solution for future flooding. this was the scene in cedar rapids just last week-- as a major flood came through-- most-- buisnesses and homes avoiding heavy water-- in large part thanks to the temporary flood protection efforts. storm track seven's kristin rogers joining us live from downtown cedar rapids with more--kristin? since the flood of 2008 the city has been working on coming up with a permanent flood protection system-- the temporary protectiot more than 10- million dollars--by the time it's all taken down. this video taken during the recent flooding-- the city--still waiting on around 73-million dollars from the federal governement--that was promised and approved since 2008-- but the money was never given-- mayor corbett--hoping this recent flood-- helps cedar rapids get that federal money-- in order to build a more "earlier this year flooding in louisianna, earlier before that flooding in west virginia, fires
