girl who was found unresponsive in her home. and... neighbors react to two bodies found after hearing gunshots coming from the home. ""you're watching kwwl, we've got you covered. this is the news at ten." good evening everyone, i'm ron steele. and i'm amanda goodman. thanks for joining us. we know now the names of those involved in a stabbing attack at an apartment complex. jacobsen stabbed two people multiple times. he's charged with two counts of attempted murder. the victims are 62-year-old jeffery miller and 47-year- old denice bennett. they suffered serious and possibly life- threatening injuries. it happened at university avenue studios in cedar falls. all three people involved live there ---but police believe the victims were randomly chosen. kwwl's taylor bailey joining us

two people stabbed - one in custody -- police have finally left the crime scene --and the tape is taken down. "we have a 62 year old male that was stabbed in the back leg chest and neck looks like it may be possibly the manager" (scanner) police say two people suffer from multiple stabbing area he is tall heavy set black man black shirt" (scanner) and one person is in custody. a tenant tells us wht "supposbly our manager, was stabbed and she was awake when they took her away in the ambulance, that's all we know we dont know who did it and

in her waterloo home in may of 2015 -- and later died at the hospital. autopsy results show she died of severe trauma to her head. gracie's mother and little's girlfriend, 31-year- old kristi buss is charged with child endangerment. she also entered a written not guilty plea today. we now know the names and a little more information in a double homicide. deputies responding to the home in th of dogwood road in freeport last night. that's in winneshiek county, just outside of decorah deputies say the two people killed are 55-year-old craig freilinger and 41-year-old sarah szabo, both from decorah. witnesses say they heard multiple gunshots coming from the home. the two apparently previously dated and had just broken up. one woman says she actually found the bodies.. "i started yelling, i found them, i found them. they're here...call 911. get an ambulance, they're both dead, they're both dead."

two bodies --more information is expected to be released after that is complete. a gasoline- powered generator could be the cause of two people and two dogs dying at an area home. 33-yea-old shalynn wellner and 29-year-old damon gould the second were found dead inside this waterloo home yesterday morning. neighbors say they were using the generator for le recent flooding knocked it out. you can see appliances like a fridge and tv out on the driveway. neighbors say someone recently broke in - so the two were there watching over the home. crews believe with the garage door closed, the fumes could have gone into the house and killed everyone inside. emissions with that exhaust fumes contain carbon monoxide and in that case there was a lot probably pumped into the house and the folks didnt even

so the possible cause is carbon monoxide poisoning --but autopsies were performed today and should show the official cause of death, one person is taken to the hospital after a motorcycle crash. it happened on highway 30 at palisades lane in linn county. deputies say 52- year-old kenneth goff, of clinton, was riding his bike when he lost control and fell in the median area. he was airlifted to the university of iowa hospitals and clinics, but is expected to be ok. he was not wearing a helmet at the t an iowa man is accused of injuring two officers after trying to fight them off during an arrest. 19-year-old drew edwards, of maquoketa, charged with assaulting an officer and interference with official acts. he had a warrant out for his arrest on drug charges and tried to run away from officers. one officer was taken to the hospital with a hand injury --but is expected to be ok. four people are arrested after a fight at a local college football game. officers responding to a

the university of dubuque football game on saturday. albernard turks and latendre paylor say they were jumped by a man named james. officers then found james stewart and carlos sierra at the stadium. a witness says the four were all fighting each other. they were later arrested and charged with disorderly conduct new at ten -- the chicago cubs are just three wins away from their first world series birth in 71 years. they dropped game two of this series last night--in front of more than 42 thousand people. many from right here in the area part of that massive crowd. kwwl's brad hanson was with them for playoff baseball at wrigley. brad's back in dubuque tonight, live from the telegraph herald

crash last month. the train was traveling more than twice the speed limit when it crashed into a platform --killing one woman and injuring more than a hundred others. six tracks reopened today, as well as the ticket office. two are still closed for repairs. trains entering the station now must slow down from ten miles per hour to five. billy bush is out at the today show -- this all coming on the heels of the leaked donald trump tape from 2005 -- bush has only been with the show sicne august -- we're told he and nbc came to a financial settlement to end his contract -- he was making three- point-five million a year a driver goes off the road, over a bridge and into the water. you can see the truck here down in florida. police say the driver is safe after getting out --but crews were working to get the truck out of the water. no word on what caused the crash. a group of strangers form a
