shootings. greene was having serious money problems. this week, a judge said he had physically hit and exploited his mother financially. he was told to return 10-thousand dollars to her. all of this happening hours before two police officers were shot to death in central iowa. a gun found by a search dog in the woods is believed to be the weapon used. des moines police say no person would've found the gun. it's another key piece of evidence in their investigation. whap calculated murder of two law- someone wants to argue that reality with me, my office is two doors down." hours after the shootings on wednesday morning -- greene turned himself in to a dnr officer on a gravel road in dallas county. he was taken to the hospital to be treated. he was released yesterday -- and was

handcuffs that belonged to the officers who were murdered. he's now in polk county jail...and facing two counts of first degree murder funeral arrangements are now set. des moines sergeant tony beminio -- who graduated from iowa city west -- will be laid to rest on monday in west des moines. the funeral for urbandale officer justin martin will be on tuesday in his hometown of rockwell city -- that's about 75 miles northwest of demo the tragedy is affecting people all over eastern iowa.. cedar falls third grade teacher kelly sullivan says when she woke up and heard the news the other friend... an officer who usually works the night shift in des moines.... "and i heard back from him almost right away. i was so sad. i was devastated. their courage and commitment to their job is amazing, and it's so important to honor what they do

former police officer accused of shooting an unarmed man. michael slager is charged with shooting and killed walter scott. he shot him eight times after scott ran during a traffic stop. slager faces between 30 years and life in prison if he's convicted of murder. election say is just four days from now. this morning, we're taking a deeper look at another big race in eastern iowa. senate district 32 covers bremer, buchanan, southern fayette, and northern and eastern black hawk counties. the incumbent -- is the democratic senator brian schoenjahn. his challenger -- republican craig johnson. kwwl's elizabeth amanieh tells us more about their campaigns. both candidates for senate disitrict 32 put incumbent democratic candidate brian schoenjahn- a former teacher himself-says he knows the value of a proper education. animals... a day at the state fair is a must for so many people. but, the c-d-c says 18 people have become infected with the swine flu, or the h-three n- two-v virus, at state fairs across the us. kim hutcherson has the story. more than a dozen children came down with swine that's according to a report from the c-d-c. 18 people -- 16 of them type of swine flu not seen before in humans. all of them reported some kind of exposure to pigs at handled or touched the animals, one reported indirect contact, but four said they'd simply passed through the exhibit. all of the patients are now fully recovered and researchers say they've seen no evidence of person-to- person transmission. but they warn that fair organizers should take steps to
