one person is dead after an overnight car crash in cedar falls. this happened just after midnight. two cars were going west on highway 57- when they crashed on the bridge just east of main street. one person was pronounced dead at the scene and several others were injured. their names are not being released at this time. an iowa man is found guilty of gabriel coco is found guilty on assault counts after shooting two teenagers outside of a restaurant in ankeny last year. he was not found guilty of attempted murder. prosecutors say coco shot an injured the two 18- year-olds -- but his attorney says he is a u-s army veteran and struggles with p-t-s-d. continuing coverage into the tragic deaths of two iowa police officers this week. as the suspect made a court appearance yesterday, the two

central iowa police hold an escort through des moines for the fallen officers. yesterday several businesses along the route had flags up as the police escort came through. a mass will be held on wednesday, november 9th in des monies for sergeant anthony beminio of the des moines police department and some area police officers--officially got sworn in -- graduating from the cedar rapids regional police academy yesterday. the class started their 17-week training the day after five killed in dallas. and they graduated, just days after two police officers were murdered close to home--in des moines. still--they stuck with the training-- in fact-- one tells us he had no second thoughts about becoming a police academy graduate "the cheif and captain o'konek both said after the was there and nobody left then and even with the one hitting close to home in des moines and urbandale here, nobody has

us -- but that's not the case one part of the southwest. strong storms kicking up a dust storm in parts of arizona. the national weather service issued a blowing dust advisory as the storm blew over roads and communities. the dust storm was triggered by and small hail. a scary -- and unusual -- situation at a retirement community -- when a squirrel goes into attack mode. ths happening in florida -- as police say the victim was taking in some sun when a squirrel latched onto her leg and wouldn't let go. the squirrel then ran inside the center and started attacking other residents -- biting and scratching several others.

more than 100 firefighters were called out to fight a massive fire in sydney, australia today. police say two firefighters were taken to the hospital suffering from minor burns and smoke inhalation. this all happening in a car yars..where dozens of cars were destroyed, and the surrounding area was evacuated the cause of the fire is under investigation. also in sydney- a 16-year-old has been charged with starting a brush fire that ripped through two towns least seven homes. around 300 firefighters were on scene there. "it is likely, obviously enough fires from accident or negligence or even lightning the people - they need to put their lives at risk to protect other people on the basis of some idiot that decides to think it's

he remains in custody this morning. authorities are investigating the deaths of three u-s service members outside a military base in southern jordan. authorities say shots were fired as a car carrying the americans was trying to enter the base. jordan is a key u-s ally in the fight against isis. an army guard from jordan was also shot and hurt. four children were taken to the hospital after their daycare bus overturns. in georgia. five other children were on board the bus...who were immediately evacuated. police are still investigating what caused the crash. several emergency crews and police officers respond to a shooting inside a walmart this happened late thursday in pennsylvania. when officers arrived on the scene, they treated the incident like an active shooter situation. one employee was shot multiple times. "the individual was shot four times, and i am told that he is currently in stable condition. he is a very fortunate individual." authorities are still
