one day after a stabbing attack seriously injures two people -- seemingly at random -- police now say they were also called to the complex hours before the attack. police in cedar falls say 28-year- old adam jacobsen stabbed two victims multiple times. he's charged with two counts of attempted murder and remains in custody tonight on a million dollar bond. police say all three people involved live there -- and that someone had called in a welfare check on jacobsen earlier in the day. kwwl's lauren moss digging deeper today -- she has more police officers and crime tape now gone- but have to. i told james. see i have stints in my heart..and this is a little heavy. nerves start tightening up when it's that close to home they say something like this has never happened here before as their neighbor and manager of the complex were attacked and stabbed multiple times,

street in waterloo police now saying a boy was hit breaking news police respond to an accident near west eleventh street in waterloo police now saying a boy was hit and is in serious condition. there is a large police presence -- we will pass along more details when they become available. flooding-- officials are thinking about future flooding events-- represenatives from the iowa flood center and the national weather service met at the cedar rapids library to talk about technology that's available to predict flooding-- they say local knowlege is also a helpful tool when it comes to predictions--for example recently with the flooding in independence. the downtown iowa city stucture finally brings the university's school of music back under one roof for the first time since 2008. the new facility will host a dedication ceremony and open house this friday from 4 to 6 p-m. city officials in dubuque won't try to stop the demolition of one of the city's oldest buildings. here's the building -- which dates back to before the civil war. the stone home had mostly been gutted by a previous owner and would have cost around 200- thousand dollr dollars to break down the building. last night -- the city council decided not to extend a conservation district by one block that could have saved the building. an honor flight full of iowa veterans is spending the day in washington d-c today. the fourth and final eastern iowa honor flight left cedar rapids this morning. here are some pictures from the organization's twitter.

nation's capital -- including the vietnam wall and world war ii memorial. the veterans will return to the eastern iowa airport around 10- 30 tonight. continuing our decision 20-16 coverage now -- with the election night coming in three weeks. voter fraud is a topic that has been coming up often. donald trump returning to the midwest last night with a rally in wisconsin. he addressed voter fraud during his speech -- take a listen. immigrants are voting, i mean where are the street smarts of some of these politicians (they have any that's right. so many cities are corrupt and voter fraud is very very common. trump also cited pew research in saying 24 million voter registrations are no longer valid or have errors. with that in mind we go to kwwl's kristin rogers live in

"he also even gave me a truck number, truck number 1305 and stated we were about to get our electricity shut off." "tammy says she just new something wasn't right about this phone call." the imposter demanding money immediately for a bill claiming it's past due.
