by darren ruff and the phillies have recorded their 12th no hitter. >> right now at 6:00 a first for fightins phillies history made on this holiday we will have much more on this true team effort in, just a minute. good evening, i'm jessica dean, chris may has the night off. we will begin this labor day evening with an eye on the sky, meteorologist kate bilo is tracking scattered storms from the cbs-3 sky deck. i heard you mention a few rain drops out there. >> when i stepped out here five minutes ago the sun was shining and we had blue skies in philadelphia now rain is coming down. i don't know if you can see it but i can feel it. not doing good things for the the hair out here on the sky deck. you want to keep these showers and storms in mind if you are going to be out and about on this labor day evening. lets look at storm scan three and show what you we are dealing with right now. you can see a couple scattered showers. they are heavy just a few green dots, you can see one i'm standing in over the city and few more down the shore. they have moved off the coast of cape may county there you can see steadier rain south of

avalon there near wildwoods. a little bit of wet weather, all a across the area tonight, scattered, isolated, brief but still these showers and storms are out there heavier storm is across coastal virginia and maryland you can see right above are in foulke we are seeing heavier rain lightening and thunder. for us not seeing much lightening and thunder but just pockets of showers. lets look up at the great lakes coming through late are tomorrow evening. coming up with the seven day forecast i'll let you know what to expect with that system. as far as future weather a few showers popping upright through the next couple of hours. you can see at 8:00 we can have a shower or thunderstorm over the city once again and that goes until 9:00. and after night fall really ten or 11:00 we will see everything dry out. dry as we start off tomorrow morning with a few clouds and then that next front by night fall another chance for thunderstorms. in the meantime it has been a warm, steamy labor day we are at 88 at the airport. rain cooled air there. eighty-two atlantic city and 84 in millville.

killed late saturday morning. their suburban suv flipped and destroyed in paulpack township 07 miles north of philadelphia six people were in the vehicle, at least one, another student, one with minor injuries. >> there is no words for it. it is just a unspeakable loss and terrible sorrow we feel. >> reporter: superintendent mark kline now tasked with starting school for nearly 2100, minus three. so, he opened it up. >> this is an opportunity for kids to be here, without the the structure of school and schedules and things like that. >> reporter: fifty grief counselors and support staff welcomed students, faculty, anyone back early just to talk. >> one of the reason we're opened is not just for the the kids but for the community to come in, be with us, and start the process. >> reporter: after monies day of healing, school progresses as scheduled. freshman back in class for their initial session starting on tuesday, and then school starts in full, on wednesday. administrators hope with this

soft launch students can transition into some sense of normality as the year progresses. reporting live from northampton township i'm steve paterson for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". a long time family business goes up in flames and tonight investigators are trying to determine what caused this fire at a roxborough dry cleaners. that flame broke out around 5:00 at a award dry cleaners at ridge avenue and shurs lane this business was part of the community for 45 years. there is a lot of damage here but no injuries. now to a first for the phillies, on this labor day a true story of teamwork. four pitchers combined a no hit, the the atlanta braves. "eyewitness sports" director beasley reese joins me. so many people excited about this. >> it was fun to watch. >> this was something they needed as a team. it was a hot, humid day in atlanta and no reason to believe that something special was about to watch. hamels, diekman, giles and papelbon forever linked in the record books.

cole hamels didn't have his best stuff he went six no hit innings, struck out seven, but allowed six run tours get on base. then bull pen came in and kept no hitter going. jake diekman took cares of the braves in the seventh. in the eighth ken giles took the mound and struck out the side. freddie freeman had no chance at that ball. jonathan papelbon finished off the braves in the ninth, getting local product phil gosselin to line out to darren ruf for the final out and celebration begins. the fill business their first combined no hitter, they beat the the braves seven to nothing. it was the the 12th no hitter in phillies history including roy halladay's gem in game one of the 2010 national league division series, but the first combined no hitter. cole hamels talks about the accomplishment coming up in sports. just a great day. >> isn't that fun? on a holiday where people could watch. >> perfect good we will see you in a bit, thanks. today another show of the strength by union members in philadelphia.

most beautiful hotel in atlantic city. >> reporter: revel's biggest fans are quick to point out why it didn't work out. >> too much geared toward young people. they are not ones gambling. we are gambling. >> reporter: at a price tag of $2.5 billion the revel was supposed to be a mega resort where gambling wasn't anything but building in a time the economy was tanking property fell into enormous debt and never able to become profitable after two rounds of bankruptcy they decided to shut down. >> it is sad because you are good money here. >> reporter: she stopped by to turn in her waitress uniform. with the revel closing, show boat yesterday and trump plaza finished in six weeks, she and other laid off employees will to have find a new way to support their families. >> i'm so upset. that is the the best place i have ever work. i don't want to work in another casino. i don't think, i don't know. >> reporter: by 6:00 a.m. casino floor will be closed and revel casino shut down. northern end of boardwalk will look like a ghost town but for how long?

experts say this building is too nice, too new to go to waste. they are just not sure if it will be a casino in the future. in atlantic city, cleve bryan, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". there will be a resource center opened for laid off workers later in the week. this will be opened from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. starting this wednesday and will go until september 10th at the the atlantic city convention center. there there will be more than 100 work stations set up to process claims with the state department of labor and other agencies. community members and local leaders rallied today outside a south philadelphia store. it is a story some in the community claim is a store that they claim is selling realistic looking bee bee guns. this afternoon's protest outside point safe supermarket in point breeze demonstrators demanded the stores stop selling those guns. when our crew entered the store there weren't any on the shelves but protesters say this cell phone video taken this weekend shows kids with the bee bee guns purchased there this weekend. they say children can remove

orange tip and color it black and makes it look like real guns. >> what is going to happen when they sell that gun to one of these young men and they are robbing or acting like they will shoot someone and someone kill them. what will happen. >> nothing. >> nothing. >> philadelphia police officers were on the scene to make sure that rail remains peaceful. neighbors say the stores had the gun for sale yesterday. store's owner decided to decline to talk to us to the protest and has in the returned our call seeking comment. a with man was shot in the leg in the olney section of philadelphia earlier this morning. this happened around 3:30 near fifth street and roosevelt boulevard. the woman was rush to the hospital where her condition was stable tonight. so far her shooter is still on the street. a list celebrities targeted, their private photos, posted on the internet, how did hackers get a hold of explicit images of actresses and how can you protect your information. plus clean up continues on the parkway after made in america festival, when will things be back to normal after 29 day concert?

hackers have targeted several hollywood stars stealing hundreds of nude photos off their phones and posting them on line. among the celebrities victim oscar winner jennifer lawrence and swimsuit model kate up ton. the the thieves stole those photos using a flaw in the iphone future that allowed them to access personal accounts. apple has reportedly patched that security gap but experts say there could be other vulnerability. "eyewitness news" reporter syma chowdhry shows us thousand make sure your information, stays protect. >> reporter: hackers leak hundreds of nude celebrity photos on the web and many are wondering how they accessed the pictures. >> these may be photos put together over a course of months and years. >> reporter: c-net editor dan ackerman says people should never treat their pictures and on line activity as 100 percent private. >> it is impossible to bullet-proof your life where you share so much stuff and cloud services which are great for backing up information and keeping it safe and accessing

cool off, in the fountains. plenty of kids out there this afternoon at head house square beating heat on the very hot, humid labor day. the steamy weather, it appears to be sticking around. kate bilo is here with us now and kate, it really does feel like summer, ironically as we hit labor day. >> as we head september we are back to summer after a very cool august, but you know, it felt nice if you had pool plans or other plans. definitely felt like summer on this labor day. it will feel like summer all week long. not the best news for back to school. lets take a look outside, still have a beach day after 6:00 but rides are still going in atlantic city. people trying to eke out a few more showers of summertime because for many folks tomorrow is back to reality. here is atlantic city. i'll take you on a tour of our other live neighborhood network sites. we will start off at boardwalk plaza and row rebeach where it is 88 degrees. boardwalk still hopping there a few folks on the beach here in margate and a few clouds

right now but still, people out there, enjoying what has been a pretty nice labor day down the shore. nice an warm. we have a few showers here and there. we will continue to dodge those showers. most of the region is quiet but we have a few spots to watch. one or to second in lancaster county. one over city and couple down the shore. i want to zoom in, we will start off zooming in on philadelphia, which is where we have a shower right now. just a light showers, mainly moving to the northern part of the region up around chestnut hill area mt. airy there and another one in the northeast. i had a few rain drops on the sky deck that have moved out. taking you down the shore between beach haven and brigantine we have a shower going on the southern tip of lbi, any barrier island seeing steady rain, at the the moment and further south showers moved off of the cape may county but we have a few more developing in the delaware bay. you are not out of the woods just yet. kind of an active afternoon and here comes our next front moving through state of michigan this evening. that will get here later tomorrow evening or tomorrow
