multiple reports of gunfire in waterloo. last night -- several chidlren playing inside a home when it was hit by bullets. the house is in the 400 block of dawson street. no one was hurt. earlier yesterday -- shots fired in an alley near west parker and columbia. there were no injuries, but one home was hit there as well. funeral services are held for a woman killed in a crash. the crash happened this month on highway 57 near downtown cedar falls. her cousin, charles brooks, was arrested and charged after police say he was going more the victim's sister says she forgives him... to stop all of the arguing and fighting they've been seeing since the election. they're called the "joy-ologist" club. the group of sixth graders in carlisle is trying to spread joy with ways to reach out to students who might feel uncomfortable. shocking video of an officer hitting a woman. two officers in arizona were attempting to arrest a woman wednesday afternoon. she said they did not have a warrant for her arrest and she began to resist. that is when one officer hit her. the arizona police officer is now under investigation. three people are in the hospital after a food truck burns on a three employees were burned. the trui no word yet on what started the fire. aftershocks continue to rock parts of new zealand following monday's seven- point-eight magnitude earthquake which left two people dead. many streets remain roped off in the capital and engineers were worried about some of the "the devastation is worse than the government has ordered an investigation into the

some booster seats are getting a boost. the latest booster seat ratings from the insurance institute for highway safety earn 48 of the 53 models evaluated - the agency's highest rating of "best bet." back in 2008 when the institute began rating boosters, only a quarter of the seats evaluated earned that designation. the evaluation focuses on belt fit and does not involve crash tests. this robotic seal to touch, voice and movement. it's being tested at a senior care center in seattle. doctors say interacting with the robot helps keeps seniors alert during the day, so they sleep better at night.
