love for this nation, our best days are still ahead of us. last night's defeat ended clinton's white house quest .... clinton concedes...and one former president refused to vote last night laura bush did not vote for a presidential candidate this year however, they did vote for other republican candidates on the ballot donald trump coming out on top- winning 279 electoral college votes - passing the magic number of 270. however - it's likely hillary clinton actually got more votes - winning the popular contest. so many are trying to understand the difference between the electoral college vote and the popular vote.

to explain. the popular vote and electoral vote-two parts of the same whole. while they are similar....the electoral college's vote holds the weight. now the question many are asking is how can donald trump be president if he didn't win the popular vote let's take look at the numbers - here is a look at the popular vote. hillary clinton holds a narrow lead over donald trump - taking more votes than trump by just one percent... but still not winning the contest. in the electoral college... where it really matters. donald trump receiving 279 votes...when he just needed 270 clinton getting only 228 of those votes each state holds a certain number of those votes - for example iowa has six electoral votes... that number comes from our total number of congressmen in washington. two senators and four representatives.

for a pilot that was ejected into the pacific ocean earlier today this happening after two military jets used by the marines corps collide it all happened during a training mission one pilot did land safely at gun point. it happened in iowa city at town and campus apartments. police say last night a man was delivering a pizza when he was approached by a man holding a pistol. the suspect then took the pizza and left. nobody got hurt, but police are still looking for whoever did this. if you have any information on this -- please call police. tomorrow is a big day for starbucks
