well to day it is wednesday august 20th, 2014, good morning i'm natasha brush in for ukee washington. i'm quarter von tiehl. here are stories we are following today developing right now another night of unrest in ferguson missouri as attorney general eric holier heads to the area today. protests are happening as well in our area cleve bryan has an update ahead. tonight is the big night sports illustrated cover girl mone davis and taney dragons take field at little will league world series, three wins from being world champions. >> love that cover. >> good samaritan saved life after a car plunges into cobbs creek, that story and much more ahead. but first lets check our forecast. >> little warmer i thought this morning going out.

>> a little warmer. i thought enjoy it now until winter, katie. >> until winter comes, i cannot think about that. >> we have a big game coming up tonight, unbelievable. but we are starting to feel a little bit more like summer. yesterday was a nice warm day. we are however still watching this latest disturbance making its progression towards us. the as early as late today threat for wet weather makes a return to the forecast. we will time things out, can you get in those outdoor plans or not? i will have the answer in the next couple minutes. >> kate, thank you. tonight is night, a story developing throughout the night protesters taking through the streets of ferguson missouri calling for justice in the shooting death of michael brown. >> attorney general eric holder is traveling there today for an update on the investigation. "eyewitness news" reporter cleve bryan is live from the cbs-3 sat center with more on the latest developments from overnight, cleve. >> reporter: officialness missouri say police had to

dodge flying bottles. they received death threat but despite dozens of arrest they are seeing signs of progress, towards peace. officials say that most of the peaceful protesters followed direction go to go home but around midnight violence return. police sees $3 loaded handguns and made 47 arrests by 1:00 a.m. agitators hid behind media hurling bottles. some filled them with urine but there is good news. no molotov cocktails and no tear gas. police believe that legitimate protesters are starting to separate themselves from those set on violence. >> i believe there was a turning point made and that turning point was made by the clergy, the activist, the volunteers and the men and woman of law enforcement who partnered together to make a difference. >> reporter: here in philadelphia dozens marched down market street to express their anger over the killing of michael brown. they called the event a show of solidarity and call for

justice. >> i hope that this makes a difference and brings a change because police getting a way with murder and it makes no sense. >> reporter: another protest is planned to happen at love park. meanwhile attorney general eric holder is expected to be in ferguson to meet the with fbi and other investigators who are looking in the death of michael brown. the reporting live from the sat center, i'm cleve bryan, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". 4:33. let's get back to katie and definitely a warmer start on the day. >> we have a few additional degrees since this same time yesterday morning and even yesterday morning was warmer then what we would typically find. we will end up with a pretty decent day, overall, out there. we will start off with a quiet view at this point, over from campbell's field over ben franklin bridge. all calm and quiet. we have a few more clouds out there but a lot of times when we have a thick cover we have a reflection cast from the city lights. we are not able to see that. it still looks quite dark outside.

that is indicate ago this we have a few breaks in the cloud cover but with that said, we're not completely in the clear here today. you can see on storm scan three things are quiet. we have to zoom it out here western portion of the keystone state, here you go. now this is what it will eventually have to cross williamsport. there is at least a chance that the kids, for little league world series will even up with wet weather. i don't think it would be enough to suspend the game entirely but there is a possibility we will have wet wet tore dodge and there could be thunderstorms in which case you will have to hold off until that passed through. dew points back here at home, kind of running the the gamut, right on the border where it feels humid. wilmington 67. feels muggy outside. right on the edge in philadelphia. it isn't terrible. but it is not the most crisp morning we have ever had obviously. seventy-three current temperature. nice and mile at the airport. calm wind across the board. you might see a couple of patches of fog especially south of philadelphia here this morning.

that said, as i said overall decent day. would i say by second half of the day that towards the evening we may start to see that wet weather a arriving to the western suburbs. watch for a shower out that way toward night fall otherwise today looks like a decent day, bob, good morning. >> good morning. halfway to the weekend. we are looking live at i-95 where crews are still working in a couple spots, this is a live look right here near bartram avenue. heading south on i-95 from center city down towards the airport as soon as you come over that girard point double decker you are push to the left side of the roadway. the other construction delay is right here on the northbound side of i-95. everybody is getting in the single lane pattern here, airport would be in the background and off tour right here. so north and south i-95 heading towards the airport, hot construction zones if you are ready to step out the front doors right now. thirty-fourth and grays ferry avenue we have to hit reset button there. this is going to be a busy intersection if they cannot

get that reset for morning rush hour. crew where is back on the boulevard last night, continuing that milling and paving operation. they are still working northbound between rising sun and bustleton and even though they may pull away for beginning of the rush, they will leave behind that uneven pavement which shows a manhole covers remain raised and that can knock your front end out of the whack. erika, back over to you. well, it is finally here, philadelphia taney dragons take on vegas just two wins away from the little league world series championship game. >> vegas does look to be the real deal so it will be a real challenge for the dragons and no doubt focus will be on their star pitcher mone davis. look at that incredible. she's making history as first little leaguer on the cover of the sports illustrated. the 13 year-old pitching ace has a mean fast ball, nasty curve ball and amazing amount of confidence. cbs-3's pat ciarrocchi sat down with mone's mom who tells us her daughter isn't just a

star at baseball but she dominates basketball and soccer as well. now with this new national attention everybody knows about her unbelievable talents. >> i'm saying word cannot explain. i'm not scared. i'm more nervous for her. i believe so because like i said, philadelphia knew about mone but whole world know about mone now. i just want her to be a normal child. >> mone says that she wants to play basketball at the university of connecticut and guess what, that is new caught at tension of legendary coach geno, who called mone to wish her well. the dragons will take the field against las vegas tonight at 7:30. makes a great catch. that is a hall of fame catch right there. by the way, illinois won the game, six-one they will play loser of tonightes game in philly verse vegas game. happening today a man accused of ordering elementary students off his bus will have his preliminary hearing. the five five-year old of sharon hill is accused of throwing children as young as five years old off of his bus blocks away from their stops. the substitute bus driver in the william penn school district is facing multiple counts of reckless endangerment and endangering welfare of children. a bail hearing also today for one the of the suspects in the casino heist at caesars in atlantic city. aaron evans is one of the eight people arrested for the gun point robbery. isaiah plumber and aaron evans entered side door of the casino july 31st and stole $180,000. plumber was a caesars employee until being fired weeks before

the heist. islamic terrorist group isis says it beheaded american journalist james foley. he was kidnaped in 2012 while covering the civil war in syria. isis says it is retribution for u.s. air strikes in iraq. also on that type time magazine's steve satoff who was kidnaped last year. the isis says he too will be killed if the u.s. does not leave iraq. good samaritan rescues a woman from her submerged car in the cobbs creek area. the would the man may have suffered a medical emergency as she was driving on cobbs creek parkway near green way avenue yesterday afternoon. her suv flipped down an embankment trapping her inside with only a rock and a box cutter on hand. the man on his lunch break sprang into action. >> we broke the window, tried to get the her out. her seat belt was on. we got her out of the car. i did the best i could and i started thinking, i started to

kidding. >> oh, stop. >> i's the yellow. >> yes, elmo is red. >> hoist blue. >> cookie monster. >> that is me. lets take it outside, guys and completely switch gears. we are watching for wet wet tore make tonight our area. that is pretty obvious on the map, right. the the next approaching disturbance. right now it is bringing in heavy rain across buck eye state and even now into western pennsylvania we have a solid batch of rain moving into northwestern pennsylvania, specifically. this will eventually move through williamsport where kid will be playing into this evening. i do think you can have a shower and storms to dodge in williamsport. the lets see how things shake out. it will be scattered in nature. it should not be a wash out but there is a possibility they will see wet weather. here at home, we are looking at partly sunny day, and then toward evening, some of that rain will very likely effect

us, specifically the western suburbs has best shot for showers today and tonight i should say and tomorrow anybody is fair shower for a shower or storm anytime. friday this same disturbance is still hanging out some what slow to retreat and that does mean cloud will be with us and dodging some showers and quick pocket of heavy rain. one model picking up on early friday morning. meanwhile lets break it down for you. it is nice, warm, feeling like august with the high of 86 under some sunshine. watch for that shower here tonight. not a wash out. this will be first sign of that next approaching disturbance that disturbance will have a big impact both tomorrow and then on friday. cloudy, damp on friday but we should see showers thin out with time throughout the day friday. saturday means it the bodes well. you will have some clouds left over both weekend days are looking nice at this point. natasha, back to you. now checking sports phillies wrap up their three game series with the seattle mariners this afternoon.

cole hamels is on the mound when it starts at 1:00 o'clock promptly. last night top of the sixth mariners add to their two to nothing lead, kyle, homers to right off phillies pitcher aj burnett. only thing phillies got out of this game was a ryan howard bobble head, mariners add a few more runs and win this 15-two. eagles hope to get their first preseason win tomorrow night when they take on the pittsburgh steelers at the link. last seasons nfl rushing leader lesean mccoy has been dealing with some pain in the left big toe. x-rays are negative. when reporters did ask about shady's co, chip kelly gave this answer. >> i don't think he will ever play again. no, he is fine. he practiced full yesterday. he is fine. it is not a big as an issue as everybody has made it out to be. >> here's sports director beasley reason our sister station 94 wip, filling in for

here's one more look at the morning's headlines, taney dragons making their game at last vegas tonight at 7:30 in williamsport . there is another pep rally and viewing party at city hall. another night of protest in ferguson, missouri following fatal police shooting of an 18 year-old boy, it was calm after midnight, officers chased down several people and others threw bottles at police. a driver rescued from her car after it plunged in the philadelphia's cobbs creek is in guarded condition.

police say a good samaritan pulled her out of her suv, flipped down an embankment on the cobbs creek parkway. 4:50. time for business news. >> wendy gilette joins is now from the new york stock exchange and we are hearing a food recall to talk about, i'm sure people want to hear about this before they eat breakfast, good morning. >> reporter: yes, definitely. voluntary recall is for nut butt their could be contaminated with salmonella. there are reports of four people that have been sick. the products were sold under the brand name aero head mills and almond brothers and butters and peanut butters also on the recall list, some lots of label almond butter from whole foods, trader joe's, kroeger and safeway. >> okay, that is good to know. a big settlement announcement there in new york, what is that all about. >> reporter: yes, macy's will pay 650 you this dollars to settle allegations of racial
