police in eastern iowa are on the hunt for a man caught on camera crawling through an elementary school classroom. surviellance video/images from the maquoketa elementary school shows the suspect inside the school - walking around - even crawling around on all-fours inside classrooms. this all happening inside briggs elementary school in maquoketa early last wednesday morning. kwwl's shirley descorbeth she has the latest on the county, reaching out to the public about this man who broke images show him in the hallway... even crawling on his knees through a classroom. parents, staff and administrators taking this break-in personally. "some people think of it as something that was done to a building, when actually we see it as something that was done to 350 students and staff members." it was wednesday, four o'clock in the morning...

"there were a couple money bags and a money box that they had in their hands at the time, but when they found out the police were arriving they dropped everything and got out the window. the suspect getting away by just seconds. and nearly a week later -- authorities releasing more images of the possible suspect. he's shown here with a woman entering an area business the same day of the school's break in... and appears to be wearing the same clothes. thank you, shirley. the maquoketa police department has received calls about the man caught on the school's security cameras. but they're still trying to identify who he is.

asked to contact police. in a kwwl follow up -- people close to the man who died in a crash along an eastern iowa highway are in shock tonight -- just one day after the deadly accident. 30-year-old richard coleman from cedar falls is sadly leaving behind a lot. kwwl's elizabeth amanieh speaking with the victim's pregnant fiance tonight. she's live in the studio. but one unaswered question i fell to the ground. and i felt like the world just got sucked." after hearing her fiance died instantly when his car crashed into a concrete pillar near the 218 overpass. "i loved him so much, i've never loved someone so much in my life. he was the sweetest person on earth, with the biggest heart. whatever i needed he took care of it, and took care of him." and ready to take care

now cedar falls police also say they don't know what caused the results. aleesa says she's planning on moving back to las vegas to be with her family. there is a go- fund-me set up for her-find more information on how you can help her at kwwl dot com. eastern iowa police and fire crews respond to a garage fire today. the 500 block of newton street in waterloo -- near the intersection with broadway. the fire appeared to be out when our crews were on scene -- but an investigation into the fire is still ongoing. a former substitute teacher, accused of having a sexual relationship with a student, is back in the court room today. mary beth haglin is facing a charge of sexual exploitation by a school employee. the former cedar rapids washington

relationship with one of her students, who was 17 at the time. haglin's story has been in the public eye since it surfaced earlier this year -- with the 24-year-old going on several national t-v shows describing her side of what happened. kwwl's kristin rogers has been digging into the saga from the start - she was at haglin's hearing today. kristin? haglin sat quietly as the state and defense went over trial logistics---specifica lly what could and the state announcing their plan to use portions of an interview of haglin on doctor phil. the defense not liking that idea-- argung they just found out about it and don't have enough time to prepare-- they also argued the interview was edited and not the raw "this is going to make this going to make this trial about what happened after and whether or not the defendant talked about it afterwards and that's not going to be to show

hitting home here in eastern iowa tonight. police in tennessee say they're investigating how fast the bus was traveling -- though witnesses say the bus appeared to be going much faster than the posted 30 miles per hour speed limit. the bus wrapped around a tree in a roadside yard -- sending several more children to the hospital with severe inuries. the 24-year-old bus driver -- johnthony walker -- is in charges of vehicular homicide, according to police. kwwl's lauren moss speaking with area schools today after the deadly crash. this is a tragic story brings up the question "who really is behind the wheel?? well, area schools want to reassure parents tonight, they are doing all the necessary safe. these images unforgetable. etched into the minds of parents all around the nation. a bus driver accused of driving recklessly and speeding-

first broadcast in 19-71 -- a run of 46 years. today -- he announced that his last day as the show's host will come next january 13 -- following coverage of iowa public television's 'condition of the state' earlier that week. a change is coming to the silver screen in eastern iowa. it is acquiring wehrenberg theatres -- including the theater in cedar rapids along council street. the new marcus location will join four other locations already operating in eastern iowa -- with waterloo, cedar falls, coralville and iowa city all having their own theater. all of wehrenberg theatrest are changing hands in the deal -- with spans 14 theaters across four midwestern states. another teacher is taking home k-w- w-l's cedar valley tools for schools award.

good evening, i'm rick coleman. the iowa hawkeyes have the opportunity to end the regular season on black friday -- it will be the last time fourteen iowa seniors take the field in kinniick -- all of them got to experience last year's 12 and oh season that culminated with the team hoisting the heroes trophy in lincoln, nebraska -- the overall significance of this year's game isn't quite the same -- but for sure to be special -- obviously it will be an

years go by kind of fast. it seems like just yesterday you're walking in, getting to know everybody, getting in to the going to be one of those things that when you come here you feel like you're never going to get to. it just seems so far away, and then time goes by so fast. before you know it you're getting ready to play your last game in kinnick stadium. friday's game kicks off at 2:30 as iowa looks to stop a trend that's seen the road team win the last four match-ups -- the notre dame football program must vacate victories from the 2012 and 2013 seasons because of academic misconduct. the ncaa says following an investigation it found an athletic trainer completed course work for two fighting irish players and
