right now the week send looking good. so we'll have all of the details for you coming up. >> i like the way you say looking good. good morning, everybody, not looking good if you're out the door and headed toward 476, live look, accident involving two tractor-trailers, northbound, 476, between the schuylkill expressway, and the mid-county tolls. i'll have the rest of the details, certainly a jam already this morning, and we'll check in with mass transit coming up next. ukee, erika, good morning. >> in the news two, alarm fire in montgomery county apartment building leads to two daring rescues. >> one person is now in the hospital, though. "eyewitness news" reporter steve patterson joins just upper dublin township with the latest on that fire. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, erika, ukee, a lot of people displaced right now, residents being helped by the red cross, of course that's a terrible situation, but those same people are happy to be alive and well this morning. >> this was very labor-intensive, fast-moving fire, but people hearsay that the firefighters, and the rescuers on scene, were even

faster. i want to take to you video right away. eyewitness viewer video from philip felix, firefighters got on scene here, this is the woods apartment complex, flo unn flames, a man from that unit rescued from that apartment, the only person injured in this fire, who is expected to be okay, but, there were about 20 to 25 residents from eight different units currently displace this fire being hemmed. of course by the red cross. now, we spoke positive to two of those people, father and his teenage daughter, who say they were rescued, just in t rescuers. i want you to hear what they had to say. listen to this. >> i mean, blessing we're alive, blessing that the police responded fast enough to get us out because mean i didn't smell the smoke. if nobody got here, nobody called anybody, i would have burned to death. >> not a lot more to say than i'm just real thankful that we

got out alive. >> reporter: they sa the rescuers helped them get out alive, that's their job, but also we heard that multiple reports of fire alarms inside both their unit and in the hallways not working. we're work to go learn more about that situation here. obviously they had no prior warning before police and firefighters got on scene and were able to rescue them. harrowing rescues this morning, again, one person injured, with minor injuries, taken to the hospital. but that's it from upper dublin, steve patterson, cbs-3, "eyewitness news", back to you. >> could have been so much worse. steve, thank you. 5:33, the latest on our forecast for today and the weekend. >> and generally, erika, looks like it will be pretty nice out there. expecting clear skies out there today. yet again. so two for two at this point with high pressure, really just taking the lead, keeping control. it looks lick it will do its best to win out the battle for the right basically to dictate our forecast this weekend. which bodes well if you're hoping for dry weather.

we start things off with a look at the ben franklin bridge, facing west here, from our campbell's fold camera, across the river, and just a real nice and comfortable start to the morning here. light winds, quiet as can be, all courtesy of high pressure, we take you next to storm scan3, which as you might imagine doesn't have heck of a lot to show here. when we do zoom it out, you will be able to see few more clouds, all confined to the south and west. so we do as a result have very easy time cooling down this morning. in fact, look at the 24 hour difference in the thermometer readings now mount pocono the oddball out here, because if you recall, yesterday you were flirting with the 40's. so, it was actually quite cool up that way. but regardless, this is cooler in general, than t'was the night before for everybody else. i mean, even millville, almost 10 degrees cooler, so very noticeable by comparison to what previous mornings have ushered in. meanwhile, currently at 59 degrees, a very calm winds currently at the airport, no problems, i don't think, for any of those departing flights here, just because of the

weather, weather-related issues, this will be beautiful dayment check it out, full sunshineice long weekends, philadelphia checks in at 58 degrees, like i said it, does look right now like our forecast will hold for the weekends. bringing in some sunshine, for the better part of saturday and sunday. bob, over to you. >> sound good. 5:35, good morning, everyone, get ready for the weekends, but early morning double tractor-trailer accident, starting us off here. going outside, live look at the blue route. this is 476, northbound at conshohocken, so between schuylkill and mid-county, all of the police and emergency vehicles here tying up the left side of the roadwaye traff. expect delays from the schuylkill expressway heading up north toward the mid-county tolls. and heads up, for the patco riders, a new schedule begins this morning

accident caught here on surveillance video. patterson's dog was also killed in that accident. the search is on for the gunman who shot and killed a teen in north philadelphia. the 19 year old plan was shot several times, just before 9:00 last night at tenth and dealt on streets. police rushed the victim to temple, where he was pronounced dead. authorities are searching for a silver or gray older model pick-up truck. well, a mother bear ancobon the loose in two north jersey neighborhoods. now, this bear couldn't appear more calm or peaceful as it feeds on bird seed in the backyard of this home in union county. mountainside police say they've been tracking the cub and his mother since wednesday. they appeared again in southwest field. >> made us go into the police department because the bear was cited at the pool. >> when were you in the pool, and then you heard about the bear, thousand dollars stay there. because the bear was actually in the tree at the basketball courts. we had to go in the hall and wait for our parents to come

pretty much the worse impact to the big island, but didn't actually hit the islandment just one of those things, you get so much dry air in the central pacific that a loft times it shelters hawaii. and it is very rare for a storm like iselle, which has been coming in from the east, to have this kind after impact. i would call this a historic event, because typically you find any kind of impact from these kind of storms in hawaii from storms that come from the south. so, this is definitely a rare one. meanwhile bring it back here at home. i know you have the weekend and what's going on here. it looks good. mid 80s expected today, tomorrow, sunday, right now does look like all three days should stay rain free, maybe few more clouds building in, system to the south looks like it stays to the south, high pressure wins the battle. then monday starts to steam up little bit. by tuesday we have better shot for showers and storms. sorry, bob, at least the weekends looks good. >> 5:46. good morning, live look at accident involving at least one tractor-trailer, that is still on the scene here, this

is the northbound lanes of 476 the blue route right at conshohocken. so, between the schuylkill expressway, and the mid-county tolls, we're slowing down to a crawl, and only that far right lane is open. you see the crews here, they put down that oil dry, to some up the gasoline, and obviously spilled on the roadway, so this causing early morning delay for anyone headed north. a loft tractor-trailers out this morning, headed north up towards mid-county. ninety-five, not bad at all, live look right here, girard avenue, headed in toward center city. again, through the construction zone. you only have the three lanes in both directions. and a heads up for the patco riders, take your schedule and throw it out the window, because we got new one for this morning. trains are running, every 30 minutes today all the way through early monday morning. so we got two big rush hours today, this morning, and this afternoon, to deal with that new construction schedule. ukee, erika, back to you. >> thanks so much. i left my props in the car.

hearing from people who escaped the flames overnight. also, quick action by firefighters prevented it two alarm fire from becoming a tragedy. >> hello, steve patterson joins us from upper dublin township to tell you more. steve? >> reporter: good morning, ukee, erika, we just got updated numbers from the red cross, we're told now five families, ten people, assisted after this fast moving fire rips through the apartment complex behind mement all of them as you mention very thankful to be alive this morning, because of the quick actions of the fire department that got on scene here very fast. so i want to show you video now of the flames, that once reached 20 feet in the air. this is from eyewitness viewer, philip felix, about 2:00 a.m. this morning, firefighters got on scene here to the woods apartment complex, the second floor unit, of one of these

buildings, engulfed in flames. man from that unit was in the balcony of that apartment. the only person to be injured in this fire, non-life threatening injuries, was rescued by firefighters after some screaming. but, there are about, again, about ten different people from five families, eight different units a neglected in the fire being assisted by the red cross.
