"eyewitness news" reporter steve patterson joins us from upper dublin township with the details, steve? >> good morning, guys, eight units affected, couple of dozen people displaced, one person injured, non-life threaten injuries, but by all accounts by everyone we've spoke tone here, this could have been hot lot worse. >> this fire spread quickly, thanks to the fire department they got on scene very quickly, ended fast as well. i want to start off, take to you video right away, this is eyewitness video from our viewer philip felix, we can see the flames, in this one, burning, first thing i want to get to is anybody hurt in this? yes, one person hurt as we mentioned was injured, taken to the hospital this morning. but i'm told, again, non-life threatening injuries. firefighters get the call

shortly before 2:00 this morning, this was the apartment complex here in upper dublin township, woods apartment complex, started in a unit on second floor, just kept going from there. started burning extremely fast, going unit by unit. but really contained to that one unit on that second floor. two alarms rang out, big push from the flames and the fire department as it got underway, got it under control in 30 minutes to an hour. not without some harrowing moments, firefighters had to rescue a man from that second floor apartment, where the fire actually started, where those flames came from, they managed to get up there, we spoke to an eyewitness, who was there as that moment was happening, heard the screaming from that unit. listen to this. >> all the sudden we heard get me out of here, oh, my god, i was so impressed how fast those guys worked i've never felt more safer in my life.

>> reporter: again, the response of the fire units that got on scene that saved this building and many of the people in it. again, about 20, 25 people displaced from the eight units, i'm, to red cross just arriving on scene here, and getting those folks some help. we spoke to a daughter and a father, who were in the unit next to the one that started the fire. we'll have that coming up in later editions this morning, do you have hear their story. the latest from upper dublin township, steve patterson, cbs-3. little technical problem there, steve, thank you. new this morning, crash remains under investigation in washington township gloucester county. authorities say two cars collided along the 200 block of delsea drive around midnight. it is unclear if anyone was hurt. police are still on the scene at this hour. coming up on 5:03, we want to get out to katie on the skydeck. another nice day, katy? >> two for two out there today. high pressure once again keeps the lead. so comfortable outside. another day will feature very

strip hit a deadlock. well, developing right now, president obama is using america's military might to drop aid to prevent a possible genocide. he's also authorized air strikes on the islamic group isis, if necessary. the millitant group has tightened its grip on northern iraq. it also trapped some 40,000 members of an ethic group on mountain. us has dropped food and water there, and now if isis fighters advance on the mountain, the president has given the us military the green light to strike. when we face a situation like we do on that with innocent people facing prospect of violence on horrific scale, when we have a mandate to help in this case a request from the iraqi government, and when we have the unique capabilities to help after area massacre, then i believe the united states of america cannot turn a blind eye. >> the white house says they consulted with congress before authorizing the air strikes and continto do so as it
