kind of storms today. so it is just really going to be location dependent, and computer models, for the blame on them, are really not in any great agreement about where this happens, when this happens, if we see this severe weather with this cold front that's going to be coming through the area. you can see, we've already pick up some rain through philadelphia, and certainly, more, than this one drop, this one drop is just an indication of a downpour that we got about 4:30 or so this morning. so, lots going on with the weather, and you can see the clouds, as we are in ocean sit, just gloomy start to the day. but that doesn't mean the rest of the day is going to be the same way. we will be finding some breaks of some sunshine, but right now, this morning, on storm scan3, you can see going into cape may county, right across the bay, thunderstorm breaking out. so, people along the shore areas are listening to that. they are watching little bit of light show. we saw this go through ocean city there is batch right here, now north of atlantic city, we saw just very brief lightning here, through the philadelphia area, again, with

the rainstorm that came through around 4:30. that has totally moved on. we've got the cloud cover out there right now. we will hang onto some clouds, and we will also probably be finding some sun breaks. the problem with the sun break-in a weather set up like this is that it gets the atmosphere even more agitated, so that when a cold front comes through, it is ready for a fight, and that's why some areas could finds some severe weather today. temperatures are in the 70s. they really didn't drop that much last night. they stayed in the 70s overnight. right now, starting to climb again, 74 degrees, through philadelphia, out of that 73, that so many, such a popular number, just half hour ago. a.m. showers, p.m. storms today, the strongest will be this evening, and tonight, if you see them, strong wind gusts are possible, even small hail is possible. and could you get a downpour out of this. we have a warmfront that's going through right now, we've got low pressure system coming through. we have cold front coming through. all of that going into air that has a lot of humidity, a lot of moisture with it, once this moves on through, though,

it is out of here, and this weather is going to be fabulous. starting on tuesday, and wednesday, and thursday, i think you will love the weather. here's what it looks like right now. pretty good on this computer model. we will give this b plus for its placement first thing this morning. and then by 9:00 we are looking at few showers, still along the shore areas, many areas not seeing them, starting to see some clearing in spots. by 1:00 o'clock, few areas with couple of showers, few areas with sun, some with clouds. that is the idea. so you may n look -- may be looking at a sky saying this whole area is this way, and may not be. just know depending on where you are, as we mover through this evening, this computer model really wants to put heavier rain off to the west, then move it toward the north. so we'll see whether that happens. by the time we get to tomorrow at noon, we've got some sun, we've got some clouds, we've got some showers moving through, even late in the day. by tuesday, though, everything changes, and this weather is ideal. severe weather threat, yes. we have it here today. for the downpours, the strong

winds, and the small hail possible, and that's for the entire area. otherwise, look for temperatures in the 80s, from the shore, to the mountains, to philadelphia, with these temperatures close to the 90 degrees mark, but probably not getting there. seventy-two tonight, remember, these storms, you may find them in your area, so keep your ian your ear to the sky. we are looking at 86 tomorrow, then just ideal weather low humidity with temperatures in the 80s after that. you know, you may need this specially today. you can get the updated forecast any time with the new cbs philly weather app. you can check your live radar, which you may be needing to do today if you're way from your tv, get severe weather alerts, share storm pictures with us, download the app now on itunes, and it is coming very soon to android. liz? >> reporter: thank you, carol. the time 6:48, the time to check the roads. let's head out to ann evans at the cbs-3 traffic center hello, liz, looking at the ben franklin bridge, of course, it is empty right now closed for
