electric bill. how about these numbers? 50's the toe to north. 57 in allentown. 55 mount pocono. mid 60s philadelphia and the atlantic city airport but look at the suburbs. whoo! 58 in pottstown. 55 quakertown cool air mass not typical for the middle of june. and you compare this to this time yesterday, 24 hours ago, we're anywhere from about five to 12 degrees cooler right now. almost on the cool side if you step out overnight. storm scan3 nice and quiet. just few fair weather clouds that are moving on in from the north over the past two, three hours. no threat of any rain. these are sunday morning temperatures. many suburbs in the 50s maybe even the low 50s to around 60s very comfortable start to father's day. check out the afternoon forecast we'll see plenty of sunshine by noontime, 75 degrees. low 80s by the middle of afternoon. it will be warmer but still the humidity levels stay low. no matter where you are across the delaware valley very nice. at the shore upper 70s.

we'll bring back the heat and humidity for next week. i'll show you the seven day in a few more minutes. todd. >> justin, thank you. new tonight the female suspect involved in a violent gun store robbery in bustleton surrenders to police. and right now the search continues for the male suspect. police say the pair shot a 67 year old man outside delaware valley sports center thursday night. seven guns were stolen during that rob before he. and tonight we are hearing exclusively from a par mad deck who jumped into action while off duty and saved the victim's li life. >> philadelphia paramedic brian lackey happened to be at the gun range the night of the shooting. >> the gentleman in just left the range about three minutes later comes back into the range saying he was robbed. >> he noticed blood coming out of the victims leg. the sketch was in danger of bleeding to death. >> he looked lick a femme moral artery bleed. i stuck my finger over and in the wound to keep him from

bleeding to death until the police got there. >> the 67 year old remains in the hospital tonight. he was last listed in critical condition. lack can he told us he did what any other paramedic would have done. a 484ed boy is rushed to cooper university hospital after being struck by a car in camden. the incident happened on the 1600 block of pine street at around 1:00 o'clock this afternoon. authorities say the driver of the car that struck the child remained at the scene. no word on that child's condition. >> the spca says they have busted up a major cockfighting ring in kensington. the raid happened on the 2900 block of e street this morning. authorities say a group of men was surrounding a ring and watching rooster's fight when they broke into the home. they escaped through the back door but the home own are in was arrested. 18 roosters were confiscated. >> the fighting birds they will be held as evidence until this goes to court. and typically it's hard to

wendy gillette, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> polls are now closed in afghanistan after a mostly peaceful run off election for new president there. officials are estimating the turn out was about 60%. the candidates are a former foreign minister and ex world bank official. today the white house praised the afghan people and called the election a major step forward on the country's democratic path. >> a massachusetts mother is demanding an apology from jet blue. she claims flight attendant refused to let her three year old use the bathroom. jennifer devereaux was on a flight this week from boston to -- from new york to boston. the plane was delayed on the tarmac for about 30 minutes. devereaux says that's when her daughter shed is he needed to use the bathroom but the flight attendant demanded they stay in their seats. >> it wasn't about bad customer service at that point. it was just about bad human decency. she was sitting in pool of urine and i couldn't do anything about it. and as a mom, it just broke my heart.

>> after the incident the pilot announced that he was taking the main back to the gate for an unruly passenger. but an off duty pilot sitting in front of devereaux convinced the crew to let her stay. meantime the faa is investigating a potentially dangerous prank an air traffic controller reported played oh and pilot. delta flight 630 from japan was about to land at hartsfield jackson international airport in atlanta when a controller told the pilot to abort the landing. officials say the controller immediately said she was joking but the pilot already made the turn and could not land. the plane landed safely on the second approach. british soldiers march in central london to mark the official birthday of queen elizabeth the second. the queen actually turned 88 on april 21st, but the monarch traditionally is he brace the occasion publicly in june. elizabeth's family also took part in the ceremony much the parade which is called trooping the color has taken place in london since 1820.

into the 50s. even into south jersey. but something about our weekends lately have just been awesome across the delaware valley check this out go back two weekends ago we had high temperatures in the upper 70s with very low humidity, last weekend, same little bit warmer. mid 80s slightly above average with no humidity. here we go again this weekend. check it out. today's high seventy six degre degrees. tomorrow close to average low 80s but the humidity levels stay on the low side. they will return, though, as we head into the work week. now storm scan3 you see just a few clouds continuing to dissipate as an area of high pressure builds in from the midwest. look at that. mainly clear skies expected overnight into your day on sunday. 64 at the airport. 57 allentown. lower 60s across south jersey. 56 in lancaster. mid 50s just to the north and west in state college. that cool, dry canadian air mass continues to settle in behind yesterday' storm system that moved on out. dew point temperatures very low.

they're in the 40s. you don see this too often for the month of june. yesterday they were in the 70s that measures how much moisture and humidity is in the atmosphere. you see that, you know it's going to be very comfortable and great conditions to spend outdoors. now the reason our winds notice the arrows moving southeast that means northwest wind so it's coming from canada. cool dry air continues to build in for sunday. another great day outside. get back into the low 80s there's the high pressure system keeping us dry. starts to move offshore monday that means more of a south wind. slowly bring back the heat and humidity and then by tuesday, i think we make run at 90 degrees. if we hit that, it will be our first 90-degree day this year in philadelphia. humidity certainly on the rise. we'll talk about some more shower and storm chances. but tomorrow looks great. nice and dry, good day for dads. must be hitting the golf course very pleasant conditions. monday maybe a few more clouds move in from the west disturbance comes on through. i think tuesday main the dry

there could be isolated shower. the difference will be the heat and the humidity. very comfortable overnight. mostly clear skies, low temperature for the city 58 degrees. we should be in the mid 60s. so if the see is in the upper 50s you know the suburbs back it down into the lower 50s. nice rebound for sunday mostly sunny, warmer 83 for the high testimony cher northwest breeze continues 10 miles an hour. great looking beach weather. 78 degrees at the new jersey shore delaware beaches. a lot sunshine. have the sunblock. uv index very high. ocean water at 68 degrees. and maybe you're taking dad to the phillies game tomorrow. first pitch at 1:35 against the cubs. upper 70s beautiful conditions plenty of sunshine with a northwest breeze 10 miles per hour. all right. here's the extended forecast up to 88 monday. mostly sunny skies. and hot and humid for tuesday. a few more clouds. keep it around 99 degrees tuesday and wednesday. i think wednesday, thursday, friday there will be chance for scattered showers maybe thunderstorm each day with that warm and humid air mass in place.

pain. please help me welcome mr. jim shriner. > a pleasure to be here. > thanks for being my guest >you know jim, for those of are viewers that don't know you, why don't you just tell us a little bit about how you got involved in the world of health and nutrition. >> well, it's a pretty amazing story, if i have to say so myself, ah, at about sixteen years old i was actually paralyzed by a tumor in my third vertebrate. ah, they rushed me up to riley children's hospital up in indianapolis, indiana. specialists told me that i'd probably never walk again. i spent quite a few years laid up in the hospital. ah, it was a miraculous recovery. a surgeon came in from germany they removed my third vertebrate and literally built me a new vertebrate using my pelvis. >wow. >> built me a new vertebrate. well, mike i was in the hospital at sixteen, and after the surgery they put me in a full length body cast from head to toe and when i left the hospital i weighed a hundred and five pounds. now a lot of people here that story, and i'm very proud of being able to recover from that, but that was just the first step in my life into the health industry, as i was going through rehabilitation for my back, my

father went into the hospital with his first open heart surgery at the age of forty three. >wow. >> me to death. so i decided, right then, to take a very close look at our lives, our family history, and try to understand what was going on. i mean both my parents had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, heart disease, you know, i had back problems, ya no, you name it we had . so if hereditary was a part of the issue i had to make sure that i was doing everything that i could to rebuild my body and take care of this body that god gave us. i went back to college, studied exercise and nutrition, sports medicine. i rebuilt my body. and through that exercise and nutrition program, mike, i built my body up to two hundred and twenty pounds, and went out to california and became one of the sixteen original american gladiator contenders. so i'm living proof that you can overcome adversity. but mike, early on in my career i got to noticing some things, had back problems. >ok >>

back problems, well i'll be honest with you, growing, you know, being a gladiator, going through college i ab-, i abused my body. >yeah i've, i've seen that show [both laughing]. you prob-, you probably took some abuse on that. >> >sure. >> >> good. i got a, i tore a left rotator cuff, i tore my right knee cartilage, i twisted my ankles, i had concussions, plus remember, i had back surgery. >right, right. >> sixteen. so i had always struggled with back pain. now you talk about god in a life. i don't believe in coincidence. >ok >>i believe god plans everything. i was actually up in boston during a production. and i was telling one of the cameramen about this story i'm just telling you. i said "man my rotators hurt, and my sho, ya know", [laughing] i said "i'm, i'm forty years old and if i don't figure out how to get rid of some of this pain i'm not sure what's going to happe"" >ok >>and being in the industry, mike, i've tried all the products > >> so trust me. nothing worked. well while i was telling the story a women comes to me and she says "here, try this" >
