are working on getting that back on line within the hour. weather now we may be in for a stormy week as unsettled weather is set to arrive. lets check with meteorologist kathy orr, she starts on the cbs-3 sky deck tracking chances for thunderstorms, kathy. >> it is feeling like summer, chris. very humid out here. it will not change until the weekend. lets look at storm scan three, we have clouds, showers, right now we are seeing a line of showers and thunderstorms, through northern and western suburbs and everything is moving towards the northeast. the problems are in montgomery county, you can see the heavy rain, indicating the reds and orange from gwynedd, upper dublin, 276, northeast extension near white marsh all this moving toward northeast. we have lightening associated with this particular cell, as well, so please be aware of that if you are driving this evening. now in the lower part of the montgomery county we have a flood advisory because of the heavy rain. that is until 6:30 this evening.

we're talking about heavy downpours associated with all these cells coming together ponding on area roads reduced visibility because of that heavy rain and included to ground lightening, in lower montgomery county and all that is moving into lower bucks county. right now in philadelphia 78. eighty in millville. eighty-four in dover. this evening it will stay warm and muggy. the showers will somewhat diminish but it still will be sticking around. 7:00 o'clock 76. a few showers at nine, 73. mild and muggy at 11:00 with the temperature of 70 and even areas of fog. we have a little bit of everything. the storminess will increase as we can progresses. more on that coming up later in the broadcast. questions are being raised new about when delldot knew the i495 bridge was tilting, 911 transfers were released from a driver who said he noticed the bridge seemed uneven and that call which you where to hear was placed on april 15th.

highest ranking government administration official to testify in the george washington bridge lane closures. he not only represents the the governor but his own reputation was on the line today because he could be the the next state attorney general. in what is customary practice in the investigative hearings about the george washington bridge lane closures, kevin began his testimony by clearing his name. >> i had no prior knowledge of, or played no role in the decision to close the lanes at the bridge last september. >> reporter: as chief of staff he was supervisor to bridget kelly, former christie staff era cues of conspiring to cause a traffic jam at for the for the lee as some kind of political retribution against the town's mayor. he looked to question kelly when reporters wouldn't drop the the issue. >> the the governor said something to the effect of kevin, this bridge issue is still out there, all of the noise about politics,

>> "eyewitness news" reporter todd quinones is live with more on what the protest is all about, todd. >> reporter: jessica, right now police are telling us a group of several hundred protesters are making their way toward comcast building in center city. protesters were outside at the union league just on south broad street, we have video of that, we are made up of members of the philadelphia teachers union as well as their supporters. they are protesting the tens of millions of dollars in state budget cuts to the district, governor tom corbett we're told was scheduled to have a private fundraiser here today at the union league and that new jersey governor chris christie was also expect to be here. the location of that fundraiser may have changed, but in any case as governor corbett heads in the reelection campaign the teachers want their voices heard. >> some schools need books, some schools need more than others but it that is idea that we're here to educate and we can't do it.

we have breaking news kathy was talking about you since that passing storm in the area. what we are looking at here is a flooding situation in norristown. i'll step out of the way so you can get a better idea. what you're looking at is 202 in the northbound direction where we see huge uponning of water. they have shut down 202 northbound at main street and it is affecting other roadways in this virginia interest is. traveling southbound you can still bypass through but emergency teams are on the scene. 202 northbound is shut down, dekalb street is also closed in both directions and since we are looking at this map take a look at all of the red sensors around the area have of norristown and even beyond that as we make our way out toward fort washington. traveling pennsylvania turnpike we are jam between valley forge and fort washington that is not only eastbound but we are seeing chase between fort washington and mid county tolls. we have volume on the schuylkill, we have volume on the northeast extension and take a look if you are traveling on 422, this is

things to say the the least. humidity will stick around for quite sometime and pockets of heavy rain. we are dry in center city philadelphia, even on the camden side, this, of course, a few from campbell's field, looking across the bridge. look at this sky, it tells a story, hazy skies, with lots of cloud cover and sure it is sticky, on storm scan three we are looking at some storms, heavy downpours and all this is moving toward the northeast but the big problems, have been occurring in the southern part of the montgomery county, and it is stretching into bucks county right now. places like horsham, 276, heading toward norristown. this is where it was. you can see it spreading to the north east with very heavy rain and some flooding concerns. you can see right here the green indicates a flood advisory, in the red, indicating a flood warning for horsham, abington and cheltenham, very heavy rain, going on the at the current time. in this flood prone area we're talking about downpours and

potential for ponding on roads, street flooding, need flooding in poor drainage area ab wear of. that even reduced visibility and cloud to ground lightening, associated with these storms. please ab wear. that advisory does continue until 6:30 this evening. and we're going to keep a careful eye on that because it is a very slow moving complex of storms that has come together. right now in philadelphia it is 78. allentown 73. poconos 62. down the shore quiet, temperatures ranging from 67 in beach haven to cape may at 74, rehoboth beach, delaware at 76. big thing everything is talking about over the next couple of days, will be humidity or dew point. this is the scale or the comfort index. when dew point is 50 it is awesome very dry that cooler dryer canadian air mass. the right now we are between sticky and oppressive. due points between 65 and 70. looking across region pretty much every where in that

range. that will keep it very uncomfortable over the next couple days. for your tuesday we are watching this frontal bound dry sag setting up scattered showers and storms. then warm front lifts to the north, gives us a break on wednesday, from the rain but still humid thursday and friday, another batch of showers and storms, moving through and this is not going to clear the region until the weekend. so for rest of this evening some spotty showers, they will linger into the late night hours and during the the day tomorrow we will get that day time heating and tomorrow afternoon they flare up again. where we do see rain it will be falling very heavy at times. for this evening mostly cloudy fog the scattered showers, low temperature of 68 and during the day tomorrow, high of 84. muggy with clouds, scattered showers and thunderstorms, potential for flooding again and on the three day forecast you can see wednesday, muggy and warm by thursday some showers around maybe a few storms, the high 87 degrees. we will continue to update you on the flooding situation but for now we

to starting wednesday night there will be a new bump in the road. >> is there more construction now. >> reporter: crews will start penndot's 211 million-dollar project to rebill north bound lanes between girard and allegheny avenue. crews will repairs and add a fourth travel lanes on each direction of i-95. coming here in the morning is bad. >> reporter: drivers will find a new longer construction pattern in place. >> it-rough. >> reporter: this is second largest construction contract this penndot's history. >> people become accustom to being stuck in traffic all the time but at nighttime there is no one driving and in one working. >> reporter: not this webbing crews will paint new traffic lanes and set concrete barriers from 10:00 to 5:00 wednesday through friday which means drivers will face overnight lane closures and ohio downs this week. >> speed it up, as fast as possible. >> reporter: this new product will take four years to complete. >> i hope they get it done quick and less than four

june 20th. upper darby man is under a reason rape and human trafficking charges tonight. forty-two year-old kevin cornish allegedly assaulted a woman who answered a job posting for a home health aid on craigs list. police say that the 18 year-old woman went to cornish's apartment to fill out an application and that is where she said she was rape. philadelphia police want your help to identify a suspect wanted for multiple burglar is in washington square and logan circle. take a good look, police are searching for suspect in connection with three incidents that first happened on may sixth. in each incident suspect got away with electronic, total value stand at $4,200. police are still searching for suspect who robbed this 7-eleven convenient store in june yacht a it happened 5:30 this morning on the 1100 block of east luzerne street. suspect was wearing a mask and armed with the handgun.

but nothing like seeing off to the north. this is the nature of the rest of the week. scattered showers and storms they are not every where but where they do set up they could pack a punch. lets look at storm scan three we can see what we are dealing with. scatter storms, this line over portions of the montgomery county and it has been setting there are for past several hours prompting first a flood advisory and then a flash flood warning. cell we're most concerned about is this one as we see red shading here on storm scan three right over abington, cheltenham and moving overturn pike causing major problems there. this is a flash flood warning, you can see areas in the dark red color. that goes until 8:30 tonight and proportions of, montgomery county and philadelphia county. 8:15. south east montgomery county, northern philadelphia county, rain rates exceeding 2 inches per hour with this particular cell and as we said it is not moving much at all. we are concern about street flooding and creek flooding.

week, tuesday at 40 percent chance, those showers bubbling up just like today but then by wednesday we will lower that chance to 20 percent and warm front lifts to the north. thursday that next storm system that kate mentioned moves from the west, 50 percent chance of showers and then are storms and 60 percent by friday and then we will clear it out right in time for the weekend. that is the silver lining in this forecast. right now in philadelphia, 78. millville 80. eighty-four in dover. sixty-two in the poconos. range in the temperatures. warmer temperatures to the south. we will stay quite warm and humid over next several days. we have a front just draped over us with warm, humid conditions, that frontal boundary forcing mechanism for those scatter showers and storms, and that lift to the north on wednesday we're in the warm sector so we won't have as many showers and storms, the driest day but it will be extremely warm and humid. almost a oppressive when you count all of the humidity.
