you can see on storm scan three we have that hurricane cristobal it is hundreds of miles away, 700 miles away but swells have been building for past several days and that rip current risk will continue to be high. thinks how they form. we have all that wave action for several days, all that water piled up on the beach, and can't move out as fast as it moves in. that is why rip currents or narrow channels of water do actually form. down the shore tomorrow you can be, like a life guard and look for those rip currents and this is how you can find them. look for a channel of choppy water, discolored in some way, mainly brown, churn up. a break in the wave pattern is a good sign of a rip current. it will be inviting over neck couple days. right new still warm. philadelphia 79. wilmington 79. you can see down the shore in ocean city 81. avalon 81. cape may is 79. shore forecast for next four days calls for beautiful conditions with temperatures mainly in the upper 70's and then by monday a chance of a

6:18 pm
range for dew point. that means between awesome and pleasant. that sound nice. it feels great with the low dew points and that is the case again for tomorrow with high pressure overhead that will stay planted and we will keep it cool, calm, low humidity for our friday. as we head in the weekend it starts to heat up, we will keep heat at bay for saturday, still nice warm day, we will be in the 80's but on sunday we will start get heat and humidity pumping back in from the south and west and reintroduce better chance of showers and thunderstorms in the forecast. none of that tonight. the jets are in town. 76 degrees at kick off at lincoln financial field with the northwest wind at 10 miles an hour. here in the city, clear and cool, you don't need air conditioning tonight. we may have needed it past couple nights. tonight the fan and maybe a crack window will suffice. 61 degrees is your overnight low. for your friday beautiful, sunny low humidity. 81 degrees. light breeze from the north. this is picture perfect for me but people like it hotter. it has been a cool summer.
6:19 pm
labor day weekend. unofficial end of summer, if you like it hotter i've got you coming up. look at the poconos. cool and comfortable here friday and sat day then sunday we are back to 81 in the poconos and watch the city as we look at that eyewitness weather seven day forecast and shore cast. first we will take to you made in america which will be hot, saturday, sunday and into monday, labor day, and that is when we will hit 90 degrees. hot for part two. sunday and monday in the 90's. the there that is back to school and work forecast. heat is good for labor day, and your pool plans and beach plans, but in the the so good sitting in school sitting all day. 91 degrees on tuesday as everyone goes back to work and school and then warm, sunny and beautiful. >> hot when reality sets back in. >> all right kate, thanks. >> sure. >> you just brought me back to my childhood kate, i remember sweat nothing that school uniform for sure. good evening, if you are traveling on the schuylkill expressway we have eastbound delays heading

will come back where there is major news out of the nfl. they gave ray rice two game suspension for domestic abuse, there was an outcry and commissioner is listening to you. take a look at what the commissioner is saying now. i take responsibility for the decision, after insuring that our actions in the future
6:24 pm
probably reflection our values. i didn't get it right simply put. we have to do better and we will, commissioner roger goodell. so now it is the six game suspension, first event, life time ban, if a player does it for a second time. >> back the to the game tonight, big question remains at kicker. we have alex henry taking on codey parky, kicking, and no doubt a very, very important position and they know exactly what is at stake. >> i mean it is just little things, like an insult, it is very simple to fix. it is one of the things you need to put together at right time and two kicks during the game i didn't have it all together at the right time. >> we don't have any clue, we will just take it day by day and i'm sure they will tell us whatever is going on and we will take it, from there. >> here eagles great announcer merrill reese, thanks so much for joining us again. what should we look for in this game.
6:25 pm
>> beasley, it is easy for people to say it is a fourth preseason game you will see guys that are here but we have followed this team, all of us and eagles fans have too and it will be interesting to go see various job battles. for the the extra spot at running back, extra spot at wide receiver, maybe battle for back side of the roster and at linebacker. of course, all of us wants to see what the quarterback, is all about. matt barclay is in his second year. he will have a lot of work. of course, leslie as you pointed out the kicker caravan will in the stop here, that alex henry will be able to come out and be solid or we will see what happens with codey parky who we have not seen kick it in a game. >> my question to you merrill, is this team a better team then they were 12 months ago. >> yes, yes, absolutely they are a bet ever team. they are a better team without additional personnel leslie because the defense is more solid.
6:26 pm
they are sound. they know what they are doing. new guys like nate allen who have been in so many different defenses, now he is talking to the same coordinator and mal conn jenkins is a upgrade. they are a better team. nick foles will probably never have a season statistically like last year but he is a more experienced quarterback who can to more things. >> you heard it from the by him self merrill reese. is there more news after this time out. it gives you options based on your budget -- it's a piece of cake. i was told there would be cake. get a free quote at progressive.com.
