one person is dead after a crash late last night. this happened just after midnight in garrison. the iowa state patrol says one person died after losing control and overturning the car in a ditch. the name of the driver has not been released. also new this morning: a 19 year old is in the hospital after a shooting in waterloo. police say it happened around 11 o'clock manson streets. police tell us a 19 year old woman was shot -- and is in the hospital. stick with us -- we expect to get more information later today. a dubuque business will now pay a 15-hundred dollar fine -- and have to give up its liquor licence temporarily. this comes after selling alcohol to minors...according to our coverage partners at the telegraph herald. the chocolaterie stam on main street in dubque. according to authorities- this is their second offense.

get its liquor license back. controversy starting over a facebook post. a woman live streams herself harrassing a cedar rapids police officer. take a listen... we got the popo wearing a black thing on her badge...she's upset cuz one of her cops got whacked in des moines this is just a quick snippet of an almost eight minute clip on facebook. she lie ordeal on facebook-- swearing repeatedly. another officer comes in--and asks her to leave-- telling her she's tresspassing-- because the owners of brewhemia--where all of this took place--wanted her out-- take a "if you come back to this location you'll be arrested for criminal tresspassing." "how can i fight the unjust descrimination." "it's not unjust descrimination." "says you!" she is eventually escourted outside. the woman in this video is melyssa jo kelly.

officer involved shooting in cedar rapids. a man who claims to be the biggest drug dealer in dubuque pleads guilty to federal charges. 26-year-old mark lembo charged with intent to distribute meth. according to court documents from our coverage partners at the telegraph herald... officers found more than five- thousand dollars worth of meth, ammunititon and a knife in his car. lembo could face anywhere from five to 40 years in prison. k-mart's pharamcy in dubuque will close next month. but, the company says the store the pharmacy will officially close on december first. this comes about two months after sears goldings announced more than 60 k-marts nationwide would close. the list does not include dubuque. even after those closures, there are still about 800 kmarts in the u-s. a power management plant in iowa will close by next year -- cuttting 140 jobs. eaton corporation in spencer is closing by next september. the plant says declining sales of

the plant opened in 1974. it was the town's largest employer for years. the corporation also has plants that'll remain operating in belmond and shenandoah. it's that time of year again... the salvation army kicking off cedar falls. this year, with more people using credit and debit, the cedar valley branches are offering season pass pins. you can buy one in specific increments at any hyvee in waterloo and cedar fall all proceeds will go toward this year's campaign to help families in need in the area. plenty of dogs are taking flight this weekend in eastern iowa! the 20-16 dock dogs world championships taking place this weekend in dubuque. more than 600 entries from all over the country converging on the five flags center in dubuque. all sizes, breeds and skill levels of dogs will be jumping to get their paws on some worldwide ceo) "anybody could do healthy and active lifestyle for

the mayor of portland, oregon made a statement about the protesting in his city. take a thousand peaceful protesters making their opinions known on hijacked that event and did terrible damage to our neighbors and friends. that's a crime and it's unacceptable. as some protested peacefully -- others did clash with here at home -- protesters in iowa city blocked i-80 for close to a half hour on friday. they were escorted back downtown. no one was arrested. protests have been happening across the country -- in response to trump's presidential victory. his supporters have been holding counter-rallies. today in iowa continues after coming up... a treatment for cancer patients

thousand teens found those with asthma were twice as likely to be smokers as their peers without asthma. teens who began smoking before the age of 11 said they continued the habit ... as a way to lessen their anxiety and stress. although teens said they knew it was bad for their lungs, many still smoked in the morning and when they were sick. kids who don't eat fruits and vegetables may be at a higher risk of developing asthma. a mile from a grocery store were 53- percent more likely to have asthma than those who lived close to a store. studies have shown eating a healthy diet can lower the risk of asthma. allergy experts are offering guidance on how and when to introduce peanuts to young children. if your child is allergic to eggs -- they are considered to be at high risk for a peanut allergy. the guidelines suggest these kids can try peanut paste or protein in a doctor's office -- between four and six months old. immunotherapy is giving hope to

protests continue across the country after donald trump was elected president. many people gathered in san their voices heard... "wanted to provide a space specifically so our families and our parents and communities and our children and our students who are filled with anxiety, frustration, fear, anger over the past couple days voice in their neighborhood." this was the third night of protesting there. a mother posts a video of her telling her young son he's kicked out for voting for trump -- in a school election. tracy clemmons explains... observed in france's national stadium last night... in memory of the victims of the paris terror attacks nearly a year ago. before the france versus sweden soccer match... players and fans, including france's president, joined in the tribute. a train derailed about 80 miles south of the twin cities yesterday. a series of train cars overturned settling in a zigzag pattern across the tracks. there are no reports of injuries. people within the area were asked to evacuate as a precaution. one persode breaking, but since the train anything of it, 'til the railings, the safety arms, they just stayed down, they wouldn't come back up." there's no word yet on the cause. we're learning more about the september's fatal police shooting that left a 13- year-old ohio

his left side. he was hit in the head, chest and abdomen. king was shot after police say he ran from an officer and pulled a bb gun that looked like a real one. police in idaho say a suspect in the shooting of two officers has died. the officers are being treated at a hospital. a police dog was also shot and wounded. the officers were looking for a suspect in an earlier shooting when shots were fired in a neighborhood friday afternoon. police are still investigating the shooting. a federal judge has ordered the state of michigan to deliver bottled water to homes in flint. people there have been living without access to safe drinking water for more than two years. the water delivery is to start immediately. the natural resources defense council called it a victory for flint residents. players and doctors are calling for the national football league to reconsider its ban on marijuana use. derrick morgan is the only n-f-l
