>> developing right now, two women are found shot dead inside a northeast philadelphia home and tonight the search for answers is underway. good evening, i'm natasha brown. thanks for joining us. this gruesome discovery made and side a home the 4700 block of vista street in holmesburg. "eyewitness news" reporter noel mcclaren spoke to briefing family members. >> go and shoot my sister like that. she was so innocent. >> reporter: violence on vista street leaving two brothers in tears. >> take my sister away like that. it's not cool. >> reporter: police say two faux males in their 50s were shot in the head and killed and side the row home they lived in together shortly before 7:00. according to family, one woman who was receiving treatment from visiting nurse had taken in the other. >> whoever need -- whatever she

needed she helped them. took them in. >> victims brothers tell "eyewitness news" the two women were living together for about two months. somewhere in that time his sister received death threats from man named james. >> she never said why. >> he tells us the gunfire may be related that a rift between two families just two months ago the victims grandson was shot 11 times. but hopes this was the end of it. >> i hope it's over now. whoever did i hope it's over now. grandson now her. >> we did see a few people who were taken in for questioning. but police won't comment on who those people were. we're in northeast philadelphia, noel mcclaren cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> also developing to note, police are looking for the suspect or suspects in this case involved in a deadly shooting in lawn crest. "eyewitness news" in the 4700 block of ramona avenue. police say the victim was struck by a black honda civic. and then an occupant in the car shot him once in the chest and once in the stomach. the car was later found been

donned on fire. also new tonight police in trenton they're looking for this man who they say posed as a police officer and then sexually assaulted a female store clerk. it happened about 1:00 this afternoon in the eight hadn't dread block of south broad street. police say the suspect had a small black radio on him and a handgun. and that he took the clerk into the bathroom and assaulted her. he left the store and flagged down a tan toyota car roll la anyone with information about this case contact police right away. >> now the i-495 bridge is now fully reopened in wilmington. the bridge was off limits in both directions from 12th street to terminal avenue since june. drivers began using the northbound lanes earlier this afternoon. the southbound lanes were reopened last month. work to construction new support columns and realign the bridge was completed about a week ahead of schedule. the bridge was originally closed on june 2nd after a driver noticed four columns tilting.

"eyewitness news" here on the 57 hadn't dread block of mcmahon avenue. the 78 year old mother told police that she shot her son in the stomach after he broke into her bedroom and point add gun at her. she also says he appeared drunk and threatened to strangle her. police say they will charge the son with aggravated assault. >> and now thousands of people marched through the streets of

new york city to protest the death of eric gardner the father of six died after a police officer allegedly put him in a fatal choke hold while placing him under arrest. cbs news correspondent jericka duncan has more. >> reporter: protesters in staten island showed their grief and anger at the we will not good back march. >> we're out here supporting those who have lost their lives at the hands of ignorance. >> this cell phone video ignited outrage in july when a police officer used a choke hold to subdue eric garner. the unarmed 43 year old died an hour later. the new york city medical examiner ruled his death a homicide. garner's wife broke down at protesters marched past a sidewalk where the incident happened. >> i'm hoping that this will, you know, bring justice for my son. that's all we're asking for is justice. >> protesters walk past the da's office which has agreed to

present the garner case to grand jury for consideration avenue criminal charges much police choke holds are banned in new york city. >> people by the thousands are really want to see police refo reform. this is any other anti police. but it is anti police violating the law. >> reporter: nypd had a large presence at the rally of the uniform officers joined boo community police officers dressed in polo shirts and pan pants. authorities didn't want to appear threatening to crowd determined to move forward. jericka duncan for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> two rallies today in ferguson missouri this afternoon st. louis county naacp held a youth march. protesters marched to the site where michael brown was shot by officer darrin wilson two week ago da-da. earlier today supporters of officer wilson rallied in st. louis as well. the shooting of the unarmed 18 year old has touched off clashes with police but overnight it was peaceful in ferguson for the third night in a row.

meantime the lighthouse is reviewing -- white house is reviewing the programs that equipped local police departments with military gear. the examination comes in the aftermath of the police response in ferguson missouri. officials say they will now look at the amount of training provided for using military equipment and how well the government audits the use of the money and the equipment by local police departments. back here at home dozens gathered to pray for piece at love park in philadelphia. the family of alexis, was among those calling for an end to the violence in the city. he was shot a week and a half ago outside the dell music center in strawberry mansion. he died the following day. his sister spoke to the crowd >> they robbed him. i just don't understand. >> police are septembering for this man wanted for questioning in connection with the murder, anyone with information about this case is asked to contact

police right way. >> jury convicts a ben salem teenager in the rapes and sexual assaults of 10 girls. 19 year old joshua benson could be sentenced to more than 80 years in prison. prosecutors say benson sexually assaulted girls ages 14 to 17 between 2011 and 2013. the defense argued the sex acts were consensual but the jury disagreed. >> and the search is now underway for a very bold shoplifter in maple shade. a man was caught on camera stealing 19 packs of red bull energy drinks from the cvs store on route 73. the suspect as you can see there was wearing a red phillies cap. white north face t-shirt and gray khaki shorts. if you recognize this man, please contact police right io iowa. well not all mummers are oh and board with the proposal now to change the mummers parade route in south philadelphia. a rally to keep the mummers strutting up broad street to city hall was held at the

pour out over the gaza skyline and dramatic video as witnesses say israeli air strike collapsed a 12-story apartment tower in central gaza city. the blast sent a huge ball of fire and a black cloud hovering above the air smoke there. the explosion shook neighboring buildings. at left 22 people including a 11 kids were wounded. >> caught on video bystander captures the moment an unmanned space rocket explodes. this happened at the space x facility in mc gregory tuck tech. the rocket blee up after a malfunction was detected during a test. space x says it never went off course and no one was injured. the faa was on sight during this test. >> rapper iggie azalea falls off the stage while performing and all of it was captured on tape. ♪ >> my goodness. security guards were quick to lift him back on at the stage at the avalon in los angeles.

she hospital anded right back up and kept performing. the 24 year old appeared unharmed. she was performing her hit song fancy at an mtv music awards been fit concert. also terrifying day at the fare for a 16 year old girl and her eight year old brother. a car on the ferris wheel tipped and both of them fell about 15 feet to the ground. it happened in chelsea, michigan. investigators say the girl boarded the ride with crutches and that the crutches may have slipped out causing the car to tip. the girl is still in the hospital. the boy has been release releas. we're used to segment parking signs here in philadelphia, right? they are all over the place. people try their very best to obey them and avoid getting a tick, but take a look here at this sign in culver city, california. it stands 15-foot tall, each sign a different rule. the signs sit out an elementary school and were meant to clarify a new drop off and pick up procedure when classes resume. but neighbors, well, they're

conditions humidity levels remain on the low side. temperature wise everybody pretty much in the 60s right now. we'll start to see some 50s through the overnight so a nice start to your sunday morning in the suburbs. many spots in the upper 50s there. winds notice the arrows they are pulling off to the south and west. east to northeast wind flow coming off the cooler atlantic ocean so that's why temperatures will stay below average for the rest of the weekend. here's our wind forecast again not much change tomorrow still northeasterly breeze kicks up especially done at the shore and the delaware beaches 15 to possibly even 25 miles per hour. sole windy there. inn land spots calmer. so high pressure notices on in. temperatures right a round 80 degrees for the inland spots. that's close below adversary much for this time of year. we garagely whatly warm the temperatures up. this high going nowhere. skies sunny for monday and tuesday. i think by went the humidity increases a little bit. you'll start to feel the difference there.

future weather model keeps our sunday morning nice and dry across the delaware valley. a lot of sunshine into the region and into the afternoon. same deal mostly sunny conditions the star of the work week looks good. mostly season knee skies, that will be the trend into tuesday. wednesday, even into thursday. then we'll start to heal,mát ita little bit also the tropics heating up a little bit as you can see this flare up of showers and storms this is newly formed tropical depression number four over the southeastern bahamas right now moving slowly to the northwest at 9 miles per hour. it will kind of hangout here over the next day or two. strengthen into tropical storm then possible follow a category one hurricane over the next few days. and track remains to the north and west. then eventually turning more north and northeasterly away from the us mainland. that's good news. but early next week some of those stronger swells start to impact the southeast coast maybe you're heading down to the outerbanks south carolina for some vacation. just there will be a chance for
