car one by one. one of those children was as young as six months old, baby bottle seen left behind. >> she don't even know that is in the vehicle trying to get these babies out. >> reporter: eyewitnesses say woman left the children alone was shopping and police say she left the the kids in the car running with the ac for at least 30 minutes. >> honor off don't matter, hot cold or nothing, sorry, it is just ridiculous. >> they are too little, you cannot leave them for two seconds. >> reporter: children were taken to st. christopher's hospital for evaluation, they are seen here walking inside on their own. police are questioning a woman they say, runs a day care on sylvester street in northeast philadelphia according to state record day care has a valid certificate that runs through the end of the year, owner karen thompson is allowed to care for up to six children at a time. neighbors say woman has watched her own children in the past but they would still trust her in the future. >> that is very unlike her, she has a really nice, demeanor, she always has the

the scene in feltonville with the very latest, pat. >> jessica, we are showing you live pictures now of the crime scene, unit that is loading the freezer, with the woman's body, inside of a flatbed truck that will go on for examination. this is a woman who ended her days in the basement, of her home, in this deep freezer. the circumstances surrounded are now under investigation. yellow police tape blocks off 4500 block have of northerly street, neighbors spent hours, staring in the the door of the home, not remembering how long it has been, since they saw the eight three-year old woman or the son who lived with her. but vanessa festivala say they all had concerns. >> there was a lot of noises coming from the house, lot of the neighbors right attached to that house, they would here banging and screaming of the women. >> reporter: last night circumstances change. >> my daughter, lives over there but she moved.

>> reporter: kia ramos says her daughter called her after speaking with her estrange husband. festivali translated. >> they said her daughter cynthia received a phone call from william saying he did a big mistake, he did something really bad and daughter questioned him and said what did you do? he said my the mother fell. she died instantly. i put her in the freezer in the basement. >> reporter: police investigators confirmed that adding that they believe that the body had been in the freezer since january. it is intact without odor. now police want to question the son. he always had the windows and doors closed. you could in the see in there. >> reporter: you're looking live at crime scene investigators who are just lowering the door on the back of this truck. that is where, the the the white freezer with the woman's body inside just came out of the basement of this home on northerly street. neighbors say they knew her, they knew húr well but they had not seen her in such a long time. police are now looking for her

son. reporting live from feltonville, pat ciarrocchi, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". all right pat, thanks very much. delaware mother is missing tonight, and her family fears the worst, in fact, a neighbor told police he saw the woman being carried out of her home on freedom trail in new castle. "eyewitness news" reporter steve paterson is live at police headquarters with the latest, steve. >> reporter: chris, it was little more than an hour ago that this went from a simple missing persons case to a gold level alert here in the state of delaware, but ever since we have been tracking it since the morning hours police have have have called this case, suspicious, that is because as you mentioned that there was testimony from a eyewitness who suspects he saw an object deduction of occur right before his eyes. he said it as our cameras were rolling today. >> she would never, never leave her kids. >> reporter: gone for nearly 40 hours a family's initial worry is turning to panic. >> if anybody has seen anything, say something.

>> reporter: police say something was said, and it is not, what the family wanted to hear. >> someone saw her being taken out of her residents, with force. >> reporter: police say based on an eyewitness report three three-year old woman was taken from her new castle home on freedom trail. the eyewitness us neighbor joe robinson who filled in the blanks with haunting detail, starting with the scream. >> it was loud enough for it to wake us up. >> reporter: when robinson got to the window he saw trader who appeared limp, unconscious, being thrown into her silver acura like the one pictured here before driving off. >> he was driving, it was like she wasn't moving or anything. >> reporter: robinson says the man was shrouded in a black hoodie wearing tan shorts. trader at 5 feet six, brown hair, brown eyes was living with the three children and cousin william who says they were relaxing just a few hours earlier before she gave him a ride to work.

we will follow-up on our top story about those children being left alone in a car today, it is a reminder when summer temperature climb leaving children in the carries never a good idea. >> health reporter stephanie stahl explains how quickly your vehicle can heat up and turn deadly. >> it may be shocking but, experts the say it is more common then you think children left in cars and soaring summer temperatures can make it even more dangerous. >> children have been shown to succumb to heat stroke, and, temperatures as low as 65 to 70 degrees. >> mild day. >> so therefore, no time is a safe time. >> there have been 619 heat

circumstances. >> yeah, cannot drive that home enough. >> never. >> kathy, thanks. good evening, everyone, lets talk about how the drive home is looking right now heading out of work. lets look at the schuylkill first, if you are traveling on 76, we have a disable vehicle on the shoulder commuting in that eastbound direction. it is approaching area of the vine street expressway, literally three guys got out and pushed that bugger out of the way. we will have residual delays on the eastbound side of the schuylkill approaching the vine but that disabled vehicle has been cleared. lets talk about the the roosevelt boulevard area, because if you are traveling on 76 around the roosevelt boulevard we are jammed, because take a look the northbound side is late from the schuylkill through to broad street. we are used to seeing that at this time but lets look at speed sensors. is 30 your average on the schuylkill, we will drop down in the teens once we get on the boulevard there, 23 on i-95, traveling on the the blue route, 476, 31 miles an hour. watch out for some volume on

on thursday. we have got a busy couple of days as we head towards the fourth of july and everybody is wondering what the fourth of july will be like and we have all heard talk about now tropical storm arthur our first name storm of the atlantic hurricane season. this will be a hurricane and latest track from the national hurricane center strengthening arthur more. what are impact for us? first lets go outside and show you a pleasant day down the shore. not quite as hot as it is for us here in the city. this is sky cam three showing you atlantic city and still a lot of people enjoying the last, few hours, of a day at the beach. beautiful day out there, looks nice to cool off the surf this afternoon. anyway you can cool off here, today and especially tomorrow you will want to take that opportunity, because the heat will be ram pink up. lets take a quick look at tropical storm arthur, still looking lopsided here. you can see the convex is in the south and east quadrant of the storm out to sea. our phillies are in miami and they may experience arthur before we do here in

philadelphia. >> it will take a few days before this lifts up the coast. impact greatest for carolina but we will feel indirect impacts from tropical storm arthur by end of the week. >> we're tracking this line of thunderstorms moving through central pennsylvania approaching harrisburg and dauphin county and eventually will get here. i want to track these on future weather, picking it up nicely as we go through model time frame, 6:00 p.m. we will expect showers and storms to make it in the lehigh valley, western berks county and lancaster county, could cross through the city around 8:00 they will die out a bit but some gusty thunderstorms to blow through in parts of the area later tonight and we will clear out overnight. that will redevelop tomorrow afternoon, tomorrow is very hot humid day, thunderstorms, love that and while they will be scattered locally heavy, thunderstorms possible for your wednesday afternoon. let's talk about the heat now temperatures in the 90's. it has been a very hot day. we will take you back to that graphic where 92 at the the airport. ninety-one wilmington. heat advisory has already been

i'm chris may with the day's top stories for you, philadelphia police questioned a woman after five children are found inside of a park car, they were in port richmond on one of the hottest days of the year, investigators say would the man left those kids in her suv to go shopping, they are, okay. philadelphia police also investigate the discovery of a woman's body inside of a deep freezer, the the discovery was made in the basement of a home in the 4500 block of northerly street in feltonville. police describe the victim as

philadelphia's ban on using e cigarettes in public is now in effect, smoking in places like offices, restaurants, bars and public parks is now illegal. when signing that law back in april, mayor michael nutter signed a ban on the selling have of e cigarettes to minors and that law went into effect immediately. pat toomey celebrated residents who served in world war two and korean war. twenty-five residents of the senior living community, on north 20th street, were personally honored for that he is services. senator toomey says nationwide investigation, in the veterans at va medical center is sickening. >> in my view, the people put on uniform of this country and risk, everything made huge personal sacrifices, and those veterans should be first in line for the the best quality health care in the world and today, they not always is that the case. >> toomey told the crowd that veterans should have more choices. he also said that he supports

you can see emergency responders who are there, and, any kind of fire that may have originated within this truck appears to be out at this time, but again, we do know that this blast did injure four people. >> thinks at third and wyoming in feltonville and as you look at the area surrounding that truck you can see it does look like it was a forceful explosion, of some sort, that is at least what it appears to look like and you can see fire crews there on the scene. it took four people that we have been told were burned and two of them suffering critical burns at this point. so clearly they are getting medical attention, right now, a big scene there, and as they zoom in there you can see a blackout portion of that truck. it doesn't sianni you cannot clearly see what type of food truck it might be but as you said those are all over the city, we will see them on so many corners. it is not uncommon at all to see these throughout the city of philadelphia and area. >> reporter: for the most part they are full kitchens
