one person was hurt, but is expected to be okay. two people are dead after a car accident last night. this happened near the intersection of u.s. highway 18 and lancer avenue - in floyd county. 75-year-old marilyn wulff and 14-year-old jaden wulff were taken to the hospital after colliding with a pick-up. they died from their injuries. the crash remains under investigation this morning. a man is behind bars after police y year-old girl as she was leaving school. this happened just outside of iowa. the 34-year-old suspect faces charges of rape and kidnapping. police say the girl was walking to a friend's house when the man allegedly asked her if she wanted a ride. when the teen refused -- police say the suspect continued to follow her and pulled her into his car. he's then accused of forcing her into his apartment. "once they were there, he had her inside the apartment and sometime in the next few hours

her." police also say the victim was able to escape when the suspect left his apartment to get a friend. she stopped a man walking his dog -- who took her to a gas station and called police. an iowa university president is under fire for using the school's airplane for personal use. records show isu preident's used the plane to fly with his wife from ames to des moines to catch a commerical flight. the university claims it didn't cost was already going that way for maintenance. however, the work was never performed, because the equipment needed was not available. they say the trip should not have been billed as a passenger flight, since he was visiting a donor. a lawsuit for a lottery-fixing case will continue. larry dawson, of webster city, won the hot lotto jackpot worth nine-million-dollars in 2011. but he argues it should have been worth more than 25-million because the prior jackpot was fixed by former lottery worker

tipton was convicted of fraud and sentenced to ten years in prison. however, he is appealing that ruling. police are investigating an armed robbery at a family dollar store. this happening at the store on franklin street in waterloo it all happened around nine o'clock thursday night authorities say there were two suspects, and one was armed with a handgun if you have any information- please call waterloo police. a black hawk county sheriff's deputy is on administrative leave -- for an apparent weapons violation. 34-year-oe a loaded gun while drunk. according to court documents -- police were called to a waterloo gas station early friday morning for an assault. when police got there -- the victim said mcferran had assaulted them. mcferran admitted to drinking and later blew a point one six nine... three hours after the incident. according to iowa law -- it's legal for sheriff's deputies to carry a gun off duty -- but their conceal carry "it can be a game changer if

else." according to the the black hawk county sheriff's office -- mcferran is on administrative leave as they investigate the incident. the owner of an iowa mobile home park has to pay for allegedly breaking water supply and waste-water treatment rules. records show the peeters development company -- which home park in davenport -- has to pay 20- thousand dollars to the state. the state sued the company in december -- saying the park had excess arsenic levels in its water supply and failed to let residents know. the park was also accused of failing to maintain its wastewater plant from 20-13 through 20-15. a local candidate for state government is dealing with vandalism to not only her political signs, but to some personal property as well.
