"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo, has been tracking the latest developments at police headquarters for us, jan, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, erika there is family is trying to figure out exactly what happened, this weekend, police say, one man in a wheelchair shot and killed his own brother, not only in self de -- in self-defense, but for pro ticking his sister. >> hard to find the words, after this sudden loss of family. the victim here, police say, shot and killed by his own brother. >> brian lee said he was sleeping epp upstairs with his kids when he heard the commotion. his brother-in-law, had been shot allegedly by map's younger brother, who police say is a paraplegic, when realized what happened, lee says, it was too late. >> nothing in the worlds they wouldn't do for me, i wouldn't do for them. really genuinely great people. >> police say the shooting un happened folded here, 5800 block of filbert street in

west philadelphia. when police arrived, they found 40 year old john map, lying in the middle of the street shot once in the chest, rushed to the hospital where he later died. lee says, he has no idea what happened. >> according to police, map's younger brother told investigators, map was physically abusing him and his sister after attacking his sister, map came after him. that's when the 34 year old says he shot, he says, it was self-defense. >> i wasn't there, but at the same time, i knew that this is a tragedy, that is going to rock the family forever. >> police say this seems to have started over some sort of family dispute. police are still investigating this morning, at this point, no arrest, reporting live outside of police headquarters, january jan carab, "eyewitness news". >> in other news this morning, authorities are investigating the discovery after body in

"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo joins us from police headquarters with more on this investigation, jan, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, ukee, this investigation is continuing this morning. at this point there are no arrests. meanwhile, this family is attempt to go cope. attempt to go figure out what went wrong, so quickly this weekend. police say one man in a wheelchair shot and killed his own brother claiming did he it in self-defense, and to protect his sister. this is the victim, 40 year old john map. police say he was shot early sunday morning, around 4:00 a.m. in the 5800 block of filbert street in west philadelphia. now, police were called to that area, for a shooting, and

when they arrived they found map lying in the middle of the street shot once in the chest. he was rushed to the hospital where he later died. according to police, map's younger brother, who was in a wheelchair, told investigators that map was physically abusing him and his sister. he said after attacking his sister map started coming at him. that's when the 34 year old says he shot claiming he shot in self-defense. we caught up with family of the victim and the alleged shoot here finds it hard to make sense of what happened. >> there is nothing in the worlds that they wouldn't do for me, i wouldn't do for them, they are really genuinely great people. >> now, that man is a brother-in-law. he says he was sleeping upstairs with his kids when the shooting unfolded and doesn't know exactly what happened. but, police say, at least preliminarilly, it looks like this all started because of some sort of family dispute. again, they continue the investigation, this morning, and at this point no arrests. we'll keep you up-to-date.

litsch outside police headquarters, jan carabeo, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> thank you, jan. looking at surveillance video, just released in the hit-and-run that left a man critically injured in camden, new jersey. the victim was struck around 9:30 saturday night at north 27th and high streets. the vehicles described as white van possibly a ford model with significant front end and passenger side damage. anyone with information is urged to contact police. a woman in southwest philadelphia was just sitting on her front porch when she was struck by a van. it happened yesterday morning, around 10:00 at 65th street and dicks avenue. the victim is list in the stable condition at the hospital of the university of pennsylvania. l & i was called in to assess the structural damage to that home, and the one next-door. so far no charges have been filed. if you fly a lot, heads up for you, airline prices going up today. flyers can blame the price hike on higher tsa fees,

>> are your eyes looking for little rest? >> from constantly glaring at computer screens, our iphones, that headache or shoulder pain may be the result of eye strain. family physician doctor rob dan off, how to spot the seams. good morning, holding devices close to your face. how does it impact your eyes? >> my gosh. well i don't know it it happened to you but happened to me after day at work. first of all eye strain or digital eye strain can happen after staring at the screens for long time. do you have an ipad? >> yes. >> or digital device you look at? well, it happens after a few hours. and you can get like headaches. you can get eye strains. you can get blurriness. so it is temporary what happens. but over time, it can really disrupt your vision, and real a. >> i what are the other symptoms? you mentioned blurriness? >> yes. so what happens after you're looking for awhile? you might get like eye pain. or might get redness, irritation, something is in

there. but you might get blurriness, and do you have right bling. sometimes people's eyes tear a lot. a lot of times from it being fixed right there you might get neck pain, shoulder pain, upper back pain or headaches. and you know what? when looking at these screens, often it is really bright light. not normal to look at like the sun. you are looking at bright light. it is oven these little pixels, your eyes have to super focus. get this, sometimes we look so intentionally like looking like this, we usually bling about 18 to 20 tiles an hour, but or minutes, but when looking at this computer we bling half that amount. so your eyes get real dry. like this. one of my friends who has doctor, little thing on his computer, remember to bling. >> oh, row mind us? >> because we are so focused on, that many people don't realize, come to the office, my eyes are red, irritated. i ask them about digital devices, do you look at your phone a lot, your computer? yes, that's what dow for a living. >> doctor, a lot of people

look at their computers in the dark, as well. that's got to be strain. bright light, nothing but darkness around you. >> great point. some people have so bright it is like you're looking at this huge light. what you want to do instead of the bright light. get it to gray. ever darken the screen where it gets a little darker where it is gray, that's what you want to do. and you want to make the font little bigger. also reduce any glare. because ukee sometimes people look in a dark room which is better and lower the lights, but some people have all of this other light on, like this glare, and it is hard for the eyes to focus. that's headache and the dry eyes. so, lower the lights. raise the font. and here is a rule. twenty-20-20. >> what's 20-20-20? >> after 20 minutes, staring at the screen or computer, look out, at a distant object, wore 20 seconds. >> okay. >> about 20 feet away, so after 20 minutes, look at object 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds. that will will help your eyes relax, so you don't have the intense focus. twenty-20-20. >> i like t20 minute power nap
