noon.. i'm ally crutcher a topic that has people in eastern iowa talking today: clowns. we're hearing more stories about people dressing up as clowns -- and reporting it to police. now, a school is forced to shut down because of similar threats on social media. the threats made by people with twitter handles involving the word "clown" or pictures of clowns. a school in maryland closing yesterday because of the posts. police say the threats "i take it very seriously, lot is people focus their energy in the wrong place, they're crazy in the wrong place and this is one example... threatening schools makes no sense." the school is expected to reopen today. the threats are being made nationwide --but many have been people in iowa now calling police -- telling them they've seen clowns.

they've received reports of clown sightings the past two nights but have not heard reports of the clown threatening or harming anyone. as these reports of clown sightings continue to grow, a lot of people are getting concerned. one school district in connecticut is going as far as banning clown costumes this halloween season. as they are considered "symbols of terror." this comes as police investigate an account on instagram that shows four ph o with captions telling several area schools to "watch out" and "wait and see" let's go to storm track seven meteorologist racheal peart now

keokuk police say russell tallman killed carissa rivers. she was found in an alley sunday and died at the hospital. tallman's body was found in his home. he apparently shot himself. continuing coverage -- we're learning more about a crash involving a piece of farm equipment -- including who was involved. police say dawn conway was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after she failed to yield, causing this crash in dyersville. these types of accidents become much more common this type of swing... tolerated." after a year -- he says the state will reevaluate what wells fargo has done -- and go from there. congress is still looking for answers. lawmakers want to know why the cost of epi-pens skyrocketed. in a letter to mylan's c-e-o, the house oversight committee called on her to hand over information on epi- pen's profit margins. the c-e-o testified before the mylan makes about 50 dollars per pen on a two-pack, which costs more than 600 dollars. but the washington post says the pre-tax epi-pen profit is more like 80 dollars per pen. a messy situation after a truck hauling chocolate chip cookie dough catches on fire. this happened in indianapolis. 29-thousand pounds of sticky, sweet cookies cooking up an aroma- and a massive traffic jam this morning.
