"eyewitness news", reporter, syma chowdhry, joins us now, at police headquarters with more on the investigation. syma, good morning. good morning, what was supposed to be a fun afternoon, with neighbors, quickly turns dangerous during two shootings, one of them involving a police officer, and now neighbors are speaking out. we can't keep the kids

outside. because, you know, we don't know what will happen. >> neighbors are distraut after gunfire erupts near a block party. it was a police-involved double shooting, authorities say, two people were shot, at least one by a police officer, and the fair hills section of the city sunday afternoon just after 3:00 on the 3200 block of north randolph street. >> we have fun cook out and everything, and we can't do it, we all just -- >> authorities believe, there are three men involved in the incident. police arrived to the scene, and found one man shot multiple times. he was taken to temple hospital where necessary critical condition. one officer reportedly fired his gun, hitting one of the suspects in the arm. that man was taken to the hospital, and is in stable condition. the thirds suspect is in custody. neighbors are upset over the violence, and worried for their children. a block party there, little kids can't come out, enjoy their day, the weather

nineteen year old frankel, dual us israeli citizen, also his friends, 19 year old and 16 year old. they all vanished thursday afternoon, while hitchhiking home from school. israeli's prime minister blames the islamic millitant group hamas for their disappearance. a plane returns to philadelphia international overnight following problems with landing gear. flight 427 landed saferly last night. no one was hurt. that flight was on its way to frankford germany. passengers say the pilot told them that they had been trying to retract the landing gear without success. the plane dumped fuel before landing. we circled for almost two hours, landing gear would not come up. so they let the fuel out of the plane, and to make it lighter to land, in case we had an accident landing. and we finally landed. >> airport officials tell "eyewitness news", flight 427

did not declare an emergency. well, big relief this morning, for thousands of people in our area, who depend on septa's regional rail service. after brief weekend strike, trains are now back on track. saturday night president obama created an emergency board at the request of governor corbett, forcing union workers back to the job. the two sides will now take part in hearings starting the week of june 23rd. the board will then give a recommendation to the president on july 14th. we will certainly comply with the mandates of the law, and we will be given the opportunity to present our best case to the presidential emergency board. >> sides have over eight months until another potential work stoppage, first strike since 1983. that strike lasted for three months. here's a look at some of the day's headlines on "eyewitness news", the trial expected to start today for edward doyle, he is accused of murdering his two month old daughter in hatboro, montgomery county last year.

"eyewitness news" reporter syma chowdhry is live now, at philadelphia police headquarters with the latest on that investigation. syma? >> that's right. authorities are investigating, a police-involved double shooting. it took place yesterday afternoon, and the city's fair hills section. now, authorities say, two people were shot, at least one of them, by a police officer. the initial shooting took place just after 3:00 p.m. near block party, 32 hen brown, randolph street. police fawn one man shot multiple times, taken to temple hospital where necessary critical condition. authorities believe there are three men in total who were initially involved in the incident. when police arrived to the scene, the suspect tried to run, but officers found one man collapsed in the street
