breaking news, a shooting outside a concert to promote peace turns deadly this morning and police are hunting for a teenage suspect. good morning, that burst of gunfire kick off the the beginning of the very violent night in the city. >> "eyewitness news" reporter syma chowdhry joins us now at the police headquarters with the breaking detaste syma good morning. >> reporter: good morning. violence erupts out of all places outside a peace concert leaving one man, dead. that concert was meant to send saying to stop the the shootings. now hours later other shootings took place throughout the city leaving three people injured. it was a violent night in the city, first shooting happened at an anti violence event in fairmount park. there was a peace concert held

at dell music center when shots were fired. man in his 20's was hit in the torso and thigh. he was taken to temple university hospital where he was pronounced dead the event was called philly support philly peace on the street. >> there was about 600 people in attendance at the concert. the concert ironically was a peace co 11:30, one was police are hoping surveillance cameras will help them catch the hooter. >> we are only getting a description of the shooter as being one male wearing a dark hooded sweat shirt and jeans, who possibly fled southbound on tenth street. >> reporter: earlier a man was shot nine times in his apartment, and that happened around 12:30 on the 4500 block of boost veer. ten shots were fired in the apartment, at the time, there were three other adults and one toddler. twenty-eight year-old victim was hit multiple times in the torso, chest and both legs. he was taken to einstein hospital in critical but stable condition. w they say drugs were found in the apartment.

promoting peace in the streets have of philadelphia, turns deadly, now police say a teenage suspect pulled the trigger. three other people were also shot overnight in incidents all across the city. "eyewitness news" reporter same chowdhry joins us now at philadelphia a police headquarters with more on the investigations into those shootings, same, good morning. >> reporter: good morning. shooting right outside a peace concert leaves one man dead and hours later a couple other shootings, three others are injured. in the first shooting that happened right outside of an anti violence event in fairmount park. there were about 600 people attending a peace concert held at the dell music center when shots were fired around 8:30 last night. police say a man in his 20's was hit in the torso and saw it at close proximity. he was taken to temple hospital where he was pronounced dead. ironically concert was meant to send a message to stop the the the shootings. >> it was anti violence, concert, that was taking place, when this shooting,

took place like i said there were 600 people present at the concert. concert ended about 40 minutes, after the the shooting took place. we're not certain if the 20 year-old victim was going to or coming from the concert. >> later in the night two, 18 year-old were injured during a shooting at tenth and bainbridge around 11:30. within was hit three times in the leg, other hit once in the heel. both were taken to jefferson hospital and remain in stable condition. police are hoping surveillance cameras at a nearby business will help them catch a shooter. earlier this morning a man w of buy veer. twenty-eight year-old victim was hit multiple times in the torso chest and both legs. he was taken to einstein hospital in critical but stable condition. there were three other adultsrs were injured, so far, no arrests have been made. we are live at police headquarters syma chowdhry for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". neighbors in the montgomery county community are locking their doors and checking dead bolts after a string of burglaries.
