"i think a large part of it is fun with family. we are visiting with relatives. we are in the other room watching football and or the kids get in the way in the kitchen." if you are frying a turkey do it out side ----never put a frozen turkey in the boiling oil and don't leave the yourself with a fire -- stay calm. "some people want to put baking soda, a wet rag, water on it; those are all bad. . . . make sure you have a cookie sheet somewhere near by and just slide it over it." if you find the turkey catches fire in the oven --- "don't open. keep it closed.

to school this morning. but despite their lack of sleep, there's no doubt this trip energized them. nats singing these voices have performed for thousands, but now they can add one very special set of ears to their list--pope francis. was an incredible experience watching the students soak up this experience. (aaron behnke, vocal music director) "to see them so passionately excited to be able to see the pope and to sing in these amazing churches we were able to sing at was really incredible." it's an experience they'll certainly never forget. "i feel lighter. it's weird when i saw him, all of my griefs and sadnessess and all the things i had in my mind just went away, in this together, and there were so many people there to see one man, and it was amazing." this group now extremely excited for a long weekend--their last day of school this week was today. they'll have plenty of time to re-coup from a very memorable

newsroom in dubuque, brad hanson, news 7 kwwl. thanks brad, and i'm sure lots of great stories to share over the holiday weekend. continuing coverage -- a man is caught on video crawling through an area school in the middle of the night. here's a look at the surveillance video from briggs elementary school in maquoeta. in one shot -- you see him near the school's main office. classroom. this happening last wednesday around four in the morning --so no students or staff were inside. but the burglar still "there were a couple of money bags and a money box that they had in their hands at the time, but when they found out the police had arrived at the building they dropped everything and got out the window." police releasing more images tidat of who they beleive is the suspect.

same clothes seen in the school's surviellance images. loved ones grieving tonight as they try to figure out what caused a deadly car crash. 30-year-old richard coleman jr., was driving on highway 57 in cedar falls, when he hit a concrete pillar for e thhighway 218 overpass. the crash --and coleman's family, including his pregnant fiance, are looking for answers. "i just wish this thanksgiving, people won't take their family for granted, and they tell each other when they sit down that they love each other. and they will cherish those days, because

back to las vegas to be with her family. there is a go- fund-me set up to help her -- you can find all the details on kwwl dot com. an iowa man agrees to a plea deal in the traffic death of a 15-year- old girl. 30-year-old jeffrey bulechek pleading guilty to homicide by vehicle-reckless driving and serious he admitted to driving while intoxicated in december of 2013 --when he ran a stop sign in johnson county and collided with a car which had three teens inside. one the teens, a 15-year-old girl from indiana, was killed in the crash. a man facing charges in a homicide agrees to a plea deal 30-year-old orlando moore, jr., of waterloo, pleading guilty to

robbery. those charges lowered from first degree murder. moore was arrested in 2012 after a shooting at his home in the 300 block of albany street. responding officers found then 26-year-old anthony gardner's body. investigators believe gardner was shot because of an argument involving money. moore's sentencing is set for december 5. a day care provider is now facing attempted murder charges after apparently trying to hang a minneapolis police say a parent dropping off her own child was able to rescue the 16- month old boy. officers say the daycare worker then took off in a van, ran over someone walking, hit a bicyclist and then threatened to jump off an overpass. there's no word on the motive behind any of her actions. the people hit by the car are both expected to be ok, as well as the toddler. a child is injured after a high-speed chase in johnson

driven by 20-year- old jeffrey rangel, jr. on i-80. rangel then went on to highway one north into solon, where troopers pulled off the chase. troopers then intercepted the car, and rangel lost control, crashing in the 57- hundred block of 160th st. the name and age of the child injured in the crash is not being made public at this time. a woman is arrested, accused of threatening her boyfriend with a knife while three children were in the room. deputies responding to the trailer home in epworth early monday morning, according to court documents from our coverage partners at the telegraph herald, the victim says he pushed 20-year-old alicia pollock out of the trailer, but she came back in with the knife. the two were apparently arguing over the man using dating websites. pollock faces charges of child endangerment and domestic assault

charges tonight after a crash that killed five young students and put more in the hospital. this was the scene yesterday in chattanooga, tennessee. police now say the 24-year-old driver was speeding, leading to the crash.

elementary students are on around the clock healthcare --six of them listed in critical condition --along with the five deaths. andy berke/-d- mayor, chattanooga: "the most unnatural thing in the world is for a parent to mourn the loss of a child. there are no words that can bring comfort to a mother or a father, and so today the city is praying for these families." a memorial servias remember the children killed in the crash. the school district had also set up a fund through united way to help their families. a six-year-old student is accused of sexually abusing other students on a school bus. boston police say some of the victims are as young as seven-years-old and were apparently molested multiple times and even threatened by the child. the school notifying parents

--but many parents found out days later on social media. /kiara grinkley/parent :08 "i honestly think they should have at least notified us as soon as they knew there was a situation. it was disconcerting to find out through facebook." the school district says there's no cameras on the bus where the alleged sexual abuse happened. the school issuing a statement saying it's taking the matter very seriously and is taking steps to ensure student safety. a freight train hauling grain corn derails --causing a lot of damage. here's a look at the aftermath in eastern new mexico. authorities say a wheel on one of the cars apparently broke --leading to the derailment of 14 cars. the engineer and conductor were the only two on board and were not injured. a laser pointer is aimed at some of the players during last night's
