hour, police are still searching for suspects, and a motive surrounding these two very violent crimes in north philadelphia. crimes that left two men dead and one person critically wounded. >> in north philadelphia, fatal beating and fatal beating, about half mile apart. the first incident happened shortly after 11:00 in the 2800 block of north fairhill street. there 53 year old man was beep end to death, having suffered blunt force trauma to his head. >> he was laying in a pool of blood coming from his head. >> no word on motive, but there are reports of a male seen running from that victim, possibly with a metal object. then, just after midnight, in the 2900 block of waterloo street, double shooting. >> upon police arrival, they found, two victims on the highway. a 37 year old male, suffering from two gunshot wounds to the torso, and 21 year old male, suffering from two gunshot

wounds to the torso. >> both men take never critical condition. thirty-seven year old was pronounced dead shortly before 2:00 this morning. >> fortunately we did finds several private surveillance cameras, in the area, where the shooting took place. so, hopefully, these cameras recorded something, that can help with us our investigation. >> and, again, homicide detectives are currently investigating, also interviewing witnesses, from that fatal beating to help identify a suspect or suspects. live outside police headquarters, nicole brewer, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> this morning, family test bradley pleads for the public's help to find her. more than a week since anyone has seen 33 year old miss trader, eyewitness tells cbs-3, he saw somebody forcing the mother of three into her car in the middle of the night. her family fears the worse.

that i know that i usually say every day where if you are going to find some sort of traffic, it is going to be that nugget of westbound delay approaching city avenue out to gladwynn, not seeing that just yet. again both sides of the schuylkill moving well. western suburbs and around center city of traveling 422, this shot around the area of trooper, not seeing that eastbound delay just yet. that's great news. however, in new jersey we just got words after accident on the 42 freeway northbound, right at route 41, so, expect a bit of slow down there, and also the route ten trolley, is experiencing up to 30 minute delays, as a result after accident. so, we'll let you know that clears up. hopefully soon. for this weekend, saturday, starting at midnight, into sunday, of the northeast extension southbound is closed between quakertown and lansdale. that will be ongoing until 6:00 a.m. sunday. best alternate for the weekend again is route 309. ukee? >> torrey, thank you. president obama says us is willing to negotiate cease-fire between israel and hamas, but the few g showing no signs of stopping any time

soon. cbs correspondent report on the mideast conflict. >> gaza militants fired more rockets into israel this morning. firefighters quickly put out flames after one destroyed a gas station in the southern city city, in tel-aviv emergency shelter open for those on edge as it targets major cities? don't want to go out from your house, don't want to travel, you can stay in your routine. >> says over the past 24 hours, militants have launched hundreds of rockets at israel. the iron dome missile defense system has stopped most of them, including one fired at jerusalem on thursday. >> it is outrageous attack, unbearable, unacceptable, and the idea is is determined to fight back, strike hamas, in toward toward seek their aggression. >> launched about 1100 rockets since monday. medical off initials gaza say at least 85 palestinians, including many civilians, have been killed.

passed legislature, corbett has signed pennsylvania budget. criticized lawmakers for not including pension reform in the $27 billion spending plan. the governor blamed rising pension costs for the state's $1.6 billion deficit. >> 163 school district already have been forced to raise property taxes cents, pennsylvania families, to pay for sky-rocketing pension costs. also street out, and angered lawmakers on both sides of the aisle. >> more jobs are on the way for camden. the new jersey economic development authority approved $260 million tax credit spread out over a decade. pole tech international, head cared nerd evesham, is the beneficiary. will build 600,000 square foot manufacturing facility at the port of washington. evesham's mayor says no jobs will be lost in evesham, as result of this camden expansion. your time coming up on 6:08.

>> update on deadly rowhouse fire in southwest philadelphia. the community comes together for two meetings, in the wake of the tragedy. donations continue to pour in for the victims and their families. eight homes were gutted and four children died in that fire. their final resting place, memorials, being donated to state senator anthony williams. documents show fire crews responds today that deadly fire, within five minutes. in wilmington, delaware, city officials, to eliminate seven firefighter positions, jobs that are currently

looking good around the area every route one. starting to see couple of more vehicles on the roadway. as we take a look at 95, northbound, approaching the area of 322, man, they turn this camera around. wasn't that always just happening? northbound 95, in the opposite direction, so heading northbound, if the camera was flipped the other way, sun glare up ahead. be mindful that far as you moon offer this morning, it will definitely add to the rush. we continue though jumping on over to the 42, this accident has since been moved to the 42 freeway or moved to the shoulder, on the 42 freeway northbound at 416789 and watch out for the route ten trolley. they are experiencing 30 minute delays as a result of an accident. but no major delays however at the philadelphia international airport. ukee? >> torrey, thank you. developing story tops today's headlines on cbs-3, police investigating two murders in fairhill, one man was beat tone death in the middle of fairhill street and about a half mile away, in a hour later, another man was shot to death and another critically wounded.

shooting, all within an hour. and less than a mile apart. let's go ahead, roll video, show that you scene set the stage for the first incident, 2800 block of north fairhill street. that's where police found 53 year old man, laying in a pool of his blood on the sidewalk of his own home. >> create trauma force to his head, died short time later. no word on motive, but there are reports of a male seen running from that victim possibly with a metal object. then, just after midnight, another incident there is one in the 2900 block of waterloo street, double shooting happening there, there, two men7 year old male, 21 year old male, taken to temple university hospital in critical condition. having both suffered gunshot wounds to the torso, now, that 37 year old was pronounced dead shortly before 2:00 this morning. several private surveillance cameras in the area, where the shooting took

place. so, hopefully, these cameras recorded something that can help with us our investigation. homicide detective for both incidents searching for suspect and motive at this point, also, told, that for that fatal beating, there are some witnesses, they're being interviewed by homicide detectives. >> hopefully police should have answers very soon. nicole brewer, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". nicole, thank you. other news this morning, three year old boy is in critical condition, after being hit by a car. the 53 year old driver, is under arrest, suspected of driving while impaired. it happened in north philadelphia, in the 2800 block of north fourth street. family members tell us, the child is jimmy rodriguez, at st. christopher hospital. driver did stop, but police tell us he has been charged with dui. philadelphia police have arrest add suspect in connection with an alleged sexual assault in spring garden. a woman told police, it happened around 7:00 last night. on the 400 block of north

looks awfully quiet this morning. but the wind flow starting to turn more north, generally northeasterly, as the day progress so won't feel as humid. we will still heat up in philadelphia shooting for 87 degrees, very seasonable, just that again, stray isolated, hit or miss, whatever you want to call it, it is not going to ruin your outdoor plans today, just a heads up. but i have to mention it, i wish i didn't, but i have to. meanwhile, up in the poconos, you have that shot to stay totally dry today more sun than anything, it will be a lovely afternoon, 78 degrees, with more sunshine, lower humidity, just perfect. down the shore, similar to what we'll finds in philly. that chance still remains for shower or thunderstorm. torrey over to you. >> thank you, katie. good morning, everyone, as katie was talking about the sunshine, it is definitely out there. as much as we love it in the summertime, and any time, it does affect your commute. so see how you're doing and get you outside a look at the schuylkill expressway, eastbound on 76, the traffic coming toward you. right around the area of conshohocken, doesn't look awful here, but as you hit the curve, do you slow down just a bit.

so be mindful of that. westbound on the schuylkill, no major problems just yet. but once we start feeling those inkling of rush hour, i would anticipate some westbound delays on the schuylkill around city avenue. so if you are watching us right now, you plan on leaving, in the next five minutes or so, plan ahead for that. traveling on 95 around the vine st. expressway, nice and free and clear once you get to the vine you're good. western suburbs look great. speed censors in the 40's, not wore bid things just yet. however, we have vehicle fire in montgomery county houston road at marion avenue. so be minds full of that. also, we have the phils playing tonight at 7:05. and, all weekend long, so, just know, it is a friday night. folks are headed down the shore, it is a phillies game. it is rush hour. so it will be busy. we'll talk about that little bit later on, i'll be back in the afternoon. again there is morning, not so bad. we head back toutiesting. >> we'll take not so bad. victoria, thank you. president obama lashing out at republicans who want to sue him. andrew spencer has the story of the irony behind the potential litigation. >> the legal challenge by house republicans has ironic

twist. your lawsuit argues president barack obama violated the constitution by delaying a key provision of obama care. law they fought to repeal. in a statement, thursday, house speaker john boehner said the president changed the healthcare law without a vote of congress. effectively creating his own law by literally waiving the employer mandate. that's enough to way our system of government was designed to work. president obama had a slightly different take on the lawsuit. >> usual a going to sue me for doing my job. >> quoted departed as he aired his frustration with republicans. >> sometimes i feel like saying to these guys: i'm the guy doing my job. you must be the other guy. sue him. impeach him. really? fight the family inside the houston home. fifth child survived the attack and called 911. authorities say haskill went to the home looking for his wife while disguised as delivery man. >> he was wearing a pull-over fed ex looking shirt, the purple colors and stuff of the fed ex. >> it happens all around the rest of the world but not here. >> fed ex says haskill was employed as contractor, but has not work for them since january. he's being held without bail. one of the victims who died in this huge pre-dawn fire near boston is originally from philadelphia. she is 33 year old ellen vong. this picture was taken when she was a teenager. had he daughter, along with two other children, also died in that fire. in all, seven people were killed. obviously, a horrible day in the city of local. can i not recall in recent times responding to a fire with this many fatalities. >> that fire is -- the cause

of the fire is under investigation but authorities fear fireworks may be to blame. home depo fires justin ross harris, the georgia father facing murder and child cruelty charges in the death of his son, cooper. harris is accused of leaving the 22 month old in the family's hot suv hill he went to work last month. harris was employed at the home improvement retailer corporate office as a web developer for two years. your time is 39:00. the fate of los angeles clipper owner is delayed in court, and will not likely be decided until the end of the month. shelly sterling's lawyer had requested expedited hearing to sell the team for $2 billion to former microsoft ceo steve ballmer, by july 15th. well, yesterday in court, two of donald sterling's lawyers asked for a delay because they have plans for vacation and wedding anniversary. the trial is now set for july 21, if the sale is not completed by september 15th, the nba said it could seize the team and put it up for auction. your time right now 6:39.

detectible levels of the virus in the four year old. it was a punch in the gut to see these test results last week, the doctor said in a statement. i know intellectually the child is going to be fine. but, with a lifetime of medicines ahead, it is more than just a little disappointing. >> when the baby was just 30 hours old, doctors, at the university of mississippi medical center, took the unusual step of putting the young girl on aggressive form of treatment. using not just one or two antiviral drugs, but three. that dosage continued for a year and a half until the mother stopped the treatment and disappeared. she returns to the mississippi hospital five months later with her baby, where doctors found the girl to be seemingly cured. doctor anthony, with the national institutes of health, says that's all changed. >> for reasons still unclear, one day the virus just rebounded back. so the baby was put back on therapy, and now the virus is starting to to go back down again, as you would expect when you put someone back on anti-retro viral they are.
