darrell lanier died after being shot multiple times. he was found behind franklin street tuesday morning. police say he had multiple surgeries, but died from internal injuries. a man is arrested, accused of breaking into a waterloo home on prospect boulevard in the middle of the night. police say a woman woke up to a man inside her bedroom - and the guy ran out. officers on scene were able to after. investigators say he was able to a chair and going in through a window. we're learning more about the man accused of murdering two iowa police officers. a judge had ordered scott greene to move out of his mom's basement hours beore the shootings. greene was having serious money problems. this week, a judge said he had physically hit and exploited his mother financially. he was told to return 10-thousand dollars to her.

a woman who's been missing for two months... they say she was held captive.. and now a search is underway for more potential victims. here's gabe gutierrez. "it's a two week process. i've gotten therapeutic sessions where they are going to basically shock my nerves." derek says the recovery rate is 30 to 70 percent.a risk he is willing to take. "i don't have nothing to lose at this point." nothing to lose and maybe a chance to see again. but, the c-d-c says 18 people have become infected with the swine flu, or the h-three n- two-v virus, at state fairs across the us. kim hutcherson has the story. more than a dozen children came down with swine flu after visiting the pig barns at state fairs. that's according children -- were infected with a type of swine flu not seen before in humans. all of them reported some kind of exposure to pigs at agricultural fairs. 13 sa handled or touched the animals, one reported indirect contact, but four said they'd simply passed through the exhibit. all of the patients are now fully recovered and researchers say they've seen no evidence of person-to- person transmission. but they warn that fair organizers should take steps to prevent infections in humans --
