got you covered. this is today in iowa." now on today in iowa -- voter fraud. donald trump says he has big concerns about it. this morning -- we're hearing from those overseeing the election in iowa. plus -- a parking lot attack. two people in the hospital with stabbed in cedar falls. and a fire that could cost millions. iowa investigators believe it could've been set on purpose. i'm jerry gallagher. let's check on your weather now with storm track 7 meteorologist eileen loan. good morning. we have some fog trying to get going out there this morning, although visibilities are in check

yesterday morning.. in the 50s and mid 60s, but still warmer than the 30s we should be at this time of the morning. dewpoints are dropping, too, and will be more comfortable today. a cold front tracking through is causing the winds to turn to the northwest... where they will be mainly 5 to 15 mph but could gust higher at times. we have a few clouds tracking in, as well... and we will keep some rebound into the mid 60s to low 70s for the afternoon as the winds die down to less than 10 mph. we have relatively calm weather for the next few days, but we cool down even more as we head toward the weekend. i'll have that forecast for you in a few minutes. decision 20-16 coverage three weeks from today is election day.

says he's worried about voter fraud. trump fired up supporters last night in green bay, claiming people who shouldn't be voting -- are voting -- and that voter fraud is more common than people think. they even want to try to rig the people, they say there's nothing going on. people that have died 10 years ago are still voting, illegal immigrants are voting. i mean, where are the street smarts of some of these politicians? they don't have any is right." fraud is rare. in one case -- a new york law school did find many reports of people voting twice or ballots being cast for those who have died... but those happened in large part because of clerical mistakes. iowa governor terry branstad says he has confidence in the voters -- but also says he's been concerned about the coverage leading up to the election. "let me just say it's not just

needs to cover the problems in all areas. there's a micro focus on anything that is anti-trump." iowa's secretary of state says there's a difference between media attention and actual fraud. "today i can say to mr. trump vote will be counted if you're an eligible elector." paper ballot system as an extra safeguard against internet hacking. billy bush is out at n-b-c. he's been fired from the today show. last week, he was suspended after a tape from 11 years ago was released. on the tape bush is heard laughing as donald trump talked about how fame allows him to do what he wants to women.

"today" show about two months ago. an iowa man who supports donald trump -- says his right to free speech is being stolen. he says people have been stealing his political signs for months. it's gotten to the point he put up caution tape and chicken wire -- and is offering a five- hundred dollar reward. "well, i'd sure like them back and i wish they would quit because youre violating my 1st amendment rights." he says he doesn't know who's doing it -- but believes he's being because he's backing trump. a kwwl follow-up this morning: not guilty pleas for two people facing charges after a four-year- old girl dies. chad little is pleading not guilty to first degree murder. gracie buss was found unresponsive in her home in waterloo last year. she later died at the hospital. autopsy results show she died of severe trauma to her head. gracie's mother and little's

charged with child endangerment. she's also pleading not guilty. their trial is set for november 29th. a random attack. that's what cedar falls police believe happened yesterday in a parking lot. adam jacobsen is accused of stabbing two people. he's now been charged with attempted murder. it happened at the university avenue studios on monday afternoon. jeff miller -- who's 62 -- was stabbed first. police say his injuries could be life threatening. denice bennettw she's also in the hospital with serious injuries. autopsies are now being done after two people died from gunshot wounds in winneshiek county. craig freilinger and sarah szabo were found dead in freeport sunday night. witnesses say they heard gunshots coming from the home. the two had dated and they recently broke up. we spoke with one woman who says she found the bodies. "i started yelling, i found them, i found them. they're here...call 911. get an ambulance, they're

the sheriff's office says they're not looking for any suspects. kwwl did ask law enforcement if they believe one of those who died was the shooter. they have not answered that question yet. today in court -- the man accused of firing shots inside a planned parenthood. robert dear is being treated at the colorado state mental health institute. a few months ago -- the court said he was not fit to stand last november. today, a memorial will be held for two california police officers who were killed. they were shot after being called to investigate a domestic disturbance. one officer was a 35-year veteran of the force. the other officer killed had recently returned to work after having a baby. the text message might have been a prank, but no one's laughing and now a university of iowa student faces charges. harrison

saying there was an active shooter on the u of i campus on saturday. his friend then contacted police. campus police quickly determined there was no threat. tsimouris has been charged with filing a false report. the university of iowa is warning students of a third sexual assault reported to police this semester. a campuswide alert went out over the weekend a victim reported being approached outside a residence hall by a man before the assault happened. two other assaults were reported on october 2nd and september 28th targeting a site being used by isis in iraq. this video is from the department of defense. yesterday, the iraqi prime minister said they are move -- trying to retake mosul from isis -- two years after iraq's second- largest city fell. more than one million people live there. this morning, a wildfire is burning out of control in colorado.

13-hundred acres. the fire broke out yesterday morning. firefighters don't know how it started. another fire -- this one along the pipeline being built in iowa. it happened in jasper county -- east of des moines. the fire damaged a backhoe and three bulldozers along the "it was a little intimidating with how big it was...he goes you gotta come out here. it's a big ball of flames." construction of the pipeline led to protests in iowa and other states. investigators believe the fir might have been set on purpose. there was a fire near the same spot last month. less than two weeks from halloween, we're learning about more clown masks being pulled off the shelves. target quietly pulled them. police in several states -- including iowa -- have been dealing with threats and pranks connected to people wearing clown masks. here's a boost for business downtown. hibu in cedar rapids plans to move it's

their southwest cedar rapids location into downtown by spring. the company provides digital and print marketing solutions for businesses. a milk surplus is putting a strain on iowa dairy farmers. the problem isn't only happening in iowa... but across the country. the wall street journal reports... u-s dairy farmers have already dumped 43-million- gallons of milk so far this year. however the iowa state dairy our processing plants in the midwest especially in iowa we use a lot of our milk probab - percent of our milk in iowa goes towards cheese production. experts say -- part of the problem is a drop in exports and demand. the results are in -- and the state's best pork tenderloin has been crowned. the iowa pork producer's association says this year's best breaded pork tenderloin is served in des moines. nick's is

stormtrack7 live weather network cameras may be able to catch some areas of fog this morning...although most is light... the worst will be around gravel roads and fields being harvested. this is after a very warm october day... highs got close to record levels in many areas... and tied the record in iowa city, previously set in 1950. it won't be as warm or as humid today, but it is still mild... temps this morning are in the upper 50s to mid 60s in our viewing area with some 40s to the west. dewpoints are dropping and will become more comfortable as a cold front ck northwest... where they will stay around 5 to 15 mph much of the day before dying down tonight. another cold front will track in from the north, but there isn't a lot of moisture with either front... we will mainly see the less humid and cooler weather tracking in. it will be mild, although not as warm or humid as monday. afternoon temperatures will be in the mid 60s to low 70s with northwest winds on the gusty side. winds will die down tonight and we will drop into the mid 40s... still above normal. another mild day in the 60s for

first pitch around seven p.m. there are many baseball fans out there who are not rooting for the cubs... and we're not just talking about those who cheer for the dodgers. take n-b-a player frank kaminsky. he showed up for a preseason game against the bulls wearing a cubs jersey with the name steve bartman on the back. bartman is famous for interfering with a foul ball in a cubs playoff game 13 years he says there's a sense of jealousy -- and he doesn't want to see the cubs do well. with a major drought. cleveland hasn't won the world series since 1948 when iowan bob feller pitched for the indians. they're now on the brink of their first trip to the fall classic since 1997. they knocked off toronto 4-2 and now lead that series three games to zero. cleveland could win the american league pennant this afternoon. where is bob dylan? the academy honoring him with the nobel
