nightclub owner matt bendik, boyfriend of glee star becca tobin, an autopsy failed to determine what caused his death, on thursday, inside of a room at the monaco hotel, on independent mall. >> nothing suspicious at this point, no foul play at this point. >> reporter: an employee found 31 year-old bendik unconscious on his bed, medics responding from this center city station attempting to save his life. >> they attempted to perform cpr and checked vital signs and pronounced at 1:17 yesterday afternoon. >> reporter: police say he was on a business trip and not accompanied to philadelphia had been socializing the evening before, to sample the night life here, and, at the time there were no indications of any problem. >> he is supposed to be here on business, what business, i don't know, but he was speaksed to be here on some type of business. >> reporter: officials here at medical examiner's office says because the autopsy was inconclusive, toxicology tests

will now be performed, meaning the cause of the death most likely will not be known, for some several weeks. >> once that returns, then central detectives will know which way to go in terms of direction of their investigation. >> reporter: so for now the case will continue to be classified as a sudden death, as of right now, in comment from representatives of bendik family or from representatives of the tobin's family. live from independent mall, i'm walt hunter, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> all right walt, thanks very much. now to a serious accident that happened just a couple hours ago on route 206, in southampton burlington county. chopper three was over the scene, to capture the aftermath there, two vehicles involved here, and a suv that was pulling a camper. one child was air lifted from the scene at the hospital, although that child's condition was not the yet known. it is unclear what caused that crash. afternoon fire gutted this home in upper darby delaware

county, chopper three over 400 block of croyden road as fire fighters cut holes in the roof to ventilate the smoke, heat from inside. we are told that no one there was injured. >> taking a look at the weather, it is a fabulous friday across the area. >> arrangements are underway to bring cruz back to new jersey. well, now to the escalating crisis in the middle east, palestinian tonight say that hundreds of israeli air strikes have killed at least, hundred people and wounded 600 more. israel, of course, has been targeted by more than 500 rocket attacks from gaza, just this week alone and they have resulted in several injuries but no deaths. news" as we continue to track escalating violence in the middle east, get latest on the israeli/palestinian crisis on our web site at cbs philly.com. two men died in a violent overnight in north philadelphia five three-year old michael ago lar was beaten to death outside his home on fair hill street in the fair hill neighborhood. a male was seen running from that scene, a short time later police were called to north waterloo street for a double shooting. they found a 36 year-old man and 21 year-old man with gunshot wound. the 36 year-old died at the hospital. the 21 year-old is in critical condition. >> fortunately, we did find several, private, surveillance cameras, in the area, where the shooting took place, so, hopefully, these cameras, recorded something that can help us with our investigation. >> tonight police are searching for suspects and a motive, in both cases. a philadelphia man is under arrest charged with ten counts of possessing child pornography, 81 year-old raymond ellis was arrested

wednesday after an under cover investigation led police to search his apartment. ellis is being held on $25,000 bail. well, pennsylvania budget is now signed, but it is now become a big campaign issue in the race for governor. democrat tom wolf made a stop in norristown montgomery county today. our matt rivers was there and says he took the opportunity to criticize republican governor tom corbett. >> reporter: it was baseball and budget talks in norristown on friday as democrat tom wolf toured chandler bats a successful baseball bat company in montgomery county. >> the front runner, remains one day after governor tom corbett signed pennsylvania's new budge net to law. strongly criticized wolf, democrats and republicans for not including pension reform in this years budget. >> it is time to stop talking around the edges and inact meaningful reform. >> reporter: corbett says it is necessary to close pennsylvania's $1.6 billion budget gap but his challenger says criticizing the legislator is not the

waste to achieve reform. >> that is in the a way the governor should behave, especially with his own party. >> reporter: wolf offered no specific solution though when asked how he would change the system. in a new attack ad governor corbett pounded. while wolf has in the yet released an ad that will change soon. the race will be one of the most watched nationwide and millions will be spent on both sides, to try to take the governor's mansion, expect budget issues to remain top of mind throughout the campaign, not the least of which will be education funding. before wolf left the bat company here in norristown we asked him if he supports the spending $2 a tax cigarette tax in philadelphia that with go towards funding public schools. he wouldn't directly answer the the question though saying it is regrettable that philadelphians have to make that choice in the first place. we're in norristown, matt rivers, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". we have big news from the sports world today, nba superstar lebron james is heading back home to cleveland. after four years and two

a round table discussion on education brings the secretary of education to philadelphia arnold duncan joined mayor nutter at community college of philadelphia today. he says city schools are under funded but there is not much he can do secretary called on the pennsylvania legislature to adopt the cigarette tax, to help fun the schools. well, penn state university student will pay more in tuition, next year. today the penn state board of trustees, approved an average tuition increase, of 2.7 percent. the average in state undergraduate will pay $27,200

super moon, kate will have more on that coming up. lets take a look outside and show you what is going on down the the shore, look at those people. chris may, i think i see your family getting ice cream. ocean city cape may county looking good. it is pack. it will be even busier tonight, of course, these are big weeks down the shore. you have to love it. our live neighborhood network takes us to the beach patrol headquarters in margate. i was there yesterday and it was, pouring. we were visiting lucy, thankfully, dodging the rain drops, still a few folks out on the beach, why leave. the temperature is 71 degrees. we have a nice breeze, from the ocean east northeast, the waves look good, sun, surf and sand, we will focus in before we get to fall. high temperatures today ranging from 82 from the airport to 89 in philadelphia, and allentown, 86 degrees today which is seasonal for this time of the year. storm scan three we have a few showers popping up, frontal boundary over the bay and sea

breeze pushing in with that easterly win creating a few pop up showers. that is not lasting very long, this one moving south on 322, this system moving a little bit to the south toward upper dearfield but they will be losing their strength as that sun does get lower in the skies and we get towards evening. in philadelphia we are at our maximum 89 degrees, 73 millville with the shower passing through earlier, atlantic city 78. wildwood checking in at 75. high pressure will guide our weather tomorrow, with a beautiful afternoon, it will be mostly sunny, humidity will be okay, in the so bad, high temperature well in the 80's. then sunday we will watch this cold front dive down from the great lakes, bringing us a chance of the late day shower or storm but i think we will get most of the day in if not all before we will see those storms pop up north and west of the city. high temperature will be in the 80's. that front is slow to clear, the more showers, and thunderstorms are expect, at least through next monday and

tonight will be perfect viewing to keep your eye to the sky tonight, meteorologist kate billow, shows us what you can expect to see. >> thanks, kathy. clear skies tonight will make excellent viewing conditions for this, this being, of course, a super moon, this was last super man we had here in the philadelphia area last june, june 23rd of 2013. lot at this great shot over from city hall to that big beautiful bright moon in the sky. let talk about what exactly is the super moon and why did we care? what makes it different from a regular moon. super mean occurs once a year this year it will occur three times in the summer, one tonight into tomorrow, within gannon august 10th and then gannon september 9th. it will be at full point early tomorrow morning out of 7:25 a.m. so tonight and tomorrow night it will look beautiful in the sky. super moon means it is closest point to the earth making it appear, larger than other full moons we see during the year. the great conditions tonight, and then again tomorrow night. get outside and do some moon
