this one on i-95 at bottom base of the girard point bridge. we will talk about a few others that may affect your morning rush, let's head back to the desk. a new start to the east oak lane neighborhood a vacant building up at provident owned and wadsworth avenue. no one was injured and fire fighters placed the fire under control. that building was a former day care center, but has been unoccupied for two years now. the cause of the fire is still being looked into. other news this morning, a moment of silence today on the first day of school at council rock high school south, over the weekend three classmates were killed in a tragic accident. >> the 15 year-old girl behind the wheel will face charges. "eyewitness news" reporter jane carabao picks up the store friday bucks county, jane, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, erika and ukee. sad day for these kids, the first day of classes will start with a moment of silence in honor of three teenagers,

three sophomores who won't return to class and sadly the start of the new school year coincides with the first of three funerals. considered lights in their community three council rock high school south sophomores were remembered tuesday night as outstanding student athletes with bright futures. >> there was always smiles on their faces and they were great kids to be around. >> reporter: friend, students of all ages, parents, teachers, 2,000 members of this community in all gathered at the high school one day before the official start of the school year. here to mourn deaths of the 15 year-olds ryan lesser and shamus digney and 16 year old cullen keffer. >> all three boys were great kids, smart in school, very athletic. >> reporter: teens died this weekend during a crash in the wayne county. the suv they were riding in overturned and rolled several times. ryan had brought three friends to his parent's house in the poconos. >> just playing with them a week age in the sieve is i can center. just laughing and having a good time talking about

soccer. >> reporter: on saturday police say a 16 year-old, unlicensed girl from west chester new york was behind the wheel. she and a friend had pick up the boys in her father's suburban without permission and drove off to breakfast. on the way back witnesses say they saw the. ur speeding just before the accident. the driver, her friend and another 15 year-old passenger survived but the death of these three teenagers who will now never graduate has left this community, even its leaders in disbelief. >> our kids about to go through something that we don't even know how to manage, three services in three days. >> reporter: district attorney is still considering charges but when charge this 15 year-old driver will be charge as a juvenile. in the meantime all evening activities have been either canceled or rescheduled to accommodate these services, and funerals. we are live, in holland jane carabao for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". and breaking news right now within the past hour u.s.

states near the russian border. tomorrow the president and other leaders will travel to wales for the start of the nato sum is it. we will continue to follow this story all morning long. right now lets get traffic and weather together. here's katie. >> good mornings. first thing you will notice is depending on location, hey it feels a little bit more, you know, crisp outside. depending where you are it may still be muggy. we are still basically in transition mode as i like to call it. storm scan three i think it is understandable why. there has been wet weather we have been tracking out across cape may county, sussex county in delaware. we will zoom it out. at this point we are basically left with some clouds. our cold front has basically done its job, crossed through, it hasn't necessarily knocked the temperatures back all that much but it is going to wipe out the worst of the humidity even though we are starting off steamy, it will get more and more comfortable. throughout the day we still expect upper 80's. even by tomorrow we expect

upper 80's. not a cooler air mass settling in obviously but we do at least get a break from the humidity. by friday we will start to sees a renewed potential for shower or storm as well as a return to the humidity but in the meantime it is not too bad outside. currently in the lower 07's there trenton to ac and back across the the bay in the mid 70's in dover. seventy-five at the airport. cooler by comparison through north and western most suburbs and by comparison to folks in the great lakes where you did, obviously have that cold front crossing through first. the cooler and dryer air has already settled in for great lakes region. as for us we will eventually feel that higher amount of comfort out there. upper 70's expected in the poconos. that would be the brightest and most comfortable spot of them all, we will shoot for eight's in philadelphia still above average here but because it is more comfortable that heat is easier to handle. vittoria, now back into you. >> if you are traveling, out and about right now you will notice, pig i back off

obfuscate i for a second. she said not too bad in regards to weather n regards to traffic we can say the same. looking at i-95 right around, bartram avenue, i-95, in the southbound direction we have construction taking out, the the two left lanes here. not causing too much problem. any plans to head to the airport that should not set you back just yet. traveling on the ben franklin bridge westbound we have a few lanes taken out as a result of construction as well but overall, board looking good. you will notice map indicating speed sensors in the 50's on i-95, schuylkill, 476, pennsylvania turnpike, moving very well. if you are traveling, however 213, it has been reopened between route one and flowers mill road. it was an earlier accident there that had been cleared. again they have reopened. that peco has been called to the scene. we have a fire location at wadsworth avenue near temple road. be mindful of. that we will leave with you this more overnight construction on the roosevelt boulevard northbound at somerdale avenue until 6:00 a.m. mass transit looking good.

erika. new this morning in sign of the us peck or motive after a man is shot twice in south philadelphia. officers found the victim just before 11:00 at fifth and mcclellan streets suffering from gunshot wounds to the abdomen. at last check he was in critical condition. police are also looking for the gun man who grazed a young boy in the head in northeast philadelphia. shots were fired in broad daylight as a nine year-old walked with his mother near intersection of torresdale and knor in tacony. police say victim was leaving the library his family when those shots rang out. eyewitnesses described what they heard. >> while we he were there we heard pop, pop and we came out and seen little kid running across the street. next thing we heard he was shot, he is shot. >> good news is boy was treated and released from the hospital. investigators believe a group of people walking behind the boy may have been the intended target. new jersey governor chris christie flies to mexico today in a trip raising speculation about his presidential

ambition. the governor will spend next three days in mexico to promote trade and economic growth with the garden state. his visit also various a meeting with the country's president, pundits think he could use it to boost his foreign policy credentials if he decides to run for president in 2016. revel casino is officially dark this morning going down as the the biggest flop yet in atlantic city. is rushed to the hospital after a rather unfortunate incident. she got stuck inside of a washing machine. at this point in one is really sure how that girl became trapped inside a malfunctioning machine at laundromat but eyewitnesses say that she spun around several times until someone finally noticed her and set her free. it is unclear where the girls parents were at the time. that little girl is expect to be okay and police say she's very lucky. we know patients can wear thin when flying the friendly skies but sometimes you just got to chill. for third time in a week i u.s. flight is diverted bay of a passenger dispute over reclining seat. latest on monday night when delta flight from new york to west palm beach had to be rerouted to jacksonville. the airline issued a statement saying flight 2370 was diverted, quote due to safety reasons in regard to a passenger issue. >> this woman sitting next to me knitting tries to rekline her seat back month. man behind her started

screaming and swearing and then flight a tenant came over and that exacerbated what was going on and then she demanded that the flight land. >> she said, you know, something to the effect i don't care about the consequences put this plane down right now. >> passenger says once they planted in jacksonville the woman was escorted off the plane by police. people need to chill. >> just got to chill. >> we have traffic and weather together in a moment. but first we are not the only ones struck by strong storms last night. great picture of a lightening strike over washington d.c. those three prongs all at the same time looking like the letter m, just incredible. i'm impressed to capture these because you never necessity where lightening will strike. we have a lot of it here too. >> m for menacing because those storms came through and they meant business last night in quite a few locations. we did have severe then are storm watch boxes at least issued right next door to the

1 percent over the prior year and statewide employment in pennsylvania's private sector increased by 40,000 jobs. all of those opening add up but mostly headlines about jobs only show net numbers. think of it like this if you take number of people hired, subtract number of people were laid off or quit, that equals number of new jobs created. in july, it was 200,000 nationwide. the other number to keep in mind is zero, amount have have of real wage gain many workers have even in the past decade. that tells us workers are moving around trying to get ahead but many are just running in place. learning how to conduct a more effective job searching and developing new skills is important. upcoming reports we will try to help. with your philadelphia job market report, i'm
