another casino closure, here in ac. >> sign of the times in atlantic city closed the latest casino casualty showboat. staple on the board walk in ac for nearly three decades, but sunday the casino close its doors for good. >> everybody who was in tears today. >> left about 2,000 people without a job, including angela brockerman, who spoke with "eyewitness news" reporter steve patterson. >> give it to god, have to deep praying. >> and over the next two days, about 3,000 more will join them on the unemployment line. revel the city's newest casino, and one zeniths savior, starts to winds down today. the hotel closing at 11:00 a.m., the casino closing tuesday, at 5:00 a.m. >> it is very difficult for the guests, very difficult for the employees, sad time in atlantic sit. >> i after only two years, revel never turned a profit. and after filing for bankruptcy twice, abu err for the $2.4 billion casino was never found.

developing right now, the us military says its launched two more air strikes against islamic state militants in northern iraq. one air attack near mozul damn destroyed armed vehicle. iraqi forces say that liberated the town of em errly, where roughly 15,000 people had been trapped by isis militants since june. us humanitarian aid and air strikes were key to breaking the six week siege. but, law makers in washington are concerned that the limited scope of the us action against the millitant islamic group won't be enough to de fit it. >> and it will require some very strong measures to defeat them, and they must be defeated not contained. >> i think i've learned one thing about this president. and that is he's very cautious. maybe in this instance, too cautious. >> the us started launching air strikes against the extremist group to prevent the insurgents from advancing on the curds i shall regional capitol and to help protect members of religious minority.

new this morning, man shot and killed in philadelphia's kingsessing neighborhood. happened late last night on the 6,000 block of almond streetment man was shot multiple times in the chest, at the moment, there is no word on his identity. investigators are searching for a gunman. well, three students are killed in a crash in the poconos. today, counselors will be at council rock south, to help grieving students and parents. the suv caring six teens overturned saturday in pawpack township wayne county. mat rivers traveled to the high school in holland, bucks county to finds out more about the young victims. the council rock high school south community is grieving after the loss of three of their own. ryan lesher, seamus digne, and cullen keffr, all incoming sophomores were killed after the suv they were riding in overturned in wayne county in the poconos. six people were inside the vehicle, although the extent of the survivors injuries were not immediately known. authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.

"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo joins us outside revel, where business there is winding down. jan, good morning. >> reporter: ukee, erika, good morning, little bit brighter here in atlantic city now 6:30 in the morning, but dark days ahead for thousands of revel employees, who will soon be out after job, the hotel closes at 11:00. the casino will follow up tomorrow, at 5:00 a.m. of course, this comes on the heals of the showboat closing after 27 years. leaving some 2,000 people without work there. now, when all is said and done, at the end of the summer, if all goes as

planned, four casinos in total will close here in atlantic city eliminating about 8,000 jobs. casino experts have said, this is painful, but necessary, to right size and stabilize this market. now, revel opened just little more than two years ago, and there were high hopes that this casino would save atlantic city's crumbling gaming market. but the two and a half billion dollars casino and hotel never turned a profit. after filing for bankruptcy twice, a qualified by err was never found. >> this alone will leave more than 3,000 employees without a job, in all, these closures mean, nearly a thirds of atlantic city entire work force will be unemployed, including those 2,000 who lost their jobs just yesterday, down the boardwalk at showboat. >> very difficult for the guests, it is very difficult for the employees, it is a sad time in atlantic city. >> those very sad time yesterday, as showboat closed. there were a lot of tears, that's expected as well over the next two days here at revel, on the boardwalk in atlantic city. now, he experts expect this

york. >> five people are recovering this morning, after a both explodes troweling everyone overboard, in ocean pines, maryland. flames broke out on the 24-foot boat sunday afternoon, neighbors who live close by, rushed to pull five people from the water and also tried to get control of the fire. we're told the boat is total lost. authorities are still looking into what sparked the blast. and, check this out. some amazing video from washington state. officials say a dust storm caused a major pile up. more than 50 cars were involved, dozens were injured, fortunately, none of them seriously, the highway was closed for more than four hours as crews cleared all of those vehicles. >> severe storms moved through yesterday. >> we actual will did, one or two severe thunderstorms warnings issued around our area, around philadelphia in fact, however, at the moment, don't have too much happening,

the tramp plaza closes later this morning. >> "3 on your side", with scam alert about con quickly spreading. >> it starts with a phonecall offering help with urgent computer product. jim donovan explains the scammers can be very persuasive. >> phone rang at 11:00 p.m. the woman on the other said -- >> something wrong with my computer and then i needed to go to the computer immediately. >> sandra hung up. then half hour later (phone ringing), and a half hour after that (phone ringing) at 1:00 a.m. when sandra was asleep (phone ringing) the woman claimed to be from a window server company. >> she kept insist that someone was attempt to go hack in my computer. >> should always and red flag if a tech support company is contacting you through the phone through an unsolicited phonecall, claiming that there is an issue with your computer. >> against her better judgement, sandra log on to her computer and gave the

caller remote access and things went from bad to worse. the caller disable her perfectly fine computer, and in the end, sandra got hit with $300 in credit card charges, for bogus computer scam. the better business bureau says they've been getting more and more calls about this lately. >> always remember any time you hand over remote access, you are opening yourself up to identity theft, potential financial lost. >> they get at least a dozen inquiries about this scam each motherment sandra got her computer fixed and yesterday the cards company is reversing the charges for the worthless computer scan. if you get a call like there is just hang up. it is always a scam. reporting for three on your side, i'm jim donovan. >> ♪ >> in the words this morning, three celebrity couples tied the knot. >> wahlberg and jenny mccarthy marinade small ceremony outside of chicago. this is the second marriage for both of them.
