problem without a jacket today, nice mild start to the day. we'll keep the warmth around here for you today. pretty good excuse if you want to go maybe hit up the pool, hit up the beach, because it is starting to feel muggier outside. you want an excuse to cool off. temperatures however aren't terrible. they're pretty seasonable overall. really more than anything, just starting to notice the up tick in humidity which we will talk about, showers, thunderstorms, will have to be tracked, so we'll do that for you here in the minutes ahead, and for now, we send it, guys, back to you. >> get back to you in a little bitment major breaking news, philadelphia police say they've their man, just moments ago, they charged suspect in connection with a rape and robbery after doctor at rittenhouse square. >> "eyewitness news" report he jen bernstein joins us with the breaking information you'll see first on cbs-3. jen? >> good morning, police sources do tell us they have made an arrest, a 28 year old man, has been charged with rape overnight, as of right now, though, police are not yet releasing the suspect's name. now respect as of yesterday,

police brought four men into custody to question them. all of them live on a home on eighth and moore streets. police sources say they've released three of the men but since charged fourth who they pick up at broad and christian where the suspects worked. they confiscated the man's bike. over the last few days, investigate verse been working around clock to find out who physically and sexually assault add woman inside her center city apartment early saturday morning, happened 1900 block of spruce street. police say, a man locked his bike on the block, and then approached the victim with a local doctor. now, the victim told police she was threatened, forced into her apartment, where she was repeatedly raped. suspect took her cell phone and her keys. now, police sources tell us they will release the name of this suspect once commissioner ramsey has been notified of the arrest, later this morning. that's the latest outside of special victims unit, jen bernstein, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> jen, thank you. coming up on 4:33, back to

wood avenue over in the fair hills section, right over to or kid street where he collapsed. currently critical condition. police have recovered an assault rifle, near the victim. they're also looking agent surveillance video from nearby business, and interviewing couple of witnesses. suspect remains at large. >> no criminal charges for a suspect who fought back after getting attacked at knife point happened in the mayfair section yesterday. suspect pulled knife on the 46 year old woman working at stand's health foods. the woman is a former police officer, and secret service agent. >> after taking the money from the cash register, the suspect stood up and put the knife to the chest of this 46 year old store owner. >> store owner pulled a gun striking the suspect in the torso. >> taken to area torresdale where he was pronounced dead.

>> stop me if you heard this before, string of bear site this is time in mercer county, new jersey neighborhood. the black bear spot in the east windsor township yesterday afternoon right around twin rivers and farrington drive. at first people thought it was a dog, but as the animal got closer to the playground area, everyone realized it was a bear. worried about the children in the playgrounds, the dad and trenton police officer lenny pick up a chair and got within about 50 feet of the bear. >> i started: go away, bear, go away, bear. it grunted at me. i flung the chair t went away. >> have you ever seen a black bear before? >> just in the zoo. never out in the wild. >> bear was also spotted near a 7-eleven in the neighborhood. police later followed the animal into a wooded area in monroe township. >> john kerrey in iraq for the second time. meeting for the formation

crews from the company in charge have sealed that leak. they are still figuring out what caused the break. your time now 4:00 ooh. let's get a check on business news. >> money watch's jill wagner joins us from the new york stock exchange, another round of car recalls, but affecting seven big automakers, what's behind this? >> well, good morning, ukee, erika. all because of faulty airbags. they are made by a supplier in japan. so bmw, chrysler, ford, honda, mazda, nissan, toyota, all say that the airbag inflaters could rupture, and not work properly. humidity seems to play a role. so the recalls are limited to areas that had a lot of hot and humid weather, right now, more than 1 million vehicles are affected but that number could definitely go up. ukee, erika? >> jill, we know parents can't play favorites with their children, but new survey finds daughters may be better than sons in one key area. >> do tell. >> yes, uh-huh? >> that's right. it is all about finances. it turns out, daughters are

if you are coming into or through center city, this morning, it is going to be a little rough. if we can go to the maps, there again, it is 13th street closed from arch over to race. so you will be diverted either over to 11th or broad street. again, that's the stretch of 13th. that goes under the hub there, for the pennsylvania convention center. here is a live look at overnight road work along the southbound side of route one, bucks county, right near route 213. repaving some of the on and off ramments here. so with the crews out there, watch for the speeds as you roll through bucks county this morning. and then, new traffic pattern that they debuted yesterday, still with us here, i-95 southbound, again, the shift-over as you pass girard avenue, but getting ready to repaint the lines. they did some of it last night, make complete shift from the betsy ross bridge all the way down, that complete shift will be in play by the ends of this work week. otherwise, we're in pretty good shape. southbound 95, right now, just brake tap work your way between cottman and the betsy ross headed in toward downtown

philly. mass transit looking good no delays. katie, doesn't feel bad out there this morning, what are we looking at, is that 66 or 68? >> my eyes are way worse than yours. i need the big graphic, to show you what the temperatures, are otherwise i can't see that far up to the monitor from here. yes, it is mild no matter what the actual air temperature s you won't have to worry about the number on the they are mom term, mild enough no one needs a jacket, storm scan3, still basically empty. you can see some cloud cover starting to roll on through here, little more than what we saw perhaps yesterday morning, also off to the north and west, some showers, thunderstorms have, been moving in across northwestern pa. i really think unless you are in the poconos, we stay dry today. you will start to notice the mugginess, starting to pick up here, there is the nice big number i promised. 68 degrees, at the airport right now, "skycam 3" in the distance, very light wind out of the southwest, will make the humidity feel muggier, don't have a wind to make it feel more comfortable.
