at last check -- the third police officer shot this weekend remains in the hospital. new at ten -- laporte city firefighters resond to a combine fire around 5-30 tonight. according to police -- the combine started on fire in a soybean field -- and they were concerned it might spread. firefighters responded and made sure the fire didn't grow any more. an eastern iowa chplain who died finally honored this week. kwwl's shirley descorbeth explains how father al schmitt (nats) it's a special memorial mass -- fit for a pearl harbor respects to father al schmitt of st. lucas, iowa. he died in 1941...along with 428 other crew members when the uss oklahoma was attacked.
