harmilan joins us live now she is in nap a with the very latest. allison, good morning. >> reporter: the sign behind me points the way of the train station, market, even the opera house. this is the heart of downtown nap a. this morning it is devestated. the destruction is clear as residents and businesses clean up downtown nap a. the strongest earthquake to hit the san francisco bay area in quarter after century rippled through the area sunday morning. >> it was just bouncing around, like we were on a roller coaster ride from hell. >> the tremors broke gas lines, ruptured 06 water mains, caused fires that destroyed at least six homes. the earthquake damaged many of nap a's historic buildings city officials have determined at least 33 buildings are now on uninhabitable. including nap a county courthouse, bleigh hear, christina jamison's home. >> i called 911. i said you guys have to come over here. my house may fall over right

days basically the last week, has finally gathered enough strength to turn into a tropical storm and actually achieve a named status. now, as a result, we are going to start to see the surf get churned up here at home. i don't think this will be a storm that directly affect the us coastline certainly will not directly impact us with any kind of landfall. but it does mean that we will see some very dangerous rip current. that ricks today is high. waves only three-5 feet, not too terrible. but the rip current is what is going to really pose the threat today. so despite the bright sunshine and the bright blue sky be very tempted to jump into the waves, make sure you do so safely, because again, it is a great day. if you are just going to stay on dry land it, will stay dry. lots of sun across the board here, just depending on your location, little warmer or little cooler, and again some real nice weather unfolding for us. looks like it will sit tight for couple every days, as well. bob, we send it into you. >> good morning 5:04, on monday, our news van on the

path road. so the first half of the morning, line road through lansdale, would be your best bet. also working north on the extension up near quakertown, and mondays a big day, everyone likes to grab an extra day at the shore and then come right back into the office on a monday, so if you are getting early start coming back to philly you're in good shape. patco kicked in new timetable. schedule includes more trains, and few err and shorter gaps between those trains otherwise mass transit looking good. ukee, back over to you. >> braking news montgomery county to tell but, one person dead following the single car crash in lansdale. it happened just before 1:00 this morning on the 1600 block of broad street. police are investigating how the driver of this car lost control and crashed into a pole. another person inside the car was critically injured. that person was flown to jefferson hospital by way of medical helicopter. >> new this morning, a man's recovering after a hit-and-run in gloucester township. police say a 22 year old man

was hit while walking along sicklerville and jarvis roads around 10:00 last night. the victim was found seriously injured, on the side of the road. he's in critical but stable condition. also, police are following a lead after an early morning stabbing outside after philadelphia bar. "eyewitness news" on the scene at jj's bar at third and gun cannon in olney. investigators say, a man was stabbed in the chest just after midnight. that victim is in stable condition. a community stunned by the tragic loss of two elderly woman in northeast philadelphia. "eyewitness news" reporter syma chowdhry joins us now from police headquarters, with the latest, syma, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, police are trying to figure out who would want to kill two women who were loved by many. and right now they have more questions than answers as family try to piece together and make sense of this senseless act. a neighborhood is in mourning and a killer is on the loose. family friends rush to the

4700 block of vista street saturday only to learn their loved ones were gone. police found 67 year old dolly evans shot once in the head-on the living room couch. fifty-nine year old ruby thomas was found upstairs on a bedroom floor also shot once in the head. both were pronounced dead at the scene. >> my sister, she never bothered a soul. she would come, she would clean your house she would do anything in the world just to get by. >> neighbors say the 67 year old homeowner was everyone's grandmother on the block feeding and helping anyone in need, no questions asked. >> homeless, who ever needed, you know, she helped them. you know, took them in, help them as much as she can the lady living with her she was helping her. >> i really do wish she was upstairs. >> on sunday friends said they had more questions than answers wondering could this pet pitbull have made a difference, and who could have killed the two women. >> i just hope they do fine who did it because grandmom ruby, two innocent women

pediatricians are pushing for a later start to the school day. siting the benefits for teenage students. a new report in the journal pediatrics says starting the day at 8:30 could help with help grades, car accidents even depression. american academy of pediatrics says most middle and high school student don't not get the recommended amount of sleep each night. teens everywhere are cheering. >> yes indeed. >> and happy meals will be going on a diet if one new york city official gets his way. councilman benjamin introduced the healthy happy meals bill. under this proposal, kids meals could not have more than 500 calories and 600 milligrams of sodium. they also must include serving of fruit vegtables, or whole grains. that bill is still waiting for approval. and as long as you get the
