marched through downtown. earlier in the day students walked out of two high schools to protest and make their voices heard. in chicago, a protest that started with hundreds grew to about 10-thousand people as people tried to gain access to the trump international hotel and tower. and in seattle -- five people shot. it happened near where a large anti- trump protest was happening. but police do not believe the shooting was connected to the protest. they say two of the vt dump who? dump trump. protests even happening here in iowa. many students walking out of central academy and other des moines high schools. the district did allow students to protest, saying they have a right to be heard. school leaders emailed parents letting them know of the plans. continuing coverage now... shots are fired as children walk home from school.

near downtown waterloo. there were at least six bullets in a home where neighbors say at least two young children live. across the street --- one bullet hit a home -- just feet from where a woman was napping. "scary! well, we live here so i said to russ, we could sell, but where would we go?" police don't know who twenty years in prison for trying to lure a 15-year- old boy. according to the plea agreement, kevin carpenter of mount vernon placed an ad on craigslist titled, "looking for young boy." an undercover iowa d-c-i agent saw the post and arranged to meet carpenter in august of 2014 --where he admitted everything and was arrested. today, a search committee will begin interviewing the semi-finalists for u-n-i president. the committee still has not released its list of candidates.
