row hems collapsed in west philadelphia. this collapse happened on spruce street in the cobbs creek neighborhood, "eyewitness news" reporter steve paterson is there with the closer look now, steve? >> reporter: and jessica lets go give thaw closer look immediately, right away, eyes on the scene, take a look back here in the 6,000 block of spruce street, and just look at that damage. but despite, what you are looking at right now, no injuries were reported, in fact, police say early on, everybody was accounted for, but everybody didn't include the family pets. from normal to this, in seconds. >> my childhood. you know, i grew up here. >> reporter: two neighborhood homes collapsed including dan chapman's childhood in what witnesses saywas a low sickening sound. >> you heard it like, a crash, you know, it was coming down everything was coming down. >> reporter: it happened before noon monday in the 6,000 block of spruce, officials with the cities licenses and inspections department, say at a glance, a

"eyewitness news" reporter jane carabao is there. >> she was just crying i was like i got shot, got shot. >> it is no story any little girl should have to recall, bullets piercing her home and her 13 year old sister crawling for help after being shot in her sleep. >> i did hear gunshot so i got down. i didn't like pay attention until i heard tia scream and i ran, and crawling towards us. >> i don't see them, and, you realize this is

i heard two shots and then i heard seven more shots. >> it is just after 12:30 when a gunfight, unfolded outside on the corner of hathaway drive and hey way lane in sicklerville. one bullet entered here ape hit hudson and honor student in the lower back. >> and, hearing the kids, and trying to make sure, that everybody tried to stay calm. >> reporter: across the street a 56 year-old woman was injured she was cut after a bullet pierced her home and shattered glass inside the bedroom. >> i'm just concerned about the grandchildren, safe place to be raised and they want to be safe when they go to bed at night. >> reporter: something this neighborhood took for granted until today saying this is usually a peaceful area new they are left wondering as police track the shooters. >> we will find out who they are and they will get what is coming to them. >> reporter: left behind reminders of how close a call this really was.

severe weather, this afternoon, and we don't have to worry about that today. just the heat. ninety-two in philadelphia. ninety in millville, and wilmington. closer to the shore, temperatures in the upper 80's. when you combine the heat and the humidity. today no issues. it is not a big problem. during the day tomorrow by noon time it feels like 99 in philadelphia feels like 100 in wilmington. temperatures in the 90's. it will not take much humidity to reach at these levels but at 5:00 on tuesday in wilmington it will feel like 02. for some of us, with asthma and breathing issues it will be rough to get outside late in the day. as that cold front gets closer, it squeeze that he is heat and humidity off coastal plane, showers and thunderstorms well to the north and west and then a better chance for everyone on wednesday, and solve these storms will be strong to possibly severe. once this front clears the coast it will be noticeably less humid with high pressure from the northwest, we will get more blue skies, lower

who those two guys are, you're asked to call police. well, long awaited closure for a family of two teenage girls murdered more than 40 years ago. berks county authorities met with sandra stiver's family to give them a proper memorial. sandra was 14 in 1968 when she vanished in kensington with her 17 year-old sister in law martha evelyn. two bodies were found in the berks county field in the late 60's but authorities didn't know the identities. a dna test last year helped bring that family closure. >> years go by and you just like you think that they will come through the door and they never come. then you have to find out this way. i mean my mom has never stopped wondering. >> now, no arrests were ever made, if you have anything about the case you are asked to contact the authorities. well, authorities in any gear use say that dozens of girls who were kidnaped two weeks ago bias lamb i can extremist have escaped to

the heat, up the the eastern seaboard will be squeezed, even far north as boston and maine. we have temperatures in the 90's in philadelphia. not just heat but humidity with this moisture east ward and chance of showers and then are storms to the north and west in the afternoon. as this front gets closer heat and humidity stick around wednesday. better chance of the scattered showers and storms for all of us. front clears on thursday, the sun comes out, blue skies, less humidity and a north wester liz wind, which is a nice, dry wind for us. severe weather threat will persist during the day on tuesday, especially to the north and west of the lehigh valley and poconos for possibility of hail and especially damaging wind. then on wednesday, getting a little bit closer to our suburbs and we will see if this severe weather threat shifts closer to philadelphia but that front will be lingering and we will keep a careful eye on. that we will keep you updated on twitter, facebook and here on cbs-3. we have a super tie fun in the
