"its extremely important to-- you know, they're in an they're able to be there for the people and the pets that are going to be displaced by the this storm." the dogs had been up for adoption in south carolina. again - we will continue to track hurricane matthew throughout the day. two people were killed when their helicopter crashed near minneapolis. this happened yesterday evening. authorities had a difficult time identifiying the victims because the wreckage was so bad. the cause of the crash is under investigation. the wreckage of a deadly train crash removed one week later. the n-t-s-b announcing before the crash in new jersey -- the train had sped up and was going twice the 10 mile-per-hour speed limit. one woman was killed and more

a six-week-old baby boy is found dead inside a car outside of a daycare center. authorities in oklahoma say a caregiver arrived at the daycare to pick up the child. the staff told her the child was never dropped off. the woman then ran to her car, after realizing, the child had "the majority of our officers have kids some have newborns are about the same age so really kinda hits home with them death of a child it's tough on these guys." no one's been arrested -- but the investigation is ongoing. police would not say if heat was a factor in the baby's death. a fight breaks out at a court hearing for the murder of a pregnant woman. you can see the argument begin here in michigan. the victim's uncle starts to

kansas. this video captures the tornado touching down. the national weather service issued tornado warnings for several counties in kansas yesterday. hail and heavy rain also came with the storms. we haven't heard of any injuries -- but look at this -- the tornado destroying this house. the winds tore it apart. now, it's just a mostly-empty foundation. friends and relatives of the homeowner came together to dig through the wreckage and look for the family's belongings. sheriff's deputies have closed off many roads in the area, because of downed power lines. coming up ... an incredible catch caught on cam! you will want to see this story and what happened.
