6:15 pm
not a big deal. just a couple sprinkles. most of this is going to fall apart and miss us to the west but i can't rule out one of these showers getting into our western areas. here's our system off the coast and you can see a few showers lining up there along the coastline bringing the risk for at least a stray shower in the shore points tonight there. they are right there lining up right along atlantic and ocean counties, generally very light. any precipitation we see tonight or tomorrow will be light and spotty and it stays cool for this time of the year. we're at 91 on tuesday but since then we've been below average for the past four days. our average high is 87 and we've averaged about 83, 84 through friday. today only got to 80 thanks to the cloud cover and tomorrow looks below normal again. at this time last year we were in the middle of a searing extended heat wave that lasts for eight days. not this time. temperatures below normal until the start of next week. it's 78 at the airport, 78 degrees in allentown as well. we're up to 71 in mount pocono and 75 in lancaster. as we zoom down the shore you

can see it is a little cooler thanks to that easterly wind. we're at 73 in rehoboth beach, 74 in cape may, 75 in ocean city like i just showed you and beach haven at 72. the ocean water a chilly 68 degrees. when you get that wind off the ocean you can see why it can't warm up past the low to mid 70's because of that cool breeze off that chilly ocean water. let's take a look at future weather. on the sky deck was seeing some blue sky, in the western suburbs blue sky but the bulk of the rain from that off shore system will miss us to the east and the bulk of the rain from that system to the west will fizzle before it gets through. overnight chance of a few showers down the shore. a couple sprinkles may move inland early tomorrow morning. don't be shocked if there's a stray shower here or there especially early tomorrow. by 1 o'clock you can see the clouds are starting to fizzle, still a couple of spotty showers around but then by four, 5, 6 o'clock i think most of us are looking at mostly sunny conditions and we keep getting drier from there.
6:17 pm
today we had that system off to the south. tomorrow a squeeze play. clouds early, maybe a shower if some of that moisture spins back towards the coast. otherwise we'll see more sunshine in the late afternoon and highs still comfortable in the low 80's. monday we start to get that storm out of here. it does tart to turn more humid but more sunshine as well to start the week. here's your beach forecast. if you're heading down tomorrow it is mostly cloudy with the chance for a couple showers, not the best beach day t rip current risk is moderate with that storm off the coast. monday is a little better, partly sunny and pleasant, up to 79 for the daytime high down the shore. if you're in the poconos sunday mostly cloudy, 77 degrees. should stay dry there. monday we're at mostly sunny again looking good, 80 degrees and some sun with a thunderstorm by tuesday. in the city mostly cloudy tonight. tomorrow clouds, cool with more sunshine peeking through in the afternoon and the chance again for an isolated shower. your eyewitness weather seven-day forecast, not looking too bad. we're up to 84 degrees on monday.
