"eyewitness news" reporter syma chowdhry live at philadelphia police headquarters with the latest on that investigation. syma? >> good morning, yes,

authorities are investigating a police-involved double shooting that happened yesterday afternoon, in the city's fairhill section. now, authorities say, two people were shot. initial shooting took place just after 3:00 near a block party on the 3200 block of north randolph street. police found one man shot multiple times. he was taken to temple hospital where he is in critical condition. authorities believe there are three men in total who were initially involved in the incident, when a police arrived to the scene, they tried to chase after the suspect, but officers found one man collapsed in the street, and another inside a nearby home. one of the officers fired his gun hitting a suspect in the arm. now, that man was taken to the hospital, and he's in stable condition. but neighbors are outraged by the violence. >> we had fun, cook out, everything, and we want do it due to the shoot-out. >> we can't keep the kids

frankfurt, germany to return to philadelphia international airport. flight 427 landed safely last night. now, no one was hurt, passengers tell "eyewitness news" the pilot told them they had been trying to re track the landing gear, so the crew let fuel out of the plane before landing. >> since we were little heavier than usual, they were going to have to dump feel. he flew around for about 45 minutes, and you could see the fuel streaming out from the wing. and then we had a perfectly normal landing. >> airport officials tell "eyewitness news" flight 427 did not actually declare an emergency. trying to book passengers on other flights. this morning, commuters will be back on septa regional rail after brief strike over the weekend. saturday night president owe p.m. al created a emergency board at the request of governor corbett forcing union workers back to the job. the two sides will now take part in hearings starting the week of june 23rd. the board will then give a

that police officer appears to have shot a live round into protesters in rio de janeiro. police and protesters continue to battle as protests against the word cup continue. now, there were peaceful protests, but those who attempted to protect the path of police officers were pepper sprayed. right now, 4:42. memorial service is planned later this week for broadcast legend casey kasem. he died on fathers day after long battle with both parkinson's disease and dementia. he was 82 years old.

his famous quote keep your feet on the grounds and keep reaching for the stars. that was his signature sign off. who can forget that unique voice, too. long time local radio personalities reflected on kasem's passing. >> his voice was unique, i might add, in the early years, he was turned down by many program directors. they thought he didn't have arrayed yo voice because he didn't have that basey sounds, as they say, from his time period. but he proved them wrong, didn't he? >> it is not how heavy you are, it is how long you're heavy. so kacie kasem was the heavy weight in his unique format in the business for not decades but generations. >> now, in recent years, kasem was a defender every bitter family feud between his second wife and his children from his first marriage. case so many survived by his four children. it is 4:43, let's get a check on the forecast, it will be a hot one. >> it looks like it will be a pretty nice day overall.

northern hemisphere, what that is doing is hoping drew in wind flow from the south and west. that will means it is coming from warmer, definitely miler place, and also more moisture to work with, when it is coming in from that location, you have the gulf moisture to draw upon. so, upper zero's today, as we heat up, tomorrow, we're expecting 90 at least, i think the city hits 91, so it will be a very, very toasty day. wednesday, as well, into the low and mid 90s. so two straight days of very toasty conditions, and we will also notice humidity out, there as well, couple of showers or storms could pop along with that. >> at the moment it is comfortable. enjoy the 65 degrees in philadelphia, still only into the 50's through the outlying suburbs, even cooler in the poke no region maybe getting nice long weekend camping for fathers day weekend perhaps. temperatures right now, a lot milder off to the south. definitely is a sign of what we're going to be dealing with here with our forecast as that winds flow turns more southwesterly. 88 degrees, today, that's hot enough, but again, more

average speeds in the 50's, 55 traveling on 476, do have accident montgomery county, trooper at pot shop road. downed tree at front street, so weed land road your best bet here. remember in delaware, 495, ongoing closure between 12th street and terminal avenue. ninety-five your best bet. this will also be affecting dart. how do we look weather wise this morning? >> not bad at all. we came off gorgeous weaken, thanks, victoria, good to have you here this week. looking at pretty nice day overall. big difference, start to notice the humidity as the day goes on, still real comfortable outside. nice clear sky, comfortable temperatures, these temperatures will actually quite cool. let's look at storm scan3, not a heck of a lot. nothing more than hands full of clouds out this at the moment. that's generally what you will find all day today. really starting to feel like summer. now, summer officially according to the astronomical calendar will begin on saturday june 21, at 6:51.

not that we're specific or anything on the nose, but feeling much more like sum another days ahead. at the moment at 65 degrees, and six a percent humidity. very calm winds currently out of the west, will be turning more southwest as the day progresses, that will help fuel the heat for us. flirting with 90 today, thursday, inbetween, we actually do get our first 90 plus degrees days that we've had so far for not just the season but for the entire year obviously. so, 91 on tuesday, 93 on wednesday, the key here is that you have to factor in the humidity. it will feel a lot more steamy out there when you do factor that in. have couple of showers, thunderstorms along the way, hit and miss variety for the next couple of days more than anything as early as late tonight, may even be shower or storm. looking ahead to thursday, do see next cold front move in. what it will do is feature more widespread coverage of showers and storms, but we will take them at this point. what it means is that you will get cooled off little bit of relief any time the wet
