bernstein joins us now on the boardwalk with the latest information. jen, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, to you both. we are expecting an us coast guard helicopter to resume the aerial search for this missing boy, at some point, this morning, we're told at daybreak. so pretty soon. we also know that an us coast guard cutter shipped from cape may is expected to join that search as we speak. it should be on the water. now, we do know that crews have been out since last night searching for the 14 year old. we know they are out in the water, searching with a smaller ship with the us coast guard, the cut sera larger ship which again should be on the water now. ocean city police departmental letter dollars the coast guard of the missing swimmer shortly before 7:00 p.m. yesterday. the darkness of night came quickly, and made searching for this young boy difficult for rescue crews. fourteen year old last seen in the water near ninth street. authorities say the teenager was swim withing friends at the time. it is believed he may have been swept by rip current. others managed to make it back

to shore. we did speak with a women who called 911. >> saw the children playing, on the rocks, and someone had fallen in the water. that's when we were not sure what happened so we called 911 and i don't know what happened. i'm really sad. >> us coast guards is hoping daybreak will assist in the is her. womb know no lifeguard on duty at the time since it was late in the day. you can see police cars here on the beach. it is beginning to get light out. so again, rescue crews are hoping that this is going to help, as they search for this missing 14 year old. of course we'll keep you updated. that's the latest, jen bernstein, cbs-3. >> jen, thank you. also, developing this morning, crews have plug up a broken water main in northeast philadelphia. that main broke at somerdale

an investigation underway to find out how security gate fell down killing three year old girl at a rita's winter eat. wynter larkin was standing outside the store when a metal gate weighing 2,000 pounds fell on top of her. police say pynter was with her mother attending a fundraiser. >> the little girl was with the parents, you know, speaking, and just horrible. >> structures just don't fall down.
