counted them all up last night but we still have a lit built of lingering wet weather to track for you and we will do just that and tell you when things clear out, coming up, bob. good morning, 5:00 o'clock straight up on a thursday morning. we are looking live at 42 freeway, we're letting dust kick up. there is still construction on i-95 plus we will check with mass transit coming up next, ukee, good morning. now to the latest on the crisis in the middle east, faa lifts a ban on airlines flying in and out of israel's main airport in tel aviv. this morning smoke continues to rise as israeli tanks and war planes pummel the gaza strip. u.s. secretary of state john kerry says there has been progress made towards a cease-fire between israel and hamas. airport, jane carabao for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". now new this morning fire damages a home under going renovationnessard more delaware county. it happened just after 1:00 on the 800 block of cricket avenue. fire burned through exposed insulation material along the side of the house. no injuries were reported and cause remains under investigation. a mother and daughter injured in the food truck explosion in feltonville earlier this month have died. explosion was caught on surveillance cameras at third and wyoming. forty-two year-old olga gomez, succumbed to her injuries on sunday, her daughter jaylen landvery passed away on tuesday. family members tell us that funeral services are set for friday and their bodies will be flown to guatemala for burial. 5:03. here's traffic and weather together. katie. >> we have been dealt our fair share of sum are storms as ovulate. very frequent lightening with a lot of storms that rumbled through here. we're able to tally them up

here in the weather center. last night beat the last time we were counting up thousands of strikes. we had more than 12,000 strikes of lightening coming through our area last night with that line, but i want to take you back here and show what you happened. lets go back in time to noon yesterday as we were on the air with talk philly, nothing to be found out there on the radar but it was a matter have just a few hours before we started to see those bubbling up there of some of those thunderstorms back just outside of our viewing area and they held together really well. look at that line that came through. strike upon strike of lightening and finally it did start to dissipate over new jersey but there were heavy thunderstorms that came through delaware. the here's where we stand right now at 5:03 or 5:04 in the morning. we will see a couple clouds. it is still steamy but our front isn't totally gone so there will be a lingering shower or rumble of thunder but nothing like what we saw last night. the just one example of a photo sent in by you and our photos this came from steve

through last night. good morning to fort washington. live look at route 309 near pennsylvania turnpike in problems or delays at all coming down 309 heading in towards that turnpike interchange. boulevard looking good this morning, live look right here ound dn toward thateadlights schuylkill expressway. we have word of an accident on the northeast extension of the pennsylvania turnpike it is northbound, north of the mid county interchange. leaving turnpike itself up toward lansdale watch out for a construction zone up here which is a mess to begin w north bound we have a crash. gang in lehigh valley route 145 is block at lehigh street this morning. that is all because of a crash so local detour in effect there otherwise our i-95 no problems out of the northeast. coming up from delaware county a big dust cloud between ridley and airport from the overnight construction crew that is were milling the roadway. they are gone. the lanes are opened. schuylkill looking good into philadelphia and mass transit running with no delays, natasha, over to you.

crashed on the taiwan island on wednesday during a landing attempt. one of the plane's ten survivors and five people hurt on the ground have been treated and released. the crash was taiwan's first fatal air accident in 12 years. it is sentencing day for mentally ill woman quick of killing her own mother. she was found guilt but mentally ill of shooting her mother lolita lee to death inside this cobbs creek home in 2007. she then poured gasoline on lee's body and set her on fire. another woman was badly burn in the resulting house fene cone family of don li, the businessman was stabbed to death in april 2013, while preparing his food cart outside of his south philadelphia home. police released a surveillance image of the suspect moments after the attack. a $25,000 reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.

natasha? also several hundred workers the atlantic city show boat casino will stage a rally with toy protest its planned august 31st shut town. local 54 of the unite here union says about 200 show boat workers are expect to participate. show boat is one of three casinos in atlantic city that i could close by september. workers are hoping a buyer will step in and ultimately continue to operate show boat as a casino. a potential economic boost for struggling shore town atlantic city officials are pointing to two big upcoming concerts on the beach, as proof of how the town is trying to lure visitors as gaming faulters. arizona's governor says she's ordering a review of state's execution process after it took a condemned inmate almost two hours to die on wednesday. inmate joseph rodolphed with wood was sentenced for killing her girlfriend and her fat inner 1989. witnesses say after lethal injection procedure they could sianni hear wood breathing, and gasping for air. >> i don't believe he was suffering, it sound todd me as if he was snoring. >> nationwide this was third flawed execution this year. arizona's corrections director say protocols were followed and that wood was comatose until he died. here is your traffic and weather together, katie. >> we are thankfully seeing worst of our stormy weather make its retreat still in the completely out of the woods just yet. the we are still dealing with showers but rain we did see coming through is at least helping to wash away, any of the pollen that we are starting to see also see rack up in the atmosphere. lets look at that pollen

in the healthwatch this morning pain and itch from skin lesions could be a sign of skin cancer. researchers at temple university school of medicine found nearly 37 percent of cancerous skin lesions are accompanied by itching. 28 percent are accompanied by pain. this finding could change how doctors address their patient's symptoms. the pain and itching were more common in patient was non-melanoma skin cancers.
