property. so we enjoy this weather, storm scan three, we are looking at a few clouds but certainly nothing to impact our daylight and how pretty the day is. this will feel like summer today but not undually like summer. we have 69 degrees at the airport. sixty-seven in trenton. sixty-five in wilmington. our temperatures are along with these dew points make it feel comfortable. due pint right now of 62 degrees. but i think these dew points should be falling this afternoon and they should fall in the 50's which means the air will start to feel even dryer then it does right now. by noon right now 77 degrees. that is a great temperature. by 3:00 p.m. our high temperature 83 degrees. normal is 84. we will be enjoying lots of sunshine as we go through the day. a couple clouds. this computer model persist in saying a sprinkle well to the north and west as we go through the afternoon. that may or may not happen. mostly you should focus on is a great summer day and i'll show thaw seven daze forecast, and we will look at the the first week of summer, nicole.

>> carol, thank you. more on the breaking news a violent night in the the city of philadelphia, philadelphia police investigating five separate shootings. two people were killed. "eyewitness news" reporter syma chowdhry is live at police headquarters with more, syma? >> reporter: that is right, nicole, several shots were fired throughout the city, overnight when police wrapping up one investigation at one shooting they had to head over to another, five in total, two fatal, one of them including a teenager. shots fired across the city overnight leaving two dead including a teenager. the first fatal shooting happened a little after 11:00. three to 400 people were in the lot having an impromptu barbecue on the 1800 block of north franklin street when police arrived to disperse the crowd. at least ten shots were fired as people spilled over to the 700 block of montgomery street. a 16 year-old boy was taken to

temple where he was pronounced dead, a 19 year-old was also taken to temple and he is listed in critical condition. this shooting was a close call for officers, as bullets hit a police vehicle. >> as a result of that shooting incident a police car was struck with a straight round. the officers were not in the vehicle at the time, fortunately for them. >> reporter: second fatal shooting happened outside of i bar on the corner of germantown avenue and rising sun avenue. a 24 year-old was walking down the street a little after 1:00 when he approached a group of people standing outside, he got inn to a confrontation in with someone and was shot twice in the torso. he was taken to temple hospital where he was pronounced dead. >> we have a scene out here. we have about 13 shell casing and there was a large crowd. >> reporter: there were three more shootings overnight. man is in critical condition at einstein after being shot around 10:30, near the 4600 block of mar vine street. and then around 11:30 another shooting, two people are in the hospital have after being shot on the 5500 block of

north american street. and another shooting, on the 1300 block of mckinley street leaves one man in the hospital, in stable condition. police say that it was a violent night. >> police officers were always concerned when there is people being shot, so we're always on guard and aware of the environment. >> reporter: police continue to investigate all five shootings. so far no arrests have been made and no suspects have been identified. we are live at police headquarters, syma chowdhry for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". all right, syma, thank you. philadelphia police release surveillance video of the suspect wanted for sexual assault and robbery in rittenhouse square. investigators tell us early yesterday morning a young doctor was walking when she was attacked from behind. the suspect forced that 26 year-old woman into her apartment, sexually assaulted her and stole hen ieven if and keys. victim is a doctor the at the the university of pennsylvania hospital. matt rivers has been tracking that investigation. >> it is just after midnight on saturday morning when the 26 year-old victim a doctor at the hospital of the university of pennsylvania, was coming home from a nearby bar. she told police that the suspect walk up behind her, grabbed her neck and forced her inside where she was sexually assaulted. >> just to think that someone could do that, writ even house looks like a nice area too. that is surprising. >> reporter: 1900 block of spruce street is a quiet road, early morning attack left neighbors a bit taken back saturday evening. >> you feel safe, in this area, but always got to be aware that you may not be. >> it seems very safe. that is why i'm surprised it happened here. you don't expect this to happen in writ even house. >> reporter: in the meantime the public is asked to take precautions as the suspect remains on the streets. >> i'm not always as aware as i could be so this will make me probably more could go is sanity of what is going on around me when i'm walking home. >> walk with people, pepper spray in my purse.

>> reporter: special victims unit is handling this case. suspect is described as a hispanic male at 5 feet, 7 inches tall wearing blue jeans and a black t-shirt, at the time of the a attack. we're near rittenhouse square, matt rivers, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". twenty year-old james daniels is behind bars charged with rape, robbery and possession of a deadly weapon. police in new castle county delaware says he punched a woman and forced her into a car where allegedly sexually assaulted her and hit her with a baseball bat. when she escaped, he reportedly drove off with her belongings. daniels remains in jail, unable to post bail. police release aid picture of the man wanted for allegedly robbing two gun ranges in the city leaving a man critically injury. the suspect, identified as jeffery chandler has the word stretch tattooed on his right hand. his alleged accomplice, has already turned herself into police. the the paris accused of robbing a gun range and delaware valley sports center gunshot and shooting range and then allegedly stealing nine

handguns and shooting a man. well, in southwest philadelphia, this man is wanted for robbing three businesses, in six days. now in each case the the suspect entered the loan, talks to the worker and pulls a gun from his right hip and demand cash. the surveillance video was taken inside the 56th street food market on thursday afternoon. no injuries have been reported but police worry about what will happen if his next victim resists. >> we're concerned about the fact he points a gun in the face of these people and maybe more aggressive, if he doesn't get what he wants. >> in all of the cases the suspect has gotten away with money, and if you have any information, you are asked to call the police. well, school is out for summer for most of our area but in one philadelphia elementary schoolteachers and parents are not very happy. they say that rodents have been over running classrooms. when they didn't get answers they wanted they turn to the

linked to bad rodent infestation. >> at this point, i'm walking away. >> reporter: let me ask don't you think children deserve a safe, healthy environment. >> absolutely. >> reporter: does this look safe and healthy to you. >> i'm not aware of that. i have never seen that. >> reporter: internal e-mails obtained by the iteam shows a different story, one acknowledges the problem sent from principal. they have followed protocol and filed a dozen complaints requesting help from the district but they say that he has done little. >> he is working on it. he has given us suggestions on how to keep the mice out of our classrooms, like to tie up our cords so they cannot climb up the cords and on your tables. >> reporter: we wanted to know what is the the status of those complaints. >> i think of i have talk to you enough. >> reporter: with no answers from the school we have check from the district. it turns out they have no record of them. >> this is a complete surprise to us but that does the not

happening today, day two of the try rocks philadelphia triathlon, this is a look at day one of the competition. more than 3,000 people signed up to swim along the schuylkill river and bike and run through fairmount park to raise money for children's hospital of philadelphia best try athletes of the world will take on olympic distancees today. organizers expect to raise $325,000 by the end of the weekend. good luck to all. also happening today, manayunk arts festival continues. hundreds of people flock to main street on saturday for the annual event now in the 26th year. it is opened from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00.

and not now. now it looks beautiful , we will hang on to great summer weather all week long. temperatures are getting mild up in the poconos, where we started in the 50's now up to 63 degrees, which is the the same temperature in allentown. we have a temperature of 65 reading. philadelphia, we're almost 70 degrees at the airport where we have been through the center city area. sixty-eight millville. 70 degrees in wildwood. it is comfortable every place. storm scan three no storms to track, and however, we do have them out there but you can still see the sun through them or if not, the clouds will get out of the way often enough that we cannot see the sun. this is a nice looking day shaping up with temperatures in the lower 80's and lower humidity. it will be a nice dry air mass. high pressure is here. that is keeping things quiet around here. it will be here tomorrow as well. we will start to move up temperature wise, in the middle 80's on the saturday and rather on monday, and then

i'm working backwards in the week. on monday. and then on tuesday we will get more in the way of humidity, summer will do that to you. we will start to see humidity coming in the picture tuesday and especially on wednesday. our future weather is wrong already according to this compute are model because he wants to put showers here. that is why i'm not necessarily going completely with what they are saying is coming this afternoon which is sprinkles out to the north and west. that is in the the to say that you might not find a sprinkle out there but the the chances are remote and the amounts would be light, and most of the area is looking at sunshine and a couple of clouds every so often. just a nice looking day, by the time we get to monday, we will find fine weather around here. temperatures in the middle 80's which is where they are supposed to be this time of the year. by the time we get to tuesday and wednesday we will start to see more humidity and a couple chances of some showers especially later in the day, on late on tuesday,

and then maybe we will see that gannon wednesday, current dew point is up to 62 degrees. it should be dropping in the middle 50's and that is in a great location. that is in the location here on the dew point scale, awesome with 50 degrees for dew points. we have a nice little cool down that we have seen over the has couple of days, we have started really hot last week in the 90's, on that tuesday and wednesday and then that temperature fluctuated, yesterday our temperatures 79, to 80 degrees, depend ing on where you were. we will be backup though several degrees higher then that today as little tiny roller coaster ridings but if you are going to the shore expect to find a sea breeze there your temperatures will definitely be cooler, 75 degrees and ocean temperature gets to 70 degrees. you just can't miss anyplace you go, 75 poconos shore, philadelphia 83 degrees with light winds today. sobriety day, tonight, and a cool, comfortable night with these temperatures dropping down to about 62 degrees.

the 70's down through wildwood do expect a sea breeze. temperatures will be cooler at the shore then they will be inland. storm scan three, we saw some clouds and we saw in that loop, of, our pictures, it is kind of an easy way to look at it from the grounds but we will look at it from the sky down and we will see satellite loop and see those same clouds moving by. no precipitation though, one of the computer models wants to say, a couple sprinkles out to the west later today but there is no guarantee that will happen. high pressure is in charge of the weather keeping things nice and it will be comfortable our temperatures will be getting 82, 83, 84 degrees. somewhere around that range as we move through the afternoon. by monday we're in the middle 80's, humidity remains, still slightly lower then what we have seen, already, this year, and then by tuesday humidity does come up and temperatures come up a little bit as well. we will watch for a sum are-like week coming up for us and here's the the computer model that has been wrong all morning about this, and, so

street and art museum circle with one more street, spring garden street between kelly drive and martin lieutenant are king drive all for try rod philadelphia triathlon taking place from now until 11:30 this morning. you can see the the cyclist and runners to the right on martin luther king drive. we will move the traffic cam here to the blue route at mid county tolls. we had that accident, that tractor trailer was there, well, it is gone and blue route at tolls is good to go now. no delays on the the pennsylvania turnpike or the northeast extension. and all on to ben franklin bridge mid span looking to the left traffic heading in to new jersey, eastbound lanes you can see construction set up there, ben franklin bridge eastbound has construction, entire length have the bridge, right lane is closed and there are already some chase, there right now traffic is moving, fine, but as soon as volume increases or you get a flurry of activity we will get a lot of chase on the ben franklin. take the walt whitman into new jersey this morning. if you are heading to the shore, ac expressway and

closing down most crook street in america to car traffic only turned it into a winding walkway. the crowding lombard street, more than ever. so, kind of backfired. well, in another part of the california, a parking sign is attracting a lot of attention is this in brentwood where the sign says you cannot leave your car for longer than a minute. one minute parking, carol, that is it. actually the sign is a mistake, it is supposed to read one hour parking. sign will remain until the city is able to make a new one. if you are one minute late here in the city of philadelphia you will get a particular, but pay those meters they don't mess around we will be right back.
