way start with breaking news this morning, a double shooting in west oaklane has left a man and a woman in the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. both haven't about taken to area hospitals with no word on their conditions. it is monday, august 4th, 2014. good morning, everyone, i'm ukee washington i'm area kay von tiehl. autopsy results are expected in a suspicious death of a 38 year old upper darby woman. she was found dead in her home sunday morning. one man is in custody, and another still on the loose, in connection with the shooting death of a three year old girl, we'll have update coming up straight ahead. right now, let's start with our forecast with kate. >> i hoping for nice little bit of wet here today. >> overall we'll ends up with pretty decent day. beats the weekend. kind of cloudy, definitely cooler than we would normally have found. so maybe little more comfortable in that regard, but yes, you always just want

bright sunshine, gets you going on a weekend, flight but we can at least promise that here today. problem is there are other sort of sidebar issues, i like to call them, start the morning off, family some fog, so we are dealing with some poor visibility in locations, so talk about that, in the meantime, also got bertha churning just off the american coastline, and we've also got new cold front that we have to talk b so despite the fact it will be pretty quiet day for us, still other things we have to talk about looking ahead and we'll break it all down in the minutes ahead, as well. back to you for now. >> see now little bit. following breaking news in philadelphia's west oaklane neighborhood. shortly before 3:00 a.m., man and woman were injured following a shooting on 71st street and george and road. police say the male victim was found shot multiple times inside car that crashed nearly 3 miles away, on cheltenham avenue near pine ridge road. there is no word on the victim ' conditions or what sparked the gunfire. autopsy results pending for mother found dead inside her delaware county home.

>> police are crying this woman's death as suspicious. upper darby police discovered 38 year old mas a/k/a's body inside her home early sunday morning, her loved ones tell "eyewitness news" she compete in the pageants, and just graduated from college with a nursing agree. >> i call my mom, my everything. >> if anybody know anything, please, don't be afraid, come forward, it is okay, come forward. we have no answer. >> authorities say they are work to go track down griffin's ex-boyfriends, meanwhile, family members tell us her car, dark gray 2014 dodge, avenger, is missing. they believe who ever is responsible for her death has it. new this morning, a woman is burned in a quick moving fire in olney over night, happened 230 block of the 300 block of ashdale street. officials say that the fire was the heaviest in the rear of the home fueled by large amount of debris and clutter.

it was placed under control in about a half hour. no word right now on what caused that blaze. 4:33 right now, our traffic and weather together. katy? >> good morning, everybody, we will start things off here with a view of "skycam 3", what you initially might notice offer the bat. the sky little bit showing more signs of cloud cover. you can make out some of the lighting reflected off of the clothes, and little hazy to start the day. over center city at the moment, no major concerns in terms of fog. but we're already seeing those concerns back to some of the western suburbs, so we talk advice inability second. storm scan3, empty, in the clear for the moment. see the higher level cloud cover starting to pull away, but if you look real closely, you got to look closely, you can see that really thin vale of gray that shows up over southeastern pa. so that's some of the lower lying cloud cover starting to settle in. a lot of times it can be difficult to make it out on your sat diet. area of visibilities, less

than ideal. check it out, below a half mile in the pocono region, generally ridge stops where you will find worse of the fog today. 1.2 miles right now the pinelands, little lower though depending on location or higher. so it will be kind of hit and miss as go throughout the morning, and depending how far your travels will take you you may see whole variety pack of visibility issues, be ready for it, 71 the current temperature at the airport, 64 atlantic city, nice calm winds to allow the fog to settle in. we are expecting sun as the day progresses, problem is still. in the atmosphere, can't rule out shower or storm, most of you generally dry, though, and it will be kind of steamy outside. change every pace, bob. good morning. >> good morning, katie. 71 degrees out there on 4:34 on monday. looking live at i-95. right in the construction zone, later on today penndot will open up the girard avenue to aramingo avenue. right now though looking good if you are headed south in

toward the city. problems at all up and down i-95. coming from south jersey looking good, ben franklin bridge, no problems, nice and quiet coming in toward downtown philly. coming back from the shore, like a lot of folks do on a monday morning in the summertime, we're good to go. little fog down there, too, along the shore lines. but, coming back on the atlantic city expressway, parkway, 47, all in good shape to start our monday morning. no problems object majors like 476 or the schuylkill expressway, clear to go. and we're still in the midst of the septa trolley tunnel blitz. all the way through next week, all of the trolleys, subway surface trolleys, are diverted at 40th and market, from there there commuters with use the market frankford line to commute into and out of center city, erika, back to you. >> second suspect is still on the loose, want in the connection with shooting death of three year old girl. >> this man, douglas woods, in custody facing murder and attempted murder charges. he was arrested friday night after the shootings on the

1500 block of educating street in grays ferry. three year old was hit while sitting on a porch. a 24 year old plan was shot in the head and remains critical. another man was shot in the leg and a woman was hit in the arm. police say two month old baby was severe injuries allegedly suffered at the hands of his father has died. twenty year old brian armstrong is charged with aggravated assault and other offenses and is being held on $5 million bail. authorities say the child, who lived in the 6200 block of old york road, in west oaklane, had injuries to his body, including the ribs and skull. the child died of his injuries yesterday afternoon, after being on life support since friday. well, surveillance video captures the moment a teen crashes into a building in northeast philadelphia. it happened just before 7:00 last night at cottman and castor in burholme. one man was hurt, he was taken to area torresdale hospital. his condition has not been released and investigation is underway to determine how it all happened. >> the funeral for three

children killed in a carjacking crash will be held today. services started at 11:00 in the north philadelphia seventh day adventist church on west oxford street. nba hall of famer charles bashly has reportedly offered to help pay for the services. fifteen year old kira williams, seven year old terrence moore, ten year old joseph were killed on july 25th. their mother survived but remains in critical condition. two arrested and charged. >> governor tom corbett heads to harrisburg to head to lawmakers about the cigarette sales tax. money from that tax will help fund philadelphia schools and close its $81 million budget gap. gop leaders say the bill will have the city impose tax, still lacks enough votes to pass. school officials warn layoff notice woulds go out on august 15th, and schools might not open on time. "eyewitness news" will have live update for you on this story from harrisburg later on today. and, septa and representatives from the

transit workers union will attend a hearing today in washington, d.c. last month, an emergency board appointed by president obama recommended an agreement that would settle the contract dispute between septa and the two unions. during that hearing, they'll be asked to explain why the parties have not yet reached a settlement. regional rail workers walk off the job for one day in june, and are still working with a contract. >> seats fire is underway in the middle east. >> israel says it has destroyed most of the millitant tunnels found beneath the border. meantime the state department says it is appalled by israel shelling of united nations school. it was sheltering some 3,000 displaced people in gaza. ten people killed. a specially prepped plane flying another american medical missionary with the ebola virus. doctor will joint her co-worker.

outside. very light wind. those are the two big sort of factors that you need the ingredients to make that fog. we have that going for us out there this morning, eventually some sunshine, will help heat things up for us out there. still at least a chance for isolated shower or storm, most of you are probably dry, but something i have to throw in a mention for. i don't want to get caught off guard. do you not need the umbrella region wide zoom, we kick it off, there is still activity out there to track, mainly off shore at this point. but we are still sitting in a little bit of unstable air mass, at this point. so, because of that, you know, again, little up lift all you really need with heating of the day to get the potential for inches tonight create shower or storm. so it will be a likely hood. meanwhile, nice wide zoom. system that's basically responsible for the wet weather we saw over the weekend. here's bertha still churning away, out over at least just east of the bahama islands right now, expected that this storm will not be an east coast threat. but there will be sort of the

indirect impact that we get here at home. i would say, especially tuesday, wednesday, with it making its closest pass through our area, rip currents become little more after concern, by this point, however, actually tracking a cold front. our next one, to cross through, so there will be some showers, some storms, but not balls of bert, a but because every cold front coming through that will help keep bertha out to sea, good news, we'll take the option. watch for fog this morning, eventually some sunshine maybe some of you picking up on shotty shower or storm. we drop down to 68, next few zero few days, cake -- talking about sunshine, also tomorrow, more of you getting the sun than anything, but chance for shower or storm. wednesday looks like bit more widespread, cold front crossing through, ukee, back over to you. >> thanks, katie, in sports, phillies wrap up series with the nationals struggling to score runs against nats ace steven strasburg. cole hamels pushed for the phils. he struck out six, left with score one-nothing nationals.

good shape, we kick it off on a monday after the weekends, live look at the schuylkill expressway, h at us here, out of the valley forge toll plaza, camera, resets there, and 202, headed in toward the city. but no problems or delays at all. roads are dry, downtown we go, live look at the vine st. expressway, again, coming in and out of the city, light volume so far at the moment. to chester county, accident along route 52 at hickory hill road, all south of route one there just outside of kennett square. good news, the girard avenue bridge, that takes you over aramingo avenue, and connects to richmond street, will reopen today. that is after that long-term construction project. that's that will give everybody access from the neighborhood here to that newly paved stretch of richmond street. so that will reopen sometime today. according to penndot. but, new project begins. they'll milan pair the whole stretch, about 15-mile stretch, county line road it, will begin today, from 611 over to york road. so expect that bumpy ride to
