a tornado and flooding hit italy -- in and around rome. the top two floors of a building collapsed after a twister hit near rome. someone else was injured when they were slammed by the wind against a window. the river that runs through florence also flooded. you could feel the entire house sway. that's how someone in oklahoma described an earthquake -- which was also felt as far away as rattled central oklahoma last night. it shattered windows and brought down pieces of buildings in cushing. that's about 50 miles from oklahoma city. school has been cancelled in cushing today. a news conference is set for this morning to talk about the damage. some minor injuries have been reported. the city manager in cushing says -- this is beginning to become the new normal. after the break-- kiddos are forming their own thoughts on the election. find out what local middle schools are thinking about the candidates.

catches fire. thick smoke could be seen for miles from where it started in cedar falls. police say lost bicycles were stored in the shed -- along with -- a trailer full of police equipment and some larger pieces of evidence in cases -- like cars. the state fire marshal's office is investigating the cause. tune in at five and six for the latest developments in this investigation. post-halloween fun sends two people to the hospital. it happened during an annual delaware. police say the air cannon was about to launch when the trap door separated. the door and other parts were blasted into the air -- hitting a woman in the head and face, and injuring another man. police say both were taken to condition. inmates take over part of a prison. a union representing the prison officers in england called it a "serious incident." extra prison officers from across the country were called

the officers will deal with it as a riot. a woman is accused by walmart security of lying about her pregnancy -- and accused of stuffing stolen goods down her shirt. this happened in new mexico. the woman says she was shopping in walmart -- and when she was leaving -- she then asked to lift up her shirt to prove she wasn't hiding anything... "i've never heard of this happening before, and how humiliated and embarrassed i me into a room.. the woman says she filed a police report. she also spoke with a manager of that walmart who apologized after watching the surveillance video. walmart issued a statement saying they were sorry-- and they will take decision 2016 -- 25 hours from now, polling places across iowa will open for the 2016 general election. donald trump returning to iowa one last time before election day.

the uaw local 838 union hall. "mike and leona's legacy of service- oriented, community leadership is an example for all of us," said veridian's president and ceo monte berg. "where they saw a need, they saw an opportunity to serve. we're honored to continue their tradition." this year, veridian and retirees of the uaw local 838 are planning again to provide more than 1,000 free, meals. although mike and leona have both since passed, many of their family members will serve plates of turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, corn, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. an estimated 700 people are expected at the union hall, while the northeast iowa area agency on aging delivers another 350 plates to current meals on wheels recipients. in addition to a free meal,
