and i'm ron steele. thanks for joining us. a social media post of an oelwein reserve officer is drawing some attention. this picture was posted to facebook earlier this week. the daily oelwein register is reporting this is an oelwein reserve officer --with his pants down pointing a gun at a hillary clinton sign. kwwl's elizabeth amanieh has more. "i spoke with people on both speech, while others say it's just taking it too far." the talk of the town in oelwein? this picture. surfacing on social media-shows a man with his pants pulled down- pointing a gun at a clinton-kaine poster. the oelwein daily register reporting the man in this photo is oelwein reserve officer jay perkins. the town of oelwein- split on how they feel.

hits a tree and bursts into street in waterloo early this morning - after a car veers off the road into a family's front yard and bursts into flames. kwwl's taylor bailey talking with a woman who saw the accident. taylor? the driver to go off the road. today--the ground is full of glass and the tree is charred the accident happening a few feet away from a family home police say there was one person heard that crash... and immediatelty woke up her mother. his wife from ames to des moines to catch a commerical flight. the university claims it didn't cost anything extra because the plane was already going that way for maintenance. however, the work was never performed, because the equipment needed wasn't available. they say the trip should not have been billed as a passenger flight even he was on board, since he was visiting a donor. a lawsuit for a local lottery- fixing case will continue. larry dawson, of webstr nine-million-dollars in 2011. he argues it should have been worth more than 25-million because the prior jackpot was fixed by former lottery worker eddie tipton. tipton was convicted of fraud and sentenced to ten years in prison. however, he is appealing that ruling. one local candidate running for the iowa house dealing with vandalism to not only political signs, but some personal

shannon lundgren spray painted--many still left in yards tonight. kwwl's brad hanson has this story. this is a familiar sight along many dubuque county roads. vandals spray painting dozens of republican shannon there. (brad hanson, @bhansonkwwl) "had it just been the signs, lundgren says they would've dealt with it on their own, but these vandals made it personal." spray painting one of their trucks, and prompting lundgren to file her second police report in one week. (shannon lundgren, state rep. republican candidate) "but when it becomes personal, and you're damaging our means of worried, because that's just not right." lundgren and her family run the trackside bar and grill in peosta, and she doesn't believe they've made any enemies. "we've been in business here ten years, and we've never had anything like this happen. and so our assumption is it has to do with our campaign, and things are looking good for us, and someone maybe doesn't want us to win."
