got up there. >> her body was discovered tuesday morning. police say murray called police, three hours after the attack, to report his wife missing, but he never called her family or friends. >> there was a lot of aspects every his story that just didn't add up. >> hundreds showed up to connie's viewing last night, praying for the family, especially, the victim's two teenage daughters. >> i just can't believe that these children now have to go not just without their mother, she was so close to them, but know their dad did this to the mother. >> my heart goes out for the kids, rest in peace, connie. >> and connie mcclane murray will be laid to rest later this morning. live at police headquarters, syma chowdhry, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". syma, thank you. new this morning, fire damages three row homes in philadelphia's strawberry mansion neighborhood. now, it started just after 2:00 a.m. on the 2700 block of north 24th street. one person suffered minor injuries. the red cross is helping two people displaced by that fire.

so no word right now on a cause. two people are in the hospital following a serious crash on the boulevard this morning. "eyewitness news" on the scene in hunting park near wyoming avenue. police say around 2:00 a.m. two cars collided causing one of the cars to roll over. both victims are in stable condition. now, police are also investigating an attempted armed robbery and shooting in northeast philly. investigators search for clues on the 1700 block of gill forward street. now, police say two men tried to rob a victim of cash and cell phone, but one of the victims accidentally shot himself while trying to run away. police continue to search for second suspect this morning. just about 6:03, let's get your traffic and weather together. here's kate. >> i good morning, everybody, happy monday to you. skies are nice and clear for us out there this morning. and there is still a chance if you want to head out to the window and check out the view from the moon, even though the sun now rising over the horizon, we are still able to see that moon, and it is very, very bright outside. as a result of that. let's start things off by talking about what the impacts

pre dom bridge black suburb saturday afternoonment st. louis county mischief john bellmawr said it all began when the officer encountered two people, one of whom was brown. he says somehow a struggle began when one of the men pushed the officer as he was trying to get out of his squad car. >> after that, the officer went back, came back out of the car, he exited his vehicle, and there was a shooting that occurred for the officer, in fact, shot the subject. >> crenshaw lives in the neighborhood, and said the officer shot brown multiple times even after he put his arms up. >> he shot him in the face and in the chest and he fell down. they shot him multiple times. >> st. louis county police department is handling the investigation. attorneys with the justice department civil rights division have been instructed to monitor developments. marlie hall, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". australia will join the humanitarian relief efforts to thousands of kurds trapped on

morning, the nascar racing community is mourning one of its own this morning after deadly crash at new york racetrack. now, another veteran race is her at the center of a police investigation. cbs news correspondent a jericka duncan takes you closer to what happened. >> nascar fans stood alongside the competitors as national anthem played in up-state new york. three time champion tony store art was supposed to compete, but withdrew, hours after being involved in a terrible tragedy. >> this is tough emotional time. with that, won't take part in today's race. >> motor supports park saturday night, he caused a fellow driver, 20 year old kevin wards, to spin out. ward got out of his crashed car, on to the dirt track to confront stewart. he was struck by stewart's car and killed. authorities are now examining fan video of the crash, and have not ruled out criminal charges. >> as we speak at this time,

"eyewitness news" reporter syma chowdhry at police headquarters right now with more. syma? >> reporter: that's right. police say the man who confessed to killing connie mcclane murray has been a person of interest since the investigation began. police say connie mcclane murray's killer was her own husband, christopher murray, police brought him in for questioning saturday night. now, after failing a lie detector test, he confess today strangling his wife. police say the couple was arguing monday night after connie went for a jog in pennypack park. her body was discovered tuesday morning. murray called police three hours after the attack to report her missing, but never

we now know missionaries returning to the united states after working with patients infected with ebola will be quarantined. those missionaries are what the same north carolina aid group as nancy, she is at emory youth loft in atlanta after contracting ebola in liberian north carolina department of health and human services says the quarantine will last at these three weeks. right now none have shown any signs or symptoms. man at the center of ebola scare at new york hospital last week is breaking his silence. eric silverman tested negative for the virus. now in a exclusive interview, he told our matt, the experience of being quarantined was surreal. >> still feeling little weak, still got some stomach issues. >> reporter: twenty-seven year old eric silverman is feeling well enough again to walk his dog near his brooklyn home. it is a far cry from the 72 hours he spent in isolation at mount sinai hospital where he was quarantined with

ebola-like symptoms. >> like two security guards outside my room. and they were like no, no one in or out. >> reporter: silverman had just returned from humanitarian aid trip, one of the african countries hit hard by the deadly virus, when he started feeling sick, headaches, stomach cramps, a, and 104 agree fever. his doctors thought it could be ebola, and urged him to get to mt. sinai where staff was waiting. >> there was one nurse, one doctor, and they had to be fully dressed in the space suits. >> it was about seven minutes from the time they hit the door to when they were in eye lakes. >> they said take all our clothes off, and your pockets. >> doctors bagged his clothes, burned his underwear. at one point watching the news in his room -- >> reporter: doctors in mount sinai hospital not taking any chances. >> reporter: he asked the nurse if he was the patient the country was talking about. >> i was like is that me? and she is like ya, i'm pretty sure. >> reporter: his family

study of sharks. >> it is shark week, at the adventure aquarium. giving visitors a chance to learn more about these complex creatures. we got to get a bigger desk. mickey is the curator of fishing, and joins us now live from there this morning, hey, young lady, how are you? good morning to you. >> good morning, ukee, erika, how are you? >> doing great. so, what do you think it is about sharks that continues to fast nature the public? >> i think everyone is fascinated we things that they don't know a lot about. and things that casino of scare them a little bit. things that are little frightening. we all casino of have that fascination with the oceans, and, you know, so much to learn about sharks still. and i also think, you know, we're hearing a lot more about sharks, because everyone south thereon social media, everyone has a phone, everyone's reporting what's going on, so i think a lot of it is that we're just, you know, hearing more about the sharks.

>> speaking of that, nicky it, seems like we've been seeing sharks more often, been seeing shark sitings recently. anything? what would you a tribute that? also, any more great white shark sitings recently? >> what i a tribute more the site togs is social media like you said, but actually a few years ago under the marine mammal protection act seals became protected so the seal population has rebounded over this past few years, and this is the main food source for the great white sharks up and down the eastern seaboard. so with increased seal population, you are definitely going to have an increased shark population, because the seals, i mean, the sharks will follow the pray into where they're at. >> makes sense. >> nicky for the viewers that don't know too much about at car yum, please describe where you are right now, you have the sharks swimming all around you, above you, that's very cool exhibit. >> yes, right here in our shark exhibit at adventure aquarium. adventure aquarium houses 15

different species of sharks. we also have over 30 individual sharks in this exhibit. that is 40-foot long tunnel. you can see the sharks above you, on all sides of you, it is very cool. we can -- you can also touch sharks here at the aquarium. actually have shark week every day of the year here. so i know it is shark week on discovery channel but every day here we celebrate sharks. >> and you are celebrating sharks we know biologists are studying sharks, too, any new information about sharks, maybe about how intelligent they are? >> sharks have been around for millions and millions of years. they definitely are adaptable, can live in all different areas of the ocean, all different environments, you can find sharks that liver on the bottom floor, sharks that live way out in open ocean, sharks that casino of come near the coastline, so sharks are very adaptable animals. >> before we go, we want to touch on. >> this i understand you are the only aquarium that has a
