fire. his name hasn't been released -- as meanwhile -- hazmat crews respond to an ammonia leak on the highway after car crashes into the back of a truck in eastern iowa. this was the scene today on highway twenty near dyersville. traffic on the eastbound lane was blocked -- after a car struck the back of a truck transporting anhydrous ammonia. police say monica coohey of delhi was taken to the hospital for an injury. in a kwwl follow-up -- a state senator in eastern iowa is part of a week's election. last tuesday's election night was a very big one for republicans in iowa -- after donald trump won the state's six electoral votes and the party extended its edge in the iowa house by two seats. in the state senate -- the g-o-p also took control -- putting one term. kwwl's lauren moss is in

a big transition.. senator jeff danielson says he has a tough road ahead, but he's not worried about it...instead he says he's focusing on good policies- regardless of party. before results were in on election day- we asked senator danielson what would happen if the senate does that put local democrats? i have always talked about behalf of iowans and i will continue to do that regardless a week later with the senate now in fact under republa has maintaned that same attitude. i look forward to working across the aisle and as i said making sure that my district, the cedar valley, gets the kind of investments and benefits from these policies that we should expect. his sole focus- his district, the cedar valley. we've got a tough road ahead but i will work on behalf of my district. but like others, he's

year-old nathen davis of rockford illinois -- down central avenue here in dubuque. you can see how fast the cars are speeding down the street. just before three in the morning....the jo daviess county sheriffs office was notified the pursuit was approching their area. it continued to the julian dubuque bridge going...into east dubuque, illinois. no one injured during the pursuit, but bystanders were out at the time...putting many at risk. "some of those criteria are the time of day, depending on the number of pedestrians and motorists around, you know is school letting out at that particular time? the severity of the off a felony offense or perhaps a simple misdemeanor." davis had an outstanding warrant out of illinois for driving with a suspended license. the first violation is a misdemeanor, but the most serious type. as for clayton county -- they also

after keith duncan's big kick.... hawkeye fans flooded the field at kinnck.... and my camera captured a tense moment on the field between an iowa fan and a michigan player... there was a little shoving but both parties were seperated before the situatioin escalated... tonight the number 20 iowa state cyclones will be looking for their second win of the yg mary's in a seven o'clock tip off at hilton colisium... iowa state opened the season on friday night with a 113 to 71 win over savannah state. mount st. mary's comes to ames after

more than thirty thousand pounds of food -- that's how much food cedar valley students collected. today was the last day for the student food drive for the "what i love about this food drive is that it not only raises food but that it really teaches the kid about hunger in their community and what they can do. so i can't thank these kids
