5:44 am
mean? do you know how a sea breeze forms? do you know how a land breeze forms. lets see how this all sort of takes shape here. it is a micro climate. remember high to low pressure. that is the the way wind flows from high to low. in addition to that, you also have to keep in mind that land warms up a lot quicker, and also cools down a lot faster, then what you will fine in the open ocean the waters. that plays a big role in how these breezes form. if the land warms faster than the water, the warm air will rise and it will flow from high to low pressure out to sea. cooler ocean air will then sink, flows back toward land and gets the cyclone or clockwise flow going, with the wind flow. it is again all sort of leads to is a breeze. land breeze is basically opposite. land will cool faster than the water, allowing air to rise from the water and then move
5:45 am
back into the land which means cooler land air sinks and flows back out to the ocean. land, sea breeze that is how this all happens. there will be a quiz later, but with that said today, in the a terrible day at the shore. we will even up with sunshine, upper 70's, uv index is lower for us here and rip current risk remains moderate, that is simply because we are still watching an area of low pressure make retreat from yesterday. rip current risk has diminished somewhat but still out there please keep that in mind especially fact that so many life guard are done for the year so just be extra careful hitting shore points. by tomorrow we will be track our next cold front that will be moving through i think with potency. by early afternoon and towards evening there may be gusty strong thunderstorms that start to fire up. vittoria, over to you. >> thanks very much, katie. good morning everyone. traveling on the ben franklin bridge, we have construction on the westbound side compromising two right-hand
