"eyewitness news" reporter jen bernstein at the scene along germantown avenue with the latest, jen? >> reporter: good morning, you can can see hine me, germantown avenue, butler avenue, or butler street over to your right. now there is car is the center of their investigation right now. police did responds to the area just after 2:00 a.m. after getting a call for a shooting. here they found a man slumped over the wheel of this 1994
4:31 am
grand marquis. he was unconscious and had suffered three gunshot wounds. police returned him to temple university hospital where we hear he is undergoing surgery and is in critical condition. if you look closely at the car, there are three bullet holes that went through the driver side door window of this car. and police believe that a man who was on foot came up and shot through that window. then police say that this car hit a toyota that was pulling out of a packing shot in the area. the woman they don't believe is related to this. she has been transport today northwest detectives to talk with about what she saw. chief talked with chief inspector scott small on the scene here's what he had to say. >> found three spent shell casings, very close proximity to the driver side door, two, 3 feet away, all three shell casings, which is an indication that the shooter walk up to the vehicle and shot from point blank range.
4:32 am
>> reporter: detectives believe this car was moving at the time and ended up again crashing into this toyota. if you look at the back left bumper there, you can see, that there is damage to the car. again, the woman driver transported to northwest detectives, also, inside of the grand marquis, were two other men who were inside the car at the time. they were not injured. also, though, transported to northwest detectives, to talk about -- talk with them about what they saw. the good thing here, chief inspector scott small tells me, there are three sets of cameras in this area, one over on this side, one at a business over here, and another, at a business over here on butler street. and that's where actually they believe that the suspect ran west onto butler. so they are hoping that one of those cameras caught something that can help them finds this guy. that's the latest from north philadelphia. jen bernstein, cbs 3, "eyewitness news". >> thank you, developing right now, a triple shooting in chester, delaware county, leaves one person dead, two others injured. it happened shortly after

4:34 am
eventually because of that front, looks very likely to have just enough instability to pick up a spotty shower or pop up thunderstorm here and there. very isolated in nature, most of you will be drive, definitely something we have to mention. are you headed to the beach? it looks like the water temperature if you are brave enough to take a dip above average here most location, cape may, lewes, naught ocean city still to the 70s right now, typically only six off's, so, we're basically averaging out the further north up the shore line, it is warmer down toward wildwood, certainly on dry land, the same, 72 right now as opposed to 59 cool degrees in mount pocono. your eyewitness weather day planner features few clouds out there, start things offer, will be some sunshine mixing in with the cloud cover, and like i said, just very off chance for spotty shower, or a rumble every thunder today, and that said, you can track the weather yourself, out of your pocket. you can get the weather on the go with the brand new cbs weather app. bob is digging into his pocket now. don't load it now on the app store.

4:36 am
