4:34 am
this morning, just few high clouds will drift through. tracking the threat for pop up thunderstorms this afternoon, and one thing to take into account, as steamy as we are, see temperatures early this morning, still in the 70s, very warm, steamy 73 at the airport, 73 in atlantic city, when you have this much moisture in the atmosphere, pop up afternoon storms, can become locally heavy specially heavy ran, brief downpour that hits you, can't rule it out even though storms will be widely scattered this afternoon. again, let's look at the handy little bar graph here, showing us, just how warm it has been this week, average high of 82, notice, we've been no where close to that, you do the quick mental meat it, looks like we're averaging out somewhere around 87, 88 degrees her this week, which is a solid five plus degrees above normal. and we're going to stay hot right into saturday, but then, some changes. let's take you around the region this friday. some sun, hot, humid in the city, 88 degrees, can't rule out afternoon shower, some spots don't get anything at all, other spots may get

4:36 am
fine. really all of the bridges are moving well, as well as all of our highways and by ways, all over the map. as we take a look, speed censors in the 50's, 50's on the schuylkill, 50's, 476, 55 on 59 -- 95. if you are traveling 95 through the construction zone, again, another place to use extra caution. >> this set me back on my way to work this morning, northbound roosevelt between ninth and red lion until 6:00 a.m., they are doing paving, which is closing the inner drive of the roosevelt rot boulevard. so when i was trying to make that left onto harbison avenue to jump on 95, they have that blocked with police vehicles because of this construction. so i just took it all the way down to the schuylkill expressway. again you will have to do some maneuvering, be mindful again of the few construction zones, but no major delays for mass transit. torrey, thank you. developing right now, an amber alert has police on alert from florida to pennsylvania. police near tampa are looking for a missing boy after four bodies were found near his home. four year old ismail, who has
4:37 am
autism, may be with this man, adam mats, recently moved to florida from the lehigh valley. he may be driving 1991 blue ford f150 pick up tag number 244jjn. sad update to story we first brought you last night. we just learned overnight a child hit by a car in northeast philadelphia has died. the ten year old boy was riding his bike at loretto and longshore avenues in oxford circle when the car hit him around 8:30 last night. the driver did stop at the scene. recent cutbacks in one bucks county school district is raising furious concerns for some parents. this year schools in bristol township will no longer offer bus service for after-school activities. instead, students staying late will have to find their own way home. and that could lead to some tough decisions for their parents in the new school year. >> my daughter in the band. she needed a ride with the buses to get back and forth.
4:38 am
so she won't be able to be in the band. >> you are putting people at danger. you are being children possibly hit by carsment having children possibly abducted. you are possibly putting all of these children at risk. >> now the school district did release a statement saying, quote, we had to take a hard look at what could be cut without compromising student learning, eliminating these under utilized late run activity buses was clearly more responsible option than cutting educational program services or teachers. president obama has scheduled a news conference as nato wraps up its summit in whales. president and prime minister to confront islamic state limb at any time group reaking havoc. also urging regional partners such as jordan and turk toy join the effort, as well. much more to cover here on cbs-3, "eyewitness news", glitch in social network causes an embarrassing moment for the governor of delaware.

4:43 am
some rain later today. scattered, many places won't see anything at all, but storms that do pop up could be locally heavy, especially with the moisture in the atmosphere, we also are dealing with little fog this morning, across the area, that's also an indication of the warm moist air that is hanging overhead. here is a live look on "skycam 3", atlantic city, all lit up. you can kind of see the fog clinging to the shore line there, just careful, because the fog comes up on you quickly, not everywhere, but it is patchy dense fog this morning, and you could be driving and all the sudden visibility drastically reduced. so be safe out there on the roads, again, atlantic city looking good this morning, it will be a nice beach day. we go from summer to fall at least weather wise, we transition into the weekend. highs upper 80s, there is the warm steamy high flow it, will feel as hot as the mid 90s at times, thanks to the humidity, watch for those afternoon showers, maybe thunderstorm, locally heavy rain with any of them, but tomorrow, certainly, more organized pattern, to the thunderstorm activity, that's
4:44 am
because the next cold front arrives, will sweep in from the north and west, out ahead of the fronts. front, we get to 90, another hot, humid day, watch for the storms to come through in the afternoon and evening. then we clear that out, clearing, cooler, sunshine returning, highs in the 70s sunday, but we have to watch this front. it will stall off to the south. another little wave may track along it, may actually back in, as we head into early next week. it is trying to spoil my week down the shore next week, so hopefully we'll keep the showers on out. watch for better chance for shower activity as we get into next week. the eagles take a look at this forecast, doesn't get much better, 77 degrees at kick off sunday, winds out of the north at ten, it will be mostly sunny, so beautiful weather, feeling more football like certainly than it will today. today's high, 89, scattered afternoon showers, maybe thunderstorm, tonight partly cloudy, mild, muggy, at 726789 your eyewitness weather seven day forecast, "shorecast", hot and humid through tomorrow. then cooler sunday, but notice, tuesday, wednesday, the chance for a couple of showers. ukee, we send it back to you.
